I just returned from one of many visits to Israel and had an amazing stay at the King David Hotel. A classic with outstanding service, a room overlooking the old city and a world class swimming pool. The breakfast are fit for a king, so that you may not be hungry for lunch! Everything you would expect from a leading hotel and more.

It’s a modern and very sleek beautiful hotel. The employees are nice and helpful. However, the spa and gym are out of the hotel. You need to cross a bridge over the Mamilla Mall to get there but entering back, you need to ring the intercoms. The spa is very good, they give 10% off to hotel guest and the prices are very good once you convert it to dollars. The breakfast is a big buffet and is included in the stay. Overall, I would give the hotel a 4.8 star rating. We had a beautiful view of the old city. The hotel is located in the center of Jerusalem so you can get to places easily.

Location was excellent, and the room was huge for the two of us. We appreciated having two bathrooms! Staff was always friendly and helpful (such as with directions, restaurant recommendations). We had been ”scammed” by a hacker who took additional payment from us. When the management learned of this, they explained that 5 different hotels had been ”hacked,” and that they had taken exhaustive steps to secure their system. Furthermore, they discounted our room quite significantly so that the effect of the breach was minimized. This was very much appreciated and spoke to their professionalism and humanity! This is not a luxurious property or luxury hotel, but a good value for couples and families, very near Old Jerusalem. Cleaning was adequate but could be improved. Overall: Very positive experience: Excellent location (near Old Jerusalem, restaurants, bars, etc.). Huge room. Pleasant staff with good recommendations. Management responsive to losses due to hackers and to our overall experience. Highly recommended--great value for a non-luxury hotel!

The location was perfect, so easy to walk to the old city and the metro was at the bottom of the road. It’s also the perfect location for restaurants. The room was quite small but adequate. The bar area was not open during the stay. Was able to drop bags off before check in which was really useful.

My second review after a number of years staying here - and unfortunately things have started to slide! We stayed in a Family Room for four nights at the end of August. Now - I know there is a terrible war underway and we were one of very few tourists to visit Israel this summer, and I am also making a concession for the fact that the hotel has to remain viable, but they have clearly offered huge discounts to attract locals to the hotel, and unfortunately the calibre of other guests has rapidly declined. There is always chaos by the tiny roof top pool, but it was insanity over the weekend - like a tightly packed fish market. Breakfast (which is normally one of the best in Israel) was utter chaos and most disappointing, the service levels, normally so high have just vanished. Also sadly, the wonderful rooms are starting to decline - our room (724) had a battered vanity table, tatty and dirty curtains, damaged windows, weak A/C and wasn't properly clean. They also seem to have stopped offering a stocked mini bar, and we repeatedly asked one night for them to make up the bed in the lounge, and when we got back to the hotel at midnight, it had still not been made. There was also a revolting smell in the corridor that we reported twice, which was never rectified. Sadly, we will be staying at the Kind David or the Waldorf from now.

I can fully recommend this hotel to any visitor to Jerusalem.The service is greT and the care for their visitors exceptional.It is centrally located a 10 minute walk from the Central Bus Station on Jaffa Strett and a 10 minute walk to the famous Shuk,the open market.It is located on the first station of the Light Rail direction north. Great Breakfast and Dinner,very good bed,free Wi-Fi and plenty hot water.The prive?Very competitive and the lowest in its class.Again,fully reconnended.I’ve visited this hotel several times during my traverls and this is now my only choice.

Room looks a little bit rundown but it was spacious and the ensuite bathtub made for a great way to relax after an entire day of walking around in the city.
It was located a little distance from the Tram stop, so if you dont know the shortcut, it could take a while to see and walk to the hotel.
Breakfast selection and variety was great, enjoyed the meals thoroughly.
Location was near the civic centre and National Library, so that was a nice bonus.

On the plus side, it is a beautiful old building, and the location is fabulous, just a few minutes walk from the Damascus Gate (the entry into the most interesting part of the old city) and the nearby light rail stop. My room felt a bit tired and in need of an upgrade though - a decent coffee machine and real cups rather than disposable ones would be a good start. Staff were pleasant enough but didn't go out of their way to be helpful. There's a nice airy restaurant on the ground floor, but in a country with such fabulous food pretty much everywhere you go, I thought the breakfast left a lot to be desired, and for that reason I didn't attempt any other meals here. I was travelling alone and for a place to lay my head at night, it was perfectly fine and a reasonable price, but it wasn't a place that I wanted to linger in. If I were back in Jerusalem with my family I'd forego the atmosphere and look for something a bit more modern.

