Lovely hotel, pub and restaurant. Great friendly service. Beautiful building and garden. Very comfortable room and rain shower was just glorious! Food was generous and delicious including breakfast with a whole pot of coffee! Would love to visit again when up that way 😊

Fantastic late lunch today at the Fleece. Beautiful food, fantastic service. Two of our group had the steak baguette which looked as good as they say it tasted. Our little girl had the children's pizza and fries, she.loved it. Another in our party had the steak pie with garlic mash and veg. I had the Kings and Queens starter which was beautiful. A great afternoon, thank you.

My Mum and I went for lunch today. Mum had booked a table for two and informed them that she is a wheelchair user. The host, a lovely German bloke was friendly and obliging. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Tap water to drink and 2 spoons for pudding was not a problem. Recommended.

As frequent customers , we finally decided to treat ourselves and make use of the facilities and stay the evening…. Worth every penny!!! Excellent food, as always, along with fantastic customer service from every Team Member , made for a great decision to relax and put our feet up! Excellent rooms, really well finished, with little extras, nespresso and top end soaps!! VERY comfortable bed! Great breakfast !!! It’s worth going for the atmosphere and service alone, but staying the night, makes you appreciate such a well run establishment this is!!! Very lucky to have this 5 miles from home!!!

Very pleasant & welcoming place. Large comfortable room. Accommodation & food excellent. Staff couldn't have been nicer. highly recommended. Hope to be back. Lovely country location. Comfy bar with log fire & good ambience. also very handy for Lancaster!!

Looking for a stopover to break a trip to Scotland, the Fleece is really close to the M6. However this absolutely delightful hotel/ pub is surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The staff go out of their way to be friendly & helpful, it truly is dog friendly too. From the lovely garden there is a path to take the dog on a little walk. Excellent menu & meal too. The room was beautifully refurbished, the bed very comfortable, We definitely intend to come back & also explore the area too

We've intend visiting for quite a while and finally got organised. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, very nice ambience and a lovely lunch, very well presented. House beer (Fleece Blonde) was very quaffable too! Will definitely be paying many more visits.

Our second visit to the Fleece in a year, visiting our son at University. We booked a table for 6.30 on a Sunday evening and were seated in a room behind the bar, on our own. The pub didn’t seem overly busy but we had to wait 25 minutes for the waiter to come and take our food order. After that though, the food came relatively quickly and any additional items we asked for eg, sauces and drinks were pretty swift to arrive. The food was delicious but being on our own in the room with no music playing, meant that there wasn’t much atmosphere. It’s a shame but I don’t think we would return.

From the outside, The Fleece Inn looks everything that a country inn should. On entering, it did not disappoint. Check in was very smooth and friendly. The room was superb. Immaculately clean and the comfiest bed ever. Lovely products in the bathroom and a great selection of teas and coffees. Had a couple in the bar (sat by a roaring fire) before going to the restaurant for dinner. Great to see a country pub packed with regulars and visitors alike. Food and service again, first class. Great nights sleep even though we were at the front of the property. Fabulous breakfast; best omelette I’ve had in a long time! Can’t fault The Fleece Inn and will definitely go back should we be that way again.
