Hotel Miodowa

After spending 5 lovely nights in Prague. I came to Kraków hoping to continue that streak. How wrong was I. First the hotel is a very run part of town. Crime is fairly low here. But to any outsider walking alone at night outside hotel area feels really unsettling. Had to get my own milk as they don't provide any for you to make a drink. They have "Sound Proofing" apparently. Well I was literally woken every 1 of the 5 nights i stayed here. You hear people above you stomping across the ceiling at all hours. The main front door slamming (3 floors down) the constant banging of doors & talking from the hallways. I had to go out into the landing at 6.10am on Saturday morning. To tell 6 kids to stop running in & out the rooms slamming doors. You then had the high speed train that goes all night. My "city view" was the rooftop of the bar next door & the high-speed viaduct that the high-speed train constantly travels along. Breakfast hardly had any choice. After the 2nd day of eating cereal I didn't bother going down again. The young male with glasses that's on in the evening. Was the most ignorant receptionist I've ever come across. Everytime I came into the hotel I would always say hello. But not a single response from him. Was the worst type of front desk staff you could have on there (I'm previous hospitality work). You are enjoying taking a shower. Then suddenly the water goes cold. Due to someone else running a tap somewhere? Housekeeping was basic. Just make your bed look neater,replaced towels. But did not replace your used coffee cups. I seriously regret leaving Prague for here. Outside the tourist hotspots. I find the majority of the city rather depressing,run down,full of graffiti & the majority of people have an awful rude attitude. This hotel made my Kraków opinion even worse. If you enjoy being kept awake constantly. Then stay here. But no. Sorry. Would never return here again.

Great location, about 15 minutes steady walk to the main square. Staff very friendly and professional. The room was spotlessly clean, great shower, and very comfy beds. There is Sir con but no remote control so I can only presume its centrally controlled or you have to ask for the remote. Normally I would be bothered about this because it was hot but we were only there for the marathon so knew we'd sleep regardless. Breakfast is also very nice. Only two minor things that I won't put as negatives because it's only my thoughts; no bacon at breakfast which I miss and also no toaster which I found strange, not that we wanted ione, it just seemed strange. All in all a fantastic, clean, value for money place to stay, with a great breakfast and staff.

Check in was super efficient, we arrived slightly earlier than check in time, but this was no problem as our rooms were ready. Apartment was spacious, very clean, plenty of storage. Nice sitting area and kitchen well equipped. Bathroom nice and clean, good shower. Breakfast traditional polish offerings, could have done with a toaster. Location really good. Overall great stay.

At noon after my first night, my room had not been made up. I worried about it with the person at reception who calls in front of me. At 5 p.m., the room still had not been made! The person at reception dared to tell me face to face that the rooms were never made after the first night… While my colleagues who were in the same hotel had their room cleaned after the first night. The staff was unreliable, not helpful and did not attempt to correct the problem or offer a correct solution. This disqualifies this hotel that is moreover not a 3-stars hotel.

Location bit away from main square but walking distance. Room was spacious and well apointed but few hicaps with quality of housekeeping. Personel was very polite and kind. I do reccomend this place… ok

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this great hotel. Clean comfortable bedroom, modern shower room. Breakfast included from 7 --- 10 a.m. 15 minutes walk to main square. Reception kept our bags safe for the day until our late flight home. Would recommend to friends who wish to stay in Krakow. Thank you.
