From the moment you step off the seaplane - you realise you have arrived for probably one of the best holidays ever! Sangu overwater villa was such a treat. we used the deck everyday- just listening to the water lapping at the decking - stunning sunset views, peaceful and lots of visits from fish sharks and rays. The service provided in Sangu is next to perfect. Dedicated waiter - ours was Shafleen - he was fabulous! you will never tire of having your meals facing the ocean. The food was always plentiful- and the tandoori hut each night was a dieters nightmare! The clay oven naan bread it to die for!! Always fresh chef cooked meat and fish - lamb chops - amazing. The sandbank is picture postcard perfect!! In my opinion Sangu location and pool restaurant and beach was the best on the island- you pay for what you get! will definitely return to the gem in the Maldives- spoke to many people who are repeat travellers to the island - that says it all really. Definitely do a few of the special (pay for) a l carte meals and a visit to 5.8 (expensive) but a unique dining experience for sure
