Our first visit to Turkiye and this hotel. Let's start with the positive: Housekeeping: Always greet you with a smile and work hard. Anything extra you need is delivered straight away. Cleaning Team: They work so hard round the pool areas and inside the hotel, keeping it spotless. One lady removed a rat that one of the cats was playing without being asked. They always smile even though they have a hard job. Restaurant staff: Hard working, they never stop. Will clear a table quickly so you can eat and always welcoming. Bar Staff: Never was there a big queue for drinks. They would all remember you and how you liked your drinks and made sure to check if you wanted a top-up. Life Guards: They look after the pools so well and make sure everyone is safe. A couple of times we were there , hey had to dive in to get people from the slides. You can also sit and have a chat with them and make sure to grab them a drink. Entertainment Team: Welcoming and friendl, get everyone to join in but not too pushy. Remember your name. There is a range of things for all people. Food: The food is lovely, it's always being topped up and there is plenty to choose from. The grill outside was beautifully cooked. Yes, it can be a bit repetitive, but they have to cater for some many people, and I think they do this well. The deserts are to die for. Now the negatives: Transfer: 3 and a half hours to arrive and 4 hours going back, and this was on the speedy transfer. It's too long to get there. I would definitely recommend a private transfer. Check-in: What a disaster check-in was, we had booked 2 x 2 family rooms. I handed the paperwork over that clearly stated this and were not given the rooms we had booked. Our names were not put down correctly for the rooms, and we spent the first 2 hours after arriving, going back and forth to reception, trying to get sorted. One of the rooms given was a deluxe. When I complained, I was told we had to wait until the morning when Managers were in to change as the hotel was full. So where was the room I booked if full? The WiFi then didn't work, which was vital for us as our phones didn't work in Turkiye and we needed to know where all our party was. It took 8 attempts walking back and forth to reception to get sorted. The next morning, we tried to get rooms sorted (more on the rooms to come) and were told no as the hotel was full, I asked to speak to a Manager and was told they can't do anything as the hotel was full. So again, where was the room I paid for? Eventually, one of the holiday reps found us and said he had sorted another room. This took up so much of our morning and not a great start to our holiday. Rooms: These are not 5 star rooms. We were given a dark and dingy room above the bar that is called the Gypsy Lounge. The noise was so loud you felt like you were sitting in the bar. Then the nightclub across the road started at 11pm and didn't stop until 3am, no sleep the whole time we were there. Our second room was directly above,
