I don't think there is a bad Four Seasons anywhere / The Westcliff checked every box. My partner and I were there for 3 nights / the staff is remarkable. Every single interaction is met with a smile and graciousness that you rarely find these days. It starts with the bellman and front desks warm welcoming and carries over to every single employee. The head concierge Ms Mpho put together 2 days of tours that hit all the highlights of JNB with top notch drivers. She made wonderful suggestions for restaurants and secured the bookings. There is a reason for all the compliments this property receives. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have ever had at a hotel / the wait staff is engaging and energetic / Basil the wine steward knowledgeable and a ”10”

I stayed at the Melville Turret for 9 days, alone, split between work and vacation. Everything went very well, and I highly recommend this Guesthouse with its welcoming, friendly, warm and smiling staff, always available to meet any need. I had initially booked a room for only 5 days, I had no problem extending this stay directly on site. The rooms are clean and well appointed, as are the collective areas. Very pretty interior courtyard. Breakfast is generously prepared by Prisca, incredibly kind and with whom it is very easy to exchange and share (I miss your smile :) ). The street and the neighborhood are calm and safe, we are close (10 min walk) to activities / bars / restaurants on 7th. I could not have asked for better for a first experience in Johannesburg. My husband and me, we traveled to ZA for the first time. Our first stop was at The Ashford guesthouse. That was actually a perfect choice! :-) I really loved their fittings and furnishings on the whole property. Everything was so lovely! We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff has been unbelievable great, too! As we are booth vegans, it was difficult to find the right accommodation. But the guesthouse staff is open minded to create a vegan breakfast every morning. It was delicious! The situation of the guesthouse is good, as you have the chance to walk to the Rosebank Mall close by. There, you can find lots of shops and restaurants. All in all, we definitely recommend this place! As we won’t make it to the Kruger NP this time, we definitely have to come back and we’ll book this guesthouse again! :-) Thanks for everything!

The customer service us excellent...from the reception right through the whole stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. They have hot and cold breakfast options. No room service though! The snack restaurant serves great meals. We'll worth a visit if you are looking for budget friendly accommodation in the heart of the city!

Das Hotel mit der schönsten Aussicht in ganz Johannesburg. Tolles Personal, super hilfreich und freundlich. Die Zimmer sind angenehm gross und mit Balkon. Die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum. Nur zu empfehlen. Besser jedoch mit einem Uber/Taxi bringen lassen. Selbst die paar Meter zu Fuss von Park Station sind nicht sorgenfrei.
