Hotel 3 Bintang di Koh Chang

I had an exceptional experience staying at Pajamas. I booked a private room that was clean, quiet but not too isolated if I wanted to socialise. The staff were incredible and the over all mood and feel of the residents was really lovely. If ever I needed any help the staff were so good about it. The beach is just a stone's throw away and the hostel has very convenient access. The sunsets are great. The only thing I wish I did differently was I wish I had stayed longer.

The place is very nice but a little bit far from everything. Very cozy. About the bathroom the water cut off at some moment. But I really like the style of this place.

We stayed with 4 people in one of the 4 people houses (Family bungalow with sea view). They are nice if you want the feeling of your ”own place”. They are located to the left when going down the road and facing the reception building, while everything else is to the right side. That gives some privacy, which is nice. The 4 person buildings are made of wood, and it seems they have been painted white recently. The location is nice. It is between two of the main beaches, so you need some kind of transport if you like to visit the island. During the day, taxis are available. The road is not for beginner scooter drivers, take that into account. Let's summarize what we liked and what not. This takes into account the rather high price of 3600 THB per day. The good: + Nice location in the jungle, far away from any party noise. For a chill experience, this is the place. + Friendly staff, taking care of the customers. Good English skills. Professional use of handheld radios to get stuff done quickly. + Attentive service in the restaurant + Small, but good breakfast in relaxed atmosphere. + Modern and clean AirCon units. Two units in the room (one downstairs, one for upstairs) gives options if you like it cool, but do not like to have cold air blowing in your face. + Nice beach. Yes, there are some rocks, but that is nature. The bad: + Wi-Fi is a hit/miss, with access points on poles facing the houses. 2.4 / 5 Ghz provided, but not enough APs, so signal strength often worse than -80dBm, which is not sufficient. + Construction rubble scattered around the premises. This includes sharp stuff on the walking ways, and leftover paint on the grass. This could be removed easily. The ugly: + No Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELB / RCCB). Even with them not mandatory in Thailand, for 3600 THB a day, the electric setup should include these. The water heater did include a build in ELB, but the fuse box did not. In a luxury resort, this should be standard, considering the wet climate Considering the rather high price, we would give this 3 out of 5 points. This can easily be a 5 points resort, the negative stuff can be easily changed. We will be back next year, and will update the review then.

Old, dated and Mouldly. Thos place is such a disaster not even a sewerage rat wouod want to stsy here. As the pictures can attest this is probably the worst place to stay oj the island. The pool is dirty. Broken dirty deck chairs. No wifi. Noisy aircon. No HOT water rubbisglh piled everywhere. Even in reception.... 🤯 Broken wooden walkways dirty and Mouldly bathroom. Greasy bed linen. Checked out promptly and found cheaper and more comfortable accomodation 1 block away. Much better places just a few steps away. The pictures on their hotels. Com agoda and Expedia are old and dated. Noisy kids in the dirty pool. The receptionist is the cleaner as well. Infested with insects mosquitos crickets and 🦎 geckos

-The hotel is right next to the beach and the grounds are beautiful and well kept, -The room was modern and comfortable, -Entertainment in the evening, we enjoed watching some great musicians and fire shows, -The pool over looks the beach which is great for watching sunsets, -Great location at the end of White Sand Beach with lots of shops and restaurants next door Cons -We arrived in the morning and understandably our room wasn't ready so we waited until they told us it was but after the check in time at 2pm we had heard nothing from them so we asked if we could check in, apparently our room still wasn't ready, we asked how long and they wouldn’t tell us, in the end we waited another 45mins for it to be ready. It all seemed very unorganised and stressful. -We asked for a double bed but it was 2 singles pushed together so we had a hard wooden frame in the middle of our bed, -The hook to hold the shower up didn't work so we had to manually hold the shower head whilest showering, -Basic breakfast (although the egg station was nice), -Upon check in we were asked to pay a cash deposit and when checking out they didn't give it back to us, we only remembered when we had left the hotel and had to go back and get it. The receptionist apologised and said he forgot

Heavily talked up all over the Internet we booked 3 nights here for a beach break. On arrival the staff were slow and uninterested during check in. The room was nice but smelt of damp. The owners are aware of this because there were 3 airfresheners in our bathroom. After our first night our room was not cleaned the next day. Upon enquiring that afternoon we learnt that if we wanted fresh towels and the room cleaned etc that we should have put a hanging sign on the room door. Fine, but tell us on check in or have a note in the room to that effect. There was a whiff of using environmental impacts as an excuse for no cleaning. You have to get up early to get a beach chair under the tree for some shade. Would like to suggest that 15 Palms manage the allocation of beach chairs for their residents. Restaurant is overpriced and the Thai food beyond poor. We had 2 curries which were more like watery soup. It's a place to eat Sunday lunch. Staff although good at what they do lacked that Thai smile and attentiveness. Quite often the bar area filled with expats. Nothing wrong with that in the right place but for a beachside family/couples orientated hotel perhaps should be reconsidered?

Tourism has certainly picked up since my last visit last year. I made table reservations for my small group for dinner at the Mac beach bar. At night you have the choice of tables undercover or on the beach. We dined undercover. Service was good. Everyone enjoyed their food at reasonable island prices. Entertainment was provided by way of a fire show and a live music band next door at Sabay beach bar. Good dining experience overall.

Об этом отеле есть разные отзывы, так как у них разные домики (бунгало). Общая инфраструктура и сервис хорошие - хорошие завтраки, бассейны, чистый пляж и удобное расположение отеля. Есть большая бесплатная парковка, ресторан со столиками у моря. Красиво оформлена территория. Но в самих бюджетных бунгало нет ничего хорошего (возможно как-то иначе в дорогих). Очень мало места, некуда расположить даже вещи. Всё очень старое, грязное включая простыни, сантехнику и другое. Стены на столько грязные что их нужно уже перекрашивать а не мыть. По углам внизу на дверях и стенах плесень. Даже в солнечный день вы будете использовать плотные шторы и включать свет из-за того что перед панорамными окнами ходят соседи. Пока не повесили табличку о необходимости уборки номера, его не убирали и даже мусор из номера не был выкинут за пару дней (про смену простыней и полотенец просто молчу). Места расположения домиков разные, наш домик был на крайней линии к дороге и был слышен шум машин, есть дома ближе к пляжу, тут как повезет (6 рядов домов). Справедливости ради - шум с дороги небольшой и нам спать не мешал, но для кого-то может это будет плохо. Из хорошего в домиках - всегда горячая вода, мало шума от соседей, кондиционер работал нормально, есть холодильник (чайника нет, фена нет). В целом на пару ночей можно остановиться, но это не будет райским отдыхом в бунгало.
