Hotel 2 Bintang di Keflavik

Typical airport hostel, which has exactly what you need (and no more) for a single night before leaving the country. In the name of truth, the standard of this hostel is more like a 2- or 3-star hotel than of a typical hostel! Although rooms are spacious, the beds are curiously narrow, but the mattresses are good, so the sleep quality is good - after all. Breakfast is already served from 4 o'clock in the morning, so even those of us who (sigh!) had to catch a very early flight could have breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast is a bit basic, but besides bread the quality and variation is OK. We didn't meet any staff at all other than the receptionist. She was friendly, but indeed on cruise control, so you really had to have your ears perked up to get any of the information.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Everything needed was provided. Being able to make a hot drink and having a microwave was very welcoming. The breakfast had a great selection and was very tasty. Location close to the airport is very convenient for the early flight.

This is the worse hotel/BB I've ever set my foot in. It had a totally unacceptable standard. Check-in was quick and quite abrupt. The room was in a very bad condition. The bed linen was totally worn out and the pillowcase seemed already used with several dark hairs on it. The duvet was thin and worn our and so was the towel. I removed the duvet and pillow and used my sleeping bag instead. The door had scratches as if someone had tried to escape from it, unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the scratches around the looker on inside of the door, it must have been made by someone with someting hard who was desperate. The bathroom was unbelievable. See the pictures. It was dirty and broken. The bath mat who I was meant to share with the other rooms was totally worn out. There was hair in the shower, that was a total wreck. I didn't shower during my stay because of this. The wi-fi was non-existing on my room. The breakfast was really bad. The juices was presented in containers and so diluted with water that there was barely any color left. It tasted nothing. Everything was out of its original packing and probably of the cheapest brand available, at least it tasted so. I tried the apple juice and just had to pour it out. Ended up with two toast bread with jam, I guess that was the most tasty. The airport shuttle was limited to pre-defined times, and could be full if you didn't order it early the day before. The latest departure in the morning from the BB was 0740 am. I guess its convenient for the hotel to get the guests out early. The parking is not free if you book via ******* a note said. I paid 16000 ISK for one night. I really regret booking this hotel. I didn't feel secure and there wasn't a friendly atmosphere so I just pulled it through the night. The shared kitchen was in ok condition, but that was the only positive thing to say. I could have taken a lot more pictures to document this, but my priority ended up looking forward to leave as quick as possible. Luckily I got a shared room at a hostel closer to the airport the next day. That was Hilton standard compared to this.

An excellent place to stay and only 9 mins from the airport. Great to stay on arrival or night before departure. We were met by the owner, Reynir. The B&B was homely, warm and welcoming. Our bedroom was the music room, where the decoration of the room was musical instruments along the ceiling. A very quirky, different kind of property situated next to the sea. I only had to cross a road to view the Northern Lights who were displayed beautifully. We had a lovely breakfast before setting off on our trip. Transfers and drops offs to the airport are offered, but we had a hired car. There was also use of a fabulous hot tub. Would definitely recommend Ravens B&B

Only stayed the night and requested a room overlooking airport, which we got. Room was OK, Bed & resulting sleep were good. Reminded me of a slightly older premier inn only at four times the price you might have expected more.. breakfast was nothing special but the bread roll was OK ...

Booked a family room for my family to stay after a cruise trip. The description of the room is for 5 people occupancy. We were 2 adults and 3 children. However, there was no option to increase the number of people before the pre-set “2 adults” in my booking on the app. Plan changed and we had one more family member coming on the cruise so I requested a roll-away bed in our room or have our reservation changed to two triple rooms to accommodate the additional family member 4 months prior our arrival. Despite repeated emails direct to the hotel and messages via the booking app, there was no response from the hotel to address this issue. On the day of arrival, in the rain with 3 young children, the hotel reception informed us that in order to accommodate all of us, we have to pay almost 300usd in addition to the 450usd we already paid for the family room for 1 night. We think paying for the rollaway and additional person is absolutely fair but now we are 700usd+ for 1 room for 1 night at a 3-star hotel. A little heads up anytime during the 4 months period between our request and arrival would be courtesy.

This hotel is very clean, the room was large and the bed very comfortable. It is situated on a little harbour and we had a nice room with a harbour view. There is a restaurant attached and the food was excellent. My only issue is that it is about a 10 min drive from the airport and the taxi ride one way was 42 euros which translated to $136 Canadian dollars round trip, that was a bit of a sticker shock for a 10 min ride (20 min total).

We arrived in Keflavik after more than 27 hours flying from South Australia and looking forward to a good night's sleep. The hotel was only a short drive from the airport. The bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. My room overlooked the ocean. There were tea and coffee making facilities with a good range of tea and coffee. The shower was hot and the bathroom floor was heated. I am happy that we are also booked in there the night before leaving Iceland.

Posto bellissimo arredato in maniera fantastica, da fuori non è molto carino, non è un albergo quindi non ha una reception ma all’interno ho trovato tutto quello di cui avevo bisogno. Ho letto molto grande lenzuola pulite e stirate cosa non semplice da trovare in Islanda c’è un divano ed un ulteriore letto. Televisione nuovissima e particolarmente grande. Bagno spazioso la colazione già presente in camera, non paragonabile con una di albergo appena preparata è varia
