The Okura Okazaki Bettie is a beautifully designed modern hotel and was the perfect choice for our combined business/leisure visit to Kyoto. The location was reasonably close (short taxi ride) to excellent restaurants and sights in the culturally historic area east of the river. The guest room quality, cleanliness and comfort is excellent - finished to a high standard with large windows overlooking the garden below and temples beyond. Breakfast was served in the restaurant overlooking the hotel's own zen garden. The choice of either ”Kyoto”or ”American” breakfast was amazing, beautifully presented bento style, exceptionally fresh, plentiful and delicious. Indeed this was one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Finally the service level is exceptional. Both management and staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. Neither the most nor least expensive option in Kyoto - just simple great value. We look forward to returning next time.

This Ritz-Carlton location sitting on Kamogawa and Hagashiyama mountains, is one of the best locations to stay in Kyoto. The architecture is gorgeous on every level as you enter the hotel. You feel transported to a particular place that you will never forget. In addition, the quality of service the Ladies and Gentlemen provides goes above and beyond any other Ritz-Carlton location. Staying at the Kamogawa Executive Suite was an unforgettable experience. Approximately 1350 sq. ft., the suite provides luxury accommodations that exceed the highest expectations of any guest. The bathroom is gorgeous, especially the bathtub, where the wall and bathtub are decorated with sakura flowers. The bed is comfortable, and the living room is quite spacious. One thing I would have loved to see inside this room is a Genkan to place shoes as you enter the suite. Preserving the floor and rug is necessary and educates foreign guests about the importance of doing this. Another aspect that I loved about this place was Mizuki. Every morning I visited it for a Japanese-style breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. In addition, I went to one of their sushi demonstrations and felt that I had a lifetime supply of sushi. Every bite was delicious, and the chef went above and beyond to make every guest feel special. Please make reservations for kaiseki, tempura, teppanyaki, and of course, sushi during your stay in advance. The spa is also a must if you are staying in this location. It is one of my most relaxing experiences, and the facilities are excellent. As you enter the spa, all the details regarding the walk to the counter or attendant, the changing room, and the pool area are planned quite well, so the guest can feel extra special and disconnected from reality. Finally, I must recognize the Ladies and Gentlemen's hard work and dedication at the Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto. Thank Ana and Naoto, for your friendly welcome to the hotel and making things possible during my stay. Chef Tomohiro Goda and his team provided an experience I will never forget at Mizuki. Naoki was friendly and helpful as I researched information. Pablo and Thain were attentive to my needs as I left the hotel and provided a great experience as I checked out. Special thanks to Carlos for leading such a fantastic Ritz-Carlton property in Japan and consideration prior to my stay. This is one of the top Ritz-Carlton properties I have stayed in, out of 25 Ritz-Carlton. I will cherish all the memories that I gained from this place and will make sure to come back in the future.

父もKKRの組合員でしたので系列の宿泊施設をたびたび利用しました。かつては、全国にたくさんの宿泊施設があったのですが。。 その頃の、古き良き雰囲気を残している宿でした。過剰なサービスや大げさな装飾がなく、必要十分条件を充分に満たしている、そんな宿です。掃除も行き届いていました。 ２泊しましたが、場所がいいのでどこに行くにも便利でした。 夕食は１日だけ宿でいただきました。おいしかったけど....２食付きー朝食のみ＝夕食の費用。。を考えると、ちょっとどうかな...という感じがしました。ただ京都は予約が取りづらいし、ちょっと名のあるところは高い！ので、一泊だけなら大ありだと思います。 熱海のKKRから運ばれてきたという大浴場もありました。どうやって？トラックで？遠くからトラックで輸送さ荒れる食料は、二酸化炭素の排出量が大きいから、フードマイレージが大きい。。。温泉の場合、熱海から京都までトラック輸送なら、ホット・スプリング・マイレージ(造語、ですが...)が高いのでは？？ それが気になって、★をひとつ減らしました。

