If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, Samskara & Samsara in Lansdowne is the place to be. I stayed in their Glamping room, which was a perfect blend of comfort and nature, offering beautiful views of both the garden and the mountains. The property itself is full of charm—spacious lawns, vibrant flowers, and an organic garden where you can pluck fresh, seasonal fruits. Evenings were magical with a bonfire and barbeque under the stars, and during the day, I enjoyed short walks in the surrounding pine forests and outdoor games on the property. What I loved most was the relaxed vibe—no rush, no noise, just nature and fresh air. Plus, they’re pet-friendly, which is a huge bonus. The bar on the premises, said to be the oldest in town, added a nostalgic touch. It’s a rare find for anyone seeking a quiet retreat in the mountains.

We had a memorable stay at samskara lansdowne. 3 families booked 2 family rooms and 1 tent room. Family rooms are on 1st floor and are very spacious having 2 double beds each and well furnished. Also have a spacious verandah in front with sofas and a mesmerising view of the mountains. The tent is basic as you expect having a back balcony facing the forest. In the day you cam enjoy some lazy time in the sunshine in front of the tent having a huge lawn area. Evenings are best enjoyed outdoors with bonfire music food and drinks. Pls note they serve only in house liquor. Service a bit delayed but the food is exceptional for the location. Staff are mostly polite and accommodating. Special thanks to our server Mr Sajan Rawat who always served us with a smile and took care of our food demands. Ms Rachna on the front desk greeted us well and provided us the best available tent. We also enjoyed a short trek at the backside forest with our children which is scenic and worth the sweat. The location is I feel the best in lansdowne just 5 km short of the cantonment. Roads and mostly good but narrow and scenic with Pine forests all around. One can easily miss the property entrance to as we did since it is at the corner of a turn and perched on top. They can add and improve their signages on the way for the benefit of tourists. Wifi was available in the resort but no or weak mobile signal for Airtel and Voda. Only Jio works here.They can improve upon their in house games and include TT Foosball swings for kids etc. since they have the space for all of it. Overall a satisfying and relaxing stay.

I recently stayed at Samskara & Samsara in Lansdowne, and it was such a refreshing experience. I stayed in their Glamping room, which had the perfect mix of comfort with garden and mountain views. The property is beautiful, with large lawns, an organic garden where you can pluck fresh fruits, and flowers blooming almost everywhere. They have great activities too—bonfires, barbeques, outdoor games, and even a short trek through the woods, which I loved. The place is pet-friendly, and the bar (apparently the oldest in town) serves chilled beer, which was a nice touch after a day of exploring. It’s peaceful, surrounded by pine forests, and you even spot some wildlife. The mix of comfort and nature here is something you don’t find often. Definitely worth visiting if you’re planning a trip to Lansdowne!

I had a 2 night stay with Samskara and below is my experience: 1. This property is on a good height in Lansdowne hence you will get great view from their 1st floor rooms, especially the sunsets. 2. I was in room#4 which is an executive room and it was very big and comfortable. There is a kitchen below this room… so the this a GO TO room in winters for sure. But can be problematic in summers. 3. The property is well maintained as they have lot of green area and gardening around it. 4. Staff is well behaved but don’t expect a 5 star level of behaviour. They are not trained ones. 5. They have live music on every Saturday ***** with bonfire which is amazing. 6. Also they serve barbecue starters on Weekends. Food was pretty good apart from the mushroom which was over spicy and not edible. 7. Overall the food was decent and they can also cook on request basis. E.G. they cooked mutton rogan josh in the dinner for which I requested in morning. 8. They have a beautiful open air sitting arrangement which is very comfortable in winter. Best part is there was no fear of monkeys. 9. Breakfast had limited menu but that is not a problem. Problem is the oil which is used in bit of excess in everything. 10. There is ample parking space. 11. There is nothing for kids to do. May be they can think to install some swing and slides so even the little ones can stay engaged. Overall I would recommend the property to everyone as this has a great location and ambience of a old style bungalow which is very comfortable.

I recently visited Samskara & Samsara resort with my family and my decision didn’t disappoint me . This resort nestled in the serene mountains & offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The resort is beautifully designed, blending rustic charm with modern amenities. We stayed in both Glamping as well as family room . Family room is spacious and elegantly furnished, featuring windows that provide stunning views of the surrounding hills. It also has big open space in front of room ( shared with another family room ) which is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. Glamping room is also great experience however in my view there is a scope of increasing light there especially in evening. There are plenty of activities to keep guests entertained. We played Carrom, badminton & cricket. They have good bar and restaurant as well which offers varieties of food and drink. The staff were friendly and very attentive, always willing to help with recommendations or any requests. Their hospitality truly enhanced my stay. Samskara & Samsara Resort can be a good choice for anyone looking to unwind in nature. The overall experience justifies the cost. I left feeling refreshed and eager to return.

I had a very disappointing and horrible experience at Samskara & Samsara. From the moment we arrived, things started going downhill. There was no electricity for most of our stay, which made the experience unbearable. The hotel was extremely dirty; cleanliness was clearly not a priority here. The management's attitude was shockingly unprofessional and rude. They were completely unhelpful and dismissive of our concerns. We were promised certain amenities and services during booking, but none of it was fulfilled. The itinerary shared was a total lie, and nothing was as per their commitments. We felt misled and cheated by the entire booking process. I strongly advise against staying at Samskara & Samsara. Save your money and avoid this place if you want a pleasant and hassle-free experience.
