Hotel berhampiran Heian Palace: En-no-Matsubara (Banqueting Pine Grove) Site, Kyoto

We had a delightful stay at Hotel Pagong with M's in Kyoto. Although the room was compact, it was perfectly adequate for two guests. The service was consistently kind and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, with a convenient 15-minute walk to Nishiki Market and both a 7-Eleven and Family Mart less than a block away. We highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, friendly service, and prime location.

Nice and clean hotel, good location to browse the city. The staff are kind and friendly. The rooms are not big but family of 3 with one big piece of luggage can easily fit in. Japanese style room is very charming but you might need some time to adjust to a mattress firmness. The breakfast selection is rather limited and repetitive.

The location of hotel is in a walking distance from Kyoto Station. It is not close to the town 四條町. Every time when we go for shopping, we need to take a bus to the downtown. Easy access to anywhere by bus. The hotel staffs are very professional. The breakfast is highly recommended to book before departure. The hot spring, the room size, buffet breakfast, the service of reception are in a high standard. Highly recommended to the travelers who is planning to Kyoto. Interesting point: No shoes in this hotel. U need to lock your shoes in the locker before you walk in the hotel. They provided socks for you to wear.

Я в полнейшем восторге! Это японский бизнес отель. За 2 недели пребывания я всего 2 раза видела европейцев. Персонал очень вежливый, уборка, смена полотенец каждый день. Куча одноразовых штучек и даже пижамы. Чисто, отель для некурящих(что для меня, как астматика, солидный плюс). В этом же доме Лавсон 24 часа, рядом есть отличные идзакаи и собошные(стоя спиной к выходу из отеля нам чуть левее и прямо, а то я их не сразу нашла). Район тихий, до метро 3 минуты, до вокзала Киото и более крупной развязки - 10 минут, автобус до океанариума прямо под окнами останавливается. В отеле предусмотрены завтраки(на них не ходила, очень уж ранние) и ужины(можно выбрать, каждый день разные, до 9:00 заказ). Так же в отеле есть сэнто(!) и лаундраматы. Я просто 200% приеду сюда еще! 2 минуса лично для меня: 1. Ранние(очень) завтраки. 2. Ужасные подушки(но в Осаке было так же, может это региональная особенность)

朝食はたいへん良かったです。揚げ物は一切なく、味付けは優しいものばかり。お盆を使わないで仕切りのない普通のお皿に取るやり方はとてもスマートで良いです。私の泊まった日には祇園ボローニャの雅というお気に入りのパンまで有ってビックリ。オープンキッチンでのオムレツをわざわざ席まで届けるホスピタリティ 感心しました。 お部屋もキレイで機能的 ただ機能的過ぎて、連泊利用で一泊目に生物入れて出掛けると、冷蔵庫の電気も切れてダメになるのは気を付けましょう(これは私のうっかりですが) 総じて大満足、また利用させていただきます。

My partner and I thorougly enjoyed our stay at Biwako Hotel. All rooms face the beautiful Lake Biwako and the view was perfect. We even caught a snowfall on one of our mornings here. The staff was great and always friendly even when there was a slight language barrier. We tried their breakfast as well which was really good. Highly recommend renting their electric bikes and cycling around the lake during sunset. And also going for the Lake Biwako Cruise! The hotel onsen is wonderful as well, we will definitely be back

Came here with family during the Sakura season. It's easy to get to the onset hotel. After arriving at the Ogoto Onsen JR station, towards the south exit you will find a cell phone attached to a board with explanation how to use the phone to call one of the onsen hotels. After the call, their shuttle bus will then come and pick you up between 2pm to 6pm I think. The hotel staff in general are very welcoming. Our family scored a deal with their penthouse suite with private indoor and outdoor onsen. Four of us stayed in the suite and the price is only slightly more than four of us staying in 2 regular rooms. It also came with a beautiful fruit platter for you to enjoy. The suite is very spacious with 2 separate toilets. The bath area has 2 sinks, a shower stall as well as a japanese style bathing area connected to the 2 onsen baths (indoor one is a hinoki wood tub and the outdoor one is a stone one. The outdoor onsen does have a slight privacy issue as there are some residential buildings in a distance. While my mom was a bit too modest to use the outdoor one (which I am not and fully enjoyed it), she did take full advantage of the indoor private onsen. Of course the hotel also has a public onsen for the guests. In fact they have two. One in each towers. I used the one on the top floor in the morning and it was a bless seeing the sunrise while soaking in the hot onsen water. Our package also included both dinner and breakfast that were served at their private dining room. Both meals were done in kaiseki style. We were particularly impressed by their dinner. Not only was it cooked with high quality ingredients and with beautiful presentation, they did not skimp on the quantity as well. Often after eating dinner at other onsen hotel, I would not feel full and actually felt a bit hungry later at night, at Yumotokan the courses kept coming and I was completely stuffed at the end. In fact I did not finish the rice even though it was so yummy (cooked from scratch in front of us with a flamed mini-stove). All in all, a very satisfactory experience. I can recommend anyone who comes to Kyoto/Osaka and wants an excursion and experiences the traditional Japanese onsen.

リニューアル前に一度宿泊しましたが、その時はお世辞にもあまり綺麗なお部屋ではありませんでした。今回リニューアル後初めて宿泊しましたが、もはや別宿でした。お部屋も快適で、宇治川の眺望、部屋付き（半）露天風呂も広くて気持ちよかったです。またスタッフさんたちの対応も気持ちよかったですし、時間とお金ができたらまた行きたいです。 ただ3泊中夕食はすべて併設のステーキ懐石のお店だったのですが、最初の2泊まではシェフさんの対応もよく、お肉も柔らかく、大変気持ちよく食事できたのですが、最後の3泊目の夕食時に本来（貸し切り以外では）入店が禁止されている未就学児がおり、それがまたギャーギャーやかましいガキンコで全然ゆっくりできませんでした。どうやらお得意さんのご一家だったようなのですが、やはりその辺の線引きはちゃんとしてほしいと思いました。
