Hotel Due Gemelli

It looks like it's been a while since the last review, which is a shame. The hotel must have had a massive revamp since some of the older reviews, as all the public spaces and the rooms were modern and clean. If you're looking for somewhere to sleep and have breakfast, this is the perfect place. My wife and I and our dog traveled from our home in Umbria to stay for a Friday and Saturday night. The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big enough with modern fittings and was also very clean. There is a well-proportioned balcony with one of the best sea views I've ever seen. There are several WiFi routers around the hotel, so you're never without a good signal. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful with advice. Breakfast (8 Euro pp) was great. No hot food but a wide choice, and the croissants were the best I've ever had - simply melted in your mouth. From a personal perspective, the only letdown is that being an early riser (5 to 6am), there is no way to get a coffee until breakfast at 7:30. And if you're one for late nights with a drink, then be aware that the bar shuts at 8pm. We got some snacks and beers and were perfectly happy sitting on our balcony and watching the boats on the water as the sun went down. Location-wise, it's not perfect, but it suited us fine. There is a shuttle bus (2.50 each way to Riomagiore) that runs fairly regularly, but be warned, it gets pretty crowded at times, sometimes to the point of people being unable to get on. I would have no hesitation in recommending Due Gremelli to anyone.

This hotel is in a perfect location visit Cinque Terre with a view that is amazing! With great and helpful staff to go along with it , you can get breakfast for an extra charge but it’s well worth it , it has private parking and it stands 100 meters from the bus stop to Riomaggiore . The rooms are spacious with upgrades done to the bathroom and most important they are very clean. It’s within walking distance to a very good restaurant ( IL Giardino da Nico) And one more time the view !!!

This is a nice hotel but a little way outside Riomaggiore. It was quiet while we were there, breakfast was limited and no restaurant in the evening. Room was big with a very large shared balcony with 2 other rooms overlooking the sea. Staff were very friendly.

Vista mozzafiato dalla terrazza della camera! Avevamo chiesto espressamente di alloggiare nelle camere ristrutturate: veramente belle e con vista sulla terrazza e sul mare. Data la bassa stagione la colazione è stata servita in un locale grande che è difficile da riscaldare, tuttavia era buona e varia. Posizione strategica per muoversi in macchina verso le 5 terre. Siamo anche partiti per una passeggiata a piedi fino al sentiero dei 1100 gradini di Monesteroli. Consigliato!!

Pessima esperienza. Ho soggiornato due notti, di cui la prima passata in una camera impregnata di fumo con aria irrespirabile. Il giorno dopo abbiamo chiesto di essere spostati, nella nuova camera è stato impossibile fare la doccia visto che usciva un filo d’acqua. In generale non c’è la minima attenzione o cura per il cliente. Ci è stato scalato dal conto il checkout posticipato per tentare di scusarsi per averci fatto dormire in una “ciminiera” tutta la notte. Non ci tornerei mai e non lo consiglierei. Peccato per la posizione, è ottima!

Eccellente. Accoglienza, cordialità e location strategica per visitare le cinque terre. Colazione assortita ed abbondante, camere paradisiache con terrazza vista mare. Bravi, bravi e ancora bravi!!!!! Consigliato ad occhi chiusi.