Just returned from my 13th visit to the superb Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem. Special thanks to Ihab from the front office who was very courteous and extremely helpful. Thanks to other staff from the front desk: Mohammed, Paulo, Assem and Karim. David, from the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem Security team, always with a nice smile and ready to help in any way possible. And a nice welcome at the hotel entrance by Ghoul and Neuber. Special mention to Maamoon and Fuad, the 2 professional Maitre d’hotel who continuously welcomed me with a warm smile and constantly went beyond to cater to all of my requests. And thanks to Hassan for assisting with my custom requests. And thank you Ira from the Dining room and thanks to Lila for the exceptional in-room dining service. It is always exciting to see the new foods added to the extraordinary Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem breakfast. New long baguette rolls. The tasty Matjes herring. And a yummy new croissant with an almond cream filling and crushed pistachios on top of the croissant. Mouth-watering breakfast. Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem. The Dream Hotel of the Middle East.

Beautiful classic hotel. Excellent service. Quiet rooms. Aircondioning was just right. Beautiful view from the 8th floor premium room with bacony. Rich breakfast. We took a deal with free entrance to the business lounge where they changed the menus 3 times a day.

Administrators, front desk, staff, and caretakers were helpful going above and beyond to make my superfast and very tight-schedule in Jerusalem possible. Rooms were neat, clean, and pre-cooled - good for instantly sleeping in my case. I couldn't go for breakfast due to time constraints but the lobby smelled so nice that I have no doubt whatever was inside was amazing! (P.s. 80% of taste is smell). Location-wise, the hotel is located in the heart of Jerusalem and however it is currently rated 4 stars, I feel everything here is equivalent to 5 or 7 star hotel I have visited given that I travel mostly with work on my mind and/or have visited hotels with professional company. The hotel was silent and peaceful and one can work there. Food was too tilted on the romantic side. The location was great. All of this was just 100 Euros is also very economical. Thank You to the lady at the reception for helping me to order a Dominos Pizza at 1 AM when I arrived and staff who received it for me.

Had a one night stay in this hotel. Pros: awesome location, right at the center close to the tram and the old city, clean, good maintenance, good service at reception and breakfast, wifi super-fast, very rich and varied breakfast. There was a bottle of water and chocolate in the room upon check-in - it was really nice for a budget hotel! Cons: It was noisy at night, I could hear adjacent doors opening and closing - it woke me up, constant noise from AC and minibar at night, pillows too stiff for me, towels were very small and thin - time for the hotel to replace them. To sum it up - this hotel is good value for money for a short stay in the city. It's basic, but has everything you need.

The location was great as it is very close to the city center and in the middle of an area with many shops and restaurants. One comment that I have is that the breakfast was missing labels on the food so we needed to ask in case we did not recognize the food.

JJonathan CThough we are returning guests and have been satisfied in the past, this visit over the Jewish New Year was not satisfactory. The wheelchair accessible room we had booked for my disabled wife and me was not available and the stony faced receptionist made no apology whatsoever. She eventually offered to move us to ”more suitable” room than the one we had been given next to our family - sending us to a different floor to an even less suitable room that the wheelchair couldn't even get into! We had to beg to get the original room back. Again no apology for the inconvenience. So my wife could not get into the bathroom or onto the balcony. The breakfast was scheduled to start at 7am - but the buffet didn't open till 7:30 when we were already leaving. For dinner on the second night we invited extra guests and were 10 around the table. Dinner was listed as finishing at 10:30, but at 9:30 we were asked to leave as they wanted to close the dining room - we exited by 9:45. Very disappointing.

Right next to the central bus station (you can travel up and down the length of israel) which boasts restaurants, clothing shops, pharmacy and bakery's, which were all very well priced . Mary at the desk was wonderful and assist us whenever necessary.

Arabe area, nice people!!! Close to all!! Great staff!! All the emploees are nice, helpfull and happy!! They do all to make your stay better!! Rooms are good enough!! You have all you need. Negative: The first time l stayed at the 2nd floor. Great. This time at 3rd, rooms 304 and 305, my mother. They are located under the restaurant and kitchen. Due to that, there was noises from chairs and coocking, but not so bad! Breakfast was very good, but the refill was not!
