Katerina Apartments

Fabulous accommodation - been to Kálymnos 1 or 2 times a year for 30 years and stayed in many different hotels/apar**ents. This has to be the best. Run by Ramona and her lovely family - great rooms, clean, comfy, shower always hot, beautiful pool area, pool bar is lovely and serves fab food. Very close to Pothia but once inside it was so peaceful. I would not hesitate to recommend this little jewel to anyone - superb 👌🏿 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

We a wonderful stay here . The family that run this business are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble and helped to make our holiday enjoyable . Lovely swimming pool and comfortable sun beds set within a quiet location near to the lively town with good nightlife . Would recommend this place especially if you like authentic Greek culture and rustic charm . We hope to return one day .

These apar**ents are rated as 2 star which is a good reflection of them. The grounds are very pleasant and the pool is lovely and clean. Position wise the apar**ents are about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Pothia, but you take your chances with the traffic walking into Pothia as it is along a narrow road without a pavement. The nearest super market is about a 10 minute walk away along the same road There is a well stocked bar but it’s more expensive than other bars. The nearest bars and tavernas are in Pothia The apar**ent was very basically furnished with only a couple of drawers. There is a kitchenette but nothing worked and no pots, pans etc. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment and the extractor fan had been partially disconnected and didn’t work. Towels were provided but they were tatty and smelt of mothballs. We had a nice terrace overlooking the pool area with a drying rack and seating Buffet breakfast was simple but adequate with coffee and tea on tap Would I visit Kalymnos again? Yes Would I stay at these apar**ents again? No

2 star accomodation, 5 star pool and hospitality in this family run premises . Central but quiet location close to port and wide choice of bars and restaurants on the front and down the narrow streets by and past the town hall, well worth a try. NO franchise McDonald's, Costa, KFC etc, GREAT !

What a fantastic location. In the centre of pothia, close to useful shops and 10 minutes walk from the beutiful port. Surprising tranquil with well kept garden and mountain (and monestary) views. The lovely family who run this hotel only took over recently and what a good job they are doing with it. Although there is still some updating to be done, their plans for the place sound sensible. They stayed up until we arrived after 2am and gave us such a warm welcome. The pool side bar serves fantastic cocktails, and great food. They were able to cater well for our children's food intolerance and really made us feel nothing was too much trouble. The pool was lovely, deep enough for some good diving practice for the kids. Often we were the only people by the pool, but I'm not sure if this was just fluke?! Would highly recommend this hotel, for a pocket friendly holiday. we would love to return. Thank you

Just back from Katerina Studios & Apar**ents!! Truly enjoyed our stay!! Very close to harbour & seafront about a 10 minute walk! But the small hotel is like a little oasis with Mountain View’s surrounding! Pool was lovely, clean & was lucky to have it to ourselves a fair amount!! Pool was deep so kids needed floats or armbands even tho they can swim! The rooms were basic but clean & decent size! We had a family room with a separate bedroom for adults & three beds in other room with fridge & 2 ring hob! With glasses plates & cutlery! Beds were the comfiest at this level of accommodation I’ve had in Greece and bedding & towels changed everyday apart from Sunday by very friendly staff! Air Con is extra but worth it! Breakfast was simple but more than enough to start your day! Coffee machine with espresso, cappuccino etc & tea, lovely bread rolls, boiled eggs, tomato’s, cucumber, cheese, ham, cereal, slices of cake with jam & honey! Pool bar was relaxing & drinks were lovely especially the fresh orange juice, milkshakes & cocktails very nice flavours!! Snack bar style food looked very nice & decent portions! Ramona & her staff were very hospitable and she would go out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay! We got the ferry over to the island after midnight but they waited up to check us in! We found some lovely restaurants in Pothia, Stukas Taverna for Tradtional Greek, Mpakalogatos for wonderful Meze! Matheos in Masouri & Jacks Yiros in Myrties for a lovely snack with sea view roof terrace! We hired a motor boat for the day which was fabulous was to explore the coast & deserted beaches! We caught the ferry back to Kos for an afternoon in Mastichari! Telendos Island was my favourite day out so quaint & idilic! Love traditional Kalymnos & Katerina Apar**ents! Wonderful holiday!!

A hidden gem in the middle of town but quiet with Mountain View’s to the monastery. Recently refurbished and new owners these studios offer real value for money. A short walk to town , harbour and two beaches with several great restaurants to visit. Room was spacious, basic with fridge and small cooking rings. Didn’t use these but noticed no cooking pans or utensils ( sure if you asked the lovely staff would provide) Breakfast was basic continental no frills but adequate. The staff were really friendly and helpful, floor could have been cleaned more and balcony needed a good clean. Air conditioning an extra charge ( same as a lot of hotels now!) Don’t usually use it a lot but in extreme heat really needed it!

Ideally situated, just 10 minutes walk to the harbour front where there is plenty of choice of bars and restaurants. The hotel is very clean, pool is great, the food is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms could do with being updated and the owners who took the hotel over recently recognise this and said it will be done soon. I will definitely stay there again.

Great alternative choice. The hotel is well kept and the owner is extremely accommodating. This is the place to stay in Kalimnos.
