PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here for 4 nights, while at a conference in the hotel. Overall, it was a lovely experience. The rooms were clean and functional, yet smaller than I had anticipated. Our room had a double bed, one sitting chair, and a desk. Each side of the bed had a nightstand. The room also has a rack to hang clothes and some awkward shelves that open in a way that make them unusable. There was very little space around the furniture though. It was quite cluttered with our luggage. The location is so/so. It's along the water/harbor, which is nice, but it's a 10+ minute walk into the city center. It's not a flat walk either. You have to cross over the train tracks via a walking bridge. It was doable, but kinda annoying. The best part of our stay were the lovely and accommodating staff and the restaurant. The breakfast, as others have pointed out, is pretty darn amazing. While our other hotels in Norway had similar options, this hotel really took it to the next level. There was nothing overlooked. If you could imagine it, they had it. It really was quite remarkable. The fried eggs topped with crispy bacon were so very amazing. The eggs tasted SO much better than U.S. eggs. They also have so many more options than traditional fare of eggs, meat, and potatoes--they have a yogurt bar, meat and cheese bar, pancakes with toppings bar, veggies and dip bar, juice bar. Really, you name it. The catered event lunches were nice, too, and loaded with tasty desserts. One drawback was that hotel lacks self-service laundry options. We used a drop-off service nearby that was SO expensive. We couldn't find anywhere to do it ourselves. Overall, this hotel is a solid choice for Trondheim. The breakfast alone is worth coming here!