2017年9月訪問。 平安神宮北側の岡崎神社隣にあります。岡崎・黒谷界隈が旅の目的にしているなら、ちょうどよいし、バス停も近いし、スーパーもコンビニもあるし、便利です。 が、それ以外のエリアに行こうとしたら、ある程度土地勘があってバスも使えるか、車利用の人でないと、移動はなかなか大変になると思います。 ホテル自体はかなり年季が入っていますが、部屋を少しずつリニューアル工事しており内装は真新しいです。ちょっとチグハグな改修にも思えましたが、それも悪くない。懐かしさと新しさと両方が感じられてよし。 昔ながらの観光ホテルのゆったりした造り、大浴場完備で、居心地よいです。京都駅までの直通シャトルバスも何本か出しているので、スケジュールが合えば使えます。

京都御所のすぐ西側にある、5階建てのホテル。地下駐車場（料金千円）あり。荷物を駐車場から部屋まで運んでもらえたのが嬉しい。泊ったのは４階の部屋。ダブルなのでやや広め。WiFiは速度が速い。エアコンは集中制御で風量のみ調節可。窓側が三角形になっているのは珍しい。二人がけソファあり。加湿清浄機は使いやすいタイプ。バスルームはユニット式、やや古い。カードキーではなく、鍵そのもの。４階に自販機、アイスサーバー、電子レンジあり。コインランドリーはない。夕食・朝食付き　夕食は弁当、朝食は、和か洋のセットメニュー。南禅寺蒸しが京都らしい。味が薄いので醤油を少しかける。茶碗蒸しのように周りに玉子が入り、豆腐の上にあんがかかっている。ご飯のおかわり可能。チェックアウトは午後１時まで、ホテルでゆったりできるのがいい。

1人でふらっと休日に利用させてもらいました。京都の大学で4年間過ごしていた土地なので、土地勘がありこの立地はとても便利でした。ただ京都をあまり知らない人からすると河原町繁華街からちょっと遠く感じるかもしれません。わたしは、朝は歩いて進々堂のパン屋さんにモーニングをして河原町でぶらぶらしたりしました。ホテルのロビーもいい香りがしていい感じ。系列の大阪本町のホテルも利用しますが、ロビーや外観はここの方が好みです。大浴場がかなり気に入りました。静かで京都らしい雰囲気と広さに感動しました。お部屋からの眺望はゼロなので窓をあけて解放感とかは望めません。なので、お値段をもう少しおさえてもらえるといい感じかなと思いました。

Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und WLAN und TV haben gut funktioniert. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen und WCs sind auch sehr in Ordnung. In der Nähe gibt es einige Lokale fürs Mittag- bzw. Abendessen. Ein günstiger Parkplatz ist nur wenige Minuten von der Unterkunft entfernt.

今回2回目。 とにかく落ち着くし、清潔で便利なんです。オススメなのは、連泊だと思います。部屋にミニキッチンがあり、簡単な調理なら可能。調理器具や調味料なら、フロント横のキッチンで自由に借りられるので、こんな便利なホテルはありません。 食べ歩きして夕食がいらないって思っても、夜中に小腹が空けば。近くのスーパーで材料を買って、具だくさんスープとか出来ます。インスタントラーメンでは物足りない人にはぜひ。 受験生の宿にも良いと思います。和室で3人は宿泊出来るので、同伴の家族にも。 とても静かで明るく、思った以上に便利で快適でした。 窓から景色は一部しか見られないし、フロントに在中されていないのでポイントをさげていますが、それ以外は問題なしです。 困った時にも連絡すると、すぐにお返事も頂けました。オススメです。

親切なオーナーには本当に感謝しかありません。このホテルは過度なサービスが無いので泊まりやすく良かったです。最寄りの熊野若王子神社に用がありましたが、至近距離で実に便利なホテルでした。お風呂・キツチンは清潔で綺麗でした。ただ、テレビﾞが客室に無いので携帯ラジオを予め持参してたのも良かったです。徒歩数分でスーパー・フレスコ真向かいにダツクス浄土寺店　さらに数分でファミリーマート店と揃ってます。私は、朝夕二食分の弁当をフレスコで購入して連泊しました。京都左京区滞在には「便利」で「安く」「泊まりやすい」良いホテルですまた、泊まりたいと思っています。
