Ulasan Hotel Spax Kusatsu

The staff were very friendly and made us feel right at home. The room was clean and tidy, and it was convenient to walk to Yubatake. The view from the balcony was picturesque, and we could even capture night scenes and the sunrise.

This hotel is a bit far from the station and not very convenient to get to on foot. There are many inclines and declines, and with the melting snow, the ground was quite slippery and treacherous. It would be great if the hotel could offer a shuttle service. We stayed in a Japanese-style room for four people. Upon entering the lobby, a male and female reception staff member greeted us very warmly. However, my entire impression changed completely after the staff member came in to prepare the futons. He walked into our room with socks that had clearly been on the outside hallway floor, which already felt unhygienic. Then, he stepped on the futon sheets he was laying out with those same socks that had trodden on the outside floor – a wave of disgust washed over me. After all, that's where we were going to lie down and sleep that night. At that moment, I began to question the hotel's cleanliness. In the evening, after buying some things outside, I planned to enjoy them in the hotel lobby. However, the staff told me the lobby only stays open until 10 PM and they would turn off all the lights. Overall, I found the hotel's convenience to be quite poor. I probably won't choose to stay here again next time.

Though the hotel facilities are old, but they are well maintained. The hotel foods are nice, and their service is good too. Location of the hotel is about 10 to 15mins walk to Kusatsu town center. Conclusion about the stay - the hotel is definitely value for money.

The hotel staff were so attentive, I'd definitely want to stay here again.

All staffs are very good. I could feel they were hard working in order to provide their best service. Saha running around every-time when we needed assistance or some information but limited English from other staffs. Dinner and breakfast are not premium but worth for what we paid. Walking distance to everywhere in this little town.

After our stay at Nikko, Spax felt underwhelming. Truth be told, it is more due the location of kusatsu which is an onsen town. Spax was more a place to rest for the night and not much can be expected from it. The photos look way better than actual. Could be the hotel is in the process of renovation. Our room just happened to have more tape patching things up. Actually i don't think i have stayed in a hotel with tape holding things together. That said, the staff makes up for the lacking by their gentle manners, serving of tea and coffee at the lobby.

The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. I liked the hotel, the renovated room is very nice, good onsen. Dinner and breakfast in the dining room with a view of nature complemented the pleasant experience.

A Nice spa hotels with very nice food. Good recreational facilities.
