Thank you so much for a delightful stay. The staff were so accommodating and lovely and the rooms were beautiful with a great view. This is such a quaint and welcoming environment. The breakfast is yummy and the staff even allowed us to eat earlier as we were due to go on safari!

The pool is tiny, the gym is full of broken equipment and the staff are not particularly friendly or helpful. I was massive overcharged for drinks and breakfast, and there was lots of noise in my room from the room next door. Given that there’s so many simlarly priced options in Kampala I would really recommend that you avoid this place.

I gave the hotel a higher rating because it totally met our needs and expectations. I don’t want to stay in a place with next to no amenities where I feel unsafe, but I also don’t want to pay a crazy amount to sleep for a night or two, no matter how nice it is! The Humura was our speed. Spacious room, a wall of windows onto green space, comfortable bed and linens, reasonably working AC, QUIET, (except that the walls are thin! We used a background noise app because we could hear out neighbours.). Ensuite bath ✔️ - although hot water was off and on. Great breakfast and nice pool . The.pool is not ‘blue’ bc it’s made of local stone slabs, not a blue liner. It was refreshing and clean. The decor/art is great - a lovely African vibe. This is our new retreat spot in Kampala. We’ll be back.

Absolutely loved staying at Humura, staff are very friendly and helpful. They keep the hotel clean and go out of their way to ensure you are happy with their service. Woud definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in total, over 2 visits, on a recommendation from friends. The hotel is so tranquil in the middle of a big bustling city, & is a place to relax & recharge. Staff are friendly & helpful. Although the menu isn’t very big, the food was very good & fresh. The location is ideally situated for visiting the Uganda museum & the Acacia mall & other restaurants are in within walking distance. We will definitely return here on our next visit to Uganda.

The good: Good sized room, plenty hot water, good AC, very quiet, central, cosy and small place - a nice getaway in busy Kampala. Friendly staff. Nice view. The bad: Extremely firm bed, could feel the springs through. The place is a bit worn, and refurbishment was going on while we were there (noise). Images of the garden taken with wide angle lens - much smaller that it appears in the pictures. Breakfast was plain, but tasty. Gym was tiny, but equipment good. Poor ventilation, unless you open the sliding door. Bit musty. The ugly: The pool. No circulation or filtration, shallow, narrow. More of a decorative piece in the garden than a serious pool to swim in.

The bedroom window did not have a net so we had to keep the curtains drawn all day so the people in the neigbouring property do not look into the room. The breakfast was cold,no food warmers,and lacked variety. The bar lacked the local beer we wanted (tusker malt) so we had to settle for something else. The Television in the room was not working; according to the receptionist, the technician went away for xmas so it was a general fault...mind you we stayed on 6th January, 2 weeks after xmas.

We really enjoyed our stay at Humura and especially enjoyed how friendly kind and helpful the staff were to us throughout our stay, they really made us feel welcome. It was a ideal location to get into town and around Kampala while also have some distance from the chaos. It was lovely to sit in the restaurant and read our books to chill out. We had an issue with the noise early in the morning, but once we spoke to the team, they sorted this out straight away, very prompt and great customer service. I would stay again if I go back to Kampala.

A lovely quiet refuge in the middle of bustling Kampala. There is a palpable sense of calm the moment you arrive, and the manager and his staff are so welcoming. The bed was comfortable, with proper mosquito nets, and there was a plentiful supply of free bottled water. I didn’t have much time for breakfast, but what I had was excellent and fresh. The location is convenient for the city and for Makerere University.
