The Hotel got our booking wrong and was not helping us at all. To have the room we actually booked we had to pay up more at the check in. Fortunately the customer service of trip was so nice to help us out with this. The Tatami was way to small also.

Walkable distance from Kyoto station. The reception is a minute walk from the room but with clear guidance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is nice and clean but the stair up to the room is quite steep and narrow. Not convenient with big luggage, infants or elders. WiFi in the room is so weak. Breakfast is not able to be reserved on-site.

We choose to took a traditional room with tatamis and futon, and we weren’t disappointed ! The room was spacious, the futon really confortable. The communal spaces were clean and spacious too The only ”bad point” is the stairs, if you have a big luggage they can be really tricky.

Good for an affordable experience in an japanese ryokan.

Suitable for 1-2 people. The environment in the room is good. The poor sound insulation is understandable, but it is not in the downtown area and is very quiet on weekdays. It is only about 30 minutes' walk from Ninsanenzaka. You can walk there in the early morning to take pictures of the deserted scenery.

Very atmospheric room, we liked it. The reception is located nearby in another building, but they inform about it in advance. You can leave your things before check-in from 9. Very good staff, who informed us about everything.

Very quiet, quite retro, and hygienic. The only thing is that the faucet in the bathroom can be designed to be higher. I don't want to sit down to take a shower. Then put two hooks in the bathroom to put down clothes. Because it is a public bathroom, you can't put clothes on it. You can only tuck them in the door handle, which is not hygienic and inconvenient.

The space is enough for personal rest. There is a small TV, air conditioning and bathtub. The surrounding environment is quiet. The wooden structure is generally soundproof.
