Hotel berhampiran EZE NDIGBO PLAZA, Lagos

I had a great time at Ibis Hotel in Lagos. But my greatest disappointment was, my phone was stolen by one of the Ibis’ security guards. I resting at the pool side and I unfortunately slept off. When I got up, I couldn’t find my phone. Not knowing that a security guard on duty has stolen my iPhone 11. But we later retrieved the phone from him.

This hotel provides the ultimate comfort – it is neat, spotless, and exudes a luxurious feel. However, the management needs to address the issue of staff carelessness in handling paid bills. This is an important factor to consider when booking a stay. Unfortunately, my wife and I experienced this issue firsthand during our visit. We were charged twice for certain items, which caused us a great deal of discomfort and unnecessary stress. Despite this, we look forward to returning to the hotel on our next trip to Lagos, but we'll be adopting a ”pay as you go” approach to avoid further issues.

Tempat tidur baru adalah syurga. Pancuran sangat hebat dan bilik untuk dua bilik mempunyai peti keselamatan, peti sejuk mini dengan air percuma, cerek dengan teh / kopi. Atm di lobi akan mengambil debit visa USA untuk naira tempatan, mengeluarkan 10,000 pada satu masa. Biliknya agak ketat. Seandainya kami tinggal di sini dan bukannya di pangsapuri tempat tidur mereka seperti papan. Kakitangan sangat hormat dan profesional. POS tidak mengambil kad kredit, atau atm, walaupun pelanggan melakukan pembayaran. Tidak sabar untuk tinggal di sana lagi, lain kali di lagos.

Set in the city’s highbrow area of Ikeja, 3 miles from Murtala Muhammed International airport and ten minutes from the commercial district of Allen Avenue, is the luxury boutique CitiHeight Hotel. It is also in the vicinity of several global hotel brands including Ibis, Sheraton and Radisson Blu. Having booked our holiday straight after the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s July 19th announcement, my daughter and I took our first post COVID-19 international trip in search of some culturally relevant inspiration. Lagos was a great option as it is on the UK government’s amber list of countries and a destination where we could really get immersed in the culture. Our UK airport experience was hectic to say the least, and we arrived a day later than scheduled. Even the most-prepared traveller is advised to have two or three back-up plans in case of “incaseities”. I sent a quick email to the hotel, explaining the last minute change in plans and luckily for us, Banji, the hotel manager was very accommodating and sympathetic to our plight. Upon arrival, we were treated like VIP’s by the polite and friendly hotel staff who took our luggage and escorted us to our room on the 6th floor. Prior to our travel, we had made reservations through booking.com and in response to our welcome email, we made a special request for “a high floor with a birds eye view”. While our preference was peace and privacy, we anticipated endless trips down to the restaurant and bar. Our executive room was pretty much like the photos on the website. Palatial, lustrous and spacious, featuring a plush king size bed with bespoke bedside cabinets and an inviting lounge area. Alongside the usual amenities, there was the obligatory hand sanitizer, but I couldn’t help but notice the bold and intriguing artwork decorating the walls. What a fantastic way to showcase emerging as well as established artists. CitiHeight is a luxury boutique hotel, on par with international standards, and I would go as far as calling it an ‘art hotel’ considering the vast art collection and attention to visual aesthetics. The allure for me was the authentic art pieces dotted throughout the hotel. From the hotel entrance, to the lobby, restaurant, and on every floor. I saw choice object d’art pieces that fused local elements of traditional art within the luxury architecture, giving the hotel a sense of high-end opulence fused with contemporary cool. I began to envisage a ‘classic meets contemporary’ theme for a photo shoot. Tip: Take some Instagrammable shots around the hotel (Do not touch artwork). Pool Life: When it comes to ‘pool life’ at CitiHeight, just grab a sunbed and relax. Although the pool lacks an outside view, poolside was a popular hangout for my daughter and her friends. Since it had a private/secret garden feel that was ideal for swimming, sipping cocktails and soaking up the sun during the day. Took awhile to get checked in. The Porter took us up to a room that sank of cigarette smoke and ****. They had sprayed profuse amounts of air freshener in an attempt to mask the smell. It didn't work and both smells would either make you nauseous or give one a headache. I asked for another room...i wasn't happy when there wasn't one in my range available (admittedly it was vals weekend) as they tried to arm twist me to paying for an upgrade. I refused and asked for a refund. The pleasant manager calmed me down and asked me to hold on. I went to have a pleasant meal in their restaurant. Luckily they made up another room for us. It didn't smell as bad. But in a rush...they forgot our bottled water and extra towel. Twas a nuisance. Later we went to the pool for drinks...i was dissapointed with the cocktails and a horrible fried ice cream cake. Lastly next to us were a bunch of poorly unkempt boys...one was smoking a joint...explains lot of public places smelt of ****...it was a case of either I wasn't meant to stay here or those guys shouldn't be there smoking ****..the hotel TV system is a bit of a pain to operate...and fabric seats in the room was not good...you could see stains not unlike semen...very off putting....but the rooms were a really good size, Good acs and decent price for Victoria island.....i would stay there again...hopefully they would have stopped people from smoking **** there..

Returned 9 yrs later with our son and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised that the hotel property is still as good as we remembered from our first visit. The staff was attentive, the buffet breakfast and lunches did not disappoint, and as always the art showcased throughout the hotel was divine. This time around we used the pool and spa which were both excellent. If you want to have a hotel that provides a quiet, calm, respite from the Lagos swirl this place is it. You will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Swiss International The Vistana services are second to none. The Staff are the most friendly in all my hotel stay here in Nigeria. They are courteous and willing to help. The meals are tasteful. Moreso, the ambience and room comfort was so out of this world. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to my friends, family and regular travellers. Ideal location for getaway plans.
