We stayeds for three nights in November 24 and found it to be a lovely place to stay and would stay again without hesitation. Our room was large, comfortable with lovely decor and furnishing. There is a guest lounge and private entrance to the rooms. The choice at breakfast was broad and everything was beautifully cooked and presented in a dining room which sparkled. Our car nav took us to the wrong side of the main road but Kirby Mills is a tiny hamlet on the edge of Kirbymoorside so if you don't see the sign, try across the road, the entrance is well signed and only 40 yards off the main road. The centre of Kirbymoorside is a 12 minute walk away and has a wide choice of pubs and foody places Highly recommended.

Excellent stay, room very comfortable and tea in the lounge on arrival was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was great and the owner Karen was very hospitable. High level of attention to detail and the fine bone china a classy touch. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

We have stayed at the Cornmill for over 15 years - highly recommended. Quality of guest rooms and breakfast excellent. Always a warm welcome from Karen and Chris. Situated in a peaceful location and a short stroll to pubs, shops, eateries etc. We will be back.

We have stayed here before, just wanted to say it is still as good and had a lovely stay again Karen the owner was as nice and very welcoming. Had three nights there and a smashing breakfast good start to the day. Will stay there, again when we are up that way Will not be looking for any where else lovely stay.

Just had a weekend stay at the Cornmill for my wife's birthday what an amazing place room 4 we had 4 poster bed decor and furniture was like stepping back in time lovely court yard to sit out in the evening nice walks to take breakfast was very nice great hosts would return when in the area again

Stayed here just for a weekend. Beautiful setting, welcomed by friendly owner. Breakfast lovely, freshly cooked to order. Room cozy and full of character. Dining room stunning with centrepiece of the old watermill running underneath the room. Well worth a stay!

I booked in with a friend to the Cornmill B&B post-Covid. I tried a different room (5) which was a real pleasure. My room ran front to back and featured a terrific free-standing bath. The bed was vast and the room layout was really good. The level of cleanliness, quality freebies and careful thought about extras e.g. a shoe horn were outstanding. My few special requests were no problem and the welcome and attentiveness from the owners Karen and Chris was genuine. The difference between this and my previous pandemic visit was evident: daily room cleaning, some self-choice breakfast and more contact/communication with the hosts made it even better than before. We had a really luxurious and relaxed break, and even the weather cooperated! Highly recommended.

What a gem in a beautiful setting. Lovely hosts and scrupulously clean establishment in very rural setting. Short walk to Kirby moor side and handy for Pickering and Whitby. Overcame my initial disappointment of not having a shower in the en-suite but my wife loved the bath. Most rooms have shower but if you are fussed, ask when you book. Breakfast in a very lovely room cluttered with an assortment of memorabilia with one end having a glass floor to view rushing water of the old mill race. Not something you see everyday. Breakfast cooked to order and satisfactory. Easy parking and great Wi-Fi so we will avoid the chains and go back here when want a ramble in the area.

We booked the Cornmill as we wanted to go walking around the Kirkbymoorside area and we were so pleased that we did. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and offered tea / coffee in the guest lounge. The room we stayed in was beautiful and lived up to the photos on the website. The bed and bedding were so comfortable, and a good night sleep was had by all. Karen cooked a first-class breakfast and Chris served it up wonderfully. What attentive hosts they are, thank you. This is our new base when visiting the area again.
