I tried to pay using my card and the hotel told me they only accept cash, if that is the case then they should have made it clear on Trip.com but I only knew about their terms and conditions when I arrived. I am definitely disappointed and very frustrated with both the app and hotel, the receptionist said if I did not have cash I should cancel my booking but when I try to do so on the app they did not refund me back my money which is very infuriating. I tried going back to the hotel and asking them why they rejected my request for a refund but the receptionist look at me clueless and seem to not even show a sense of helpfulness, which made me feel more upset the least she could do was pretend to be helpful and not sit there like you are forced to be doing your job. The receptionist just said “it’s not under us but the system” then why bother advertising your hotel at Trip.com if you are not sure how the procedure for a refund will work? I would give this hotel a thumbs down for the lack of effort I see, not being able to pay in cash is one thing but keeping my money after saying you only accept cash is beyond ridiculous to me.
