The staff at the Westcliff have made this entire experience truly remarkable. From Reception all the way to the staff at the spa, every member of staff made this stay and our wedding something so special. The food was also absolutely delicious and everything we ate was amazing! to make a special note about Kevern, from the moment we sent our first email he has gone above and beyond to not only make us feel welcome but to ensure every step of our wedding journey went perfectly. He ensured that every milestone was an event in itself and we feel like he is the main reason why we had such an incredible day. He was controlling everything in the background so that we weren't stressed about anything which we appreciated so much. He also made sure that we got our alone time together on our wedding day in the rush of everything which is the time that we cherished most. Kevern is not only an amazing leader of his team but also such an amazing person and we could not be more thankful of everything that he did. We feel part of the Four Seasons family and we are extremely grateful. Thank you to everyone at The Westcliff.

The house located in a very good area, the room is very clean , the problem is that the house owner didn't welcome me in the begging because he didn't notice my booking, I didn't get the breakfast as he didn't prepare for me and for sure, there was no welcome fruit, I think better any one want to go there should call 1 day before he arrive

Picked this hotel due mostly to location, stayed only one night. We used the Gautrain to get to the hotel from the airport, it was an easy and safe walk with luggage to the hotel along a pedestrian only street. Check in staff were very friendly and offered us a much needed cool welcome drink. Room was wonderful, AC was working and we each had a generous bottle of water, if there was any load shedding that night we did not notice it. We decided to dine in the hotels Proud Mary restaurant after noticing it seemed to be the busiest restaurant on the street, we were not disappointed, we had an excellent dinner and breakfast the next morning. Door staff stored our luggage the next day as we toured around a bit, and when we returned to pick it up they offered us a lift to the Gautrain station in a golf cart, which was really appreciated. This hotel and restaurant exceeded our expectations, wished we had time to spend another night.

Bed is super comfortable. They provide two type of pillow - soft and firm pillow which is good so you don’t have to deal with neck pain. They have smart TV so you can watch Youtube or Netflix. Room is spacious and clean. You can see Johannesburg city from your room without any other building blocking. The mall is connected with the hotel and the area is still safe for me as solo female traveller to walk around. There is also MCD, KFC and Starbucks nearby if you didn’t want to opt for the breakfast.

They have all the amenities you could possibly need, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, well-lit and spacious. The Pride, though kept well, was slightly dated. There should be some type of assessment of each room so that they are able to keep its mystique intact (it’s time to get rid of every DVD player in your hotel… It's ok, no one will notice) Hotel Grounds: 5/5 It’s situated in Melrose, so the hotel grounds are also part of the Melrose in a way though they do have a pool area, which is spectacular. They also have an amazing restaurant attached to them where you can pick up an amazing breakfast before starting your journey touring the sites in Joburg. Location: 5/5 The location in Melrose Arch is a huge plus. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance, so you'll never run out of things to do. Conclusion: 4.75/5 I highly recommend the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in Johannesburg. You will surely enjoy your stay while you visit JoBerg. Things to be aware of: Power issues plague the entire country. Places like African Pride have backup generators to assist with making your experience more enjoyable. When you have temporary blackouts, it is because the generator is assisting to maintain power to the entire building. Anyone who blames APM for power issues should be more aware of the countries they visit. APM doesn’t appear to have a fitness Gym on site, but you have access to a nearby gym, which is from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., I believe ( I could be wrong). Go to the front desk. Almost everything exceeded our expectations, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you feel like royalty. The rooms are big and comfortable. The pillows sleep like a dream and the decor makes you feel like you're travelling back in time to when Marilyn Monroe was putting on her best show. Reception went out of their way to assist me with an extra bed for my daughter, free of charge. Breakfast was delicious. Someone is always asking if you want a coffee top up (yes please!). To the omelette chef, sir, I salute you! I LIVE for your omelettes. We even took advantage of the pool area, topped up my tan and enjoyed the clear, cool waters for a bit. If I were asked if there was anything they could do to improve our stay for next time, it would be a tiny one as this place already goes above and beyond. But, if anything, it would be to serve drinks at the pool. It would undoubtedly fulfil the dream stay. A couple of the waitresses came up to our table to tell my friend what beautiful eyes she has. If only they knew how much she needed the confidence boost, it's like God himself had sent them. Fire & Ice is simply the best! We were always greeted with the biggest smiles and best ”good mornings”, even told how radiant we look even though we'd just woken up. A lovely compliment goes a long way, so thank you! The location is excellent on Melrose Arch, very safe area and close by to many good restaurants. The best part is the Big Red City Bus stops right in front of the hotel. The location is an easy UBER ride to many of the tourist sites. The hotel serves an awesome breakfast with a large variety delicious of hot & cold foods. The dinner menu is also very good. The amenities are also very good. It offers excellent lounges and a beautiful court yard to relax in for drink, breakfast, coffee or to lounge by the pool. The service was exceptional from the moment I stepped into the hotel. Was welcomed by the Potter who took my bags from the car and accompanied me to the reception area for my check in. The concierge was amazing all the way to my room. The environment is serene and very clean. I enjoyed the food which is reasonably priced as well.
