We had the pleasure to eat at Belmont Cafe. It was an exceptional experience and the service was second to none. From the greeting upon entry to the quality of food and the attentiveness we received, the entire time was incredible. We had the four cheese pizza, fresh lumpia, Laing and other items. The food was beyond delicious and can’t wait to taste more dishes in the future. We want to give special recognition for Chef Ri, she checked on us to make sure we enjoyed the food, a rare thing and much appreciated. Special recognition as well to our server Michael, he went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and was one of the most attentive I have seen, he provided the highest quality of service and others in the future will have a hard time matching his skills. Thank you for all you did to make our dinner one we will not forget.

First off, I’ll start by saying rather pay a little extra and stay at the Belmont Hotel next door, which I’ll explain below. I stayed at the Belmont Hotel for 2 nights and 5 nights at Savoy Hotel. Had I had the choice of being able to refund at the Savoy, I would have done so. Let me start with the positives. The cleaning staff and staff alike at Savoy are absolutely fantastic - so kind, so respectful and friendly. The attitude of the staff should be commended! The service of the room was good. The front desk staff, some of them, may just let you stand and wait aimlessly. I initially booked the Superior Deluxe Room. I arrived at 12pm and check-in was at 3pm. I eventually got to my room and it was tiny. Plus there’s an adjoining door to the room next door where you can hear everything. I then noticed several dead cockroaches in the bathroom. I then went downstairs and changed rooms and paid for an upgrade for the Deluxe Premier Room which was bigger and no adjoining room. Note that at the Belmont the room was not an adjoining room and had good sound insulation. Upon entry to my now upgraded room, there were several live cockroaches in the bathroom and then some baby ones on the wall behind the sofa and on the bed! I immediately changed rooms again! This time the second room was better. It was a corner room with a view of the ocean at one side and the swimming pool at the other. Every day, the staff serviced the rooms really well, I must commend Savoy for this. However, Savoy really needs to purchase new bathroom towels which are yellowed, broken and tattered. The room is good at blocking out noise from outside, and the bed was relatively comfortable. You can’t, however, order breakfast from the restaurant unless you purchase the buffet. Makes no sense as you should give your guests a choice if they want the buffet or order breakfast from the hotels breakfast menu. Overall, the highlight of my stay was the incredible and friendly staff (servicing staff and security) who always, numerous times a day, greeted us warmly with a big smile. Keputusan impulsif pada hari itu mendorong kami untuk menempah Amuma Spa Suite Room di Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort. Semasa mendaftar masuk, kami diberi Bilik Premier yang jaraknya berjalan kaki ke pantai. Kami tidak keberatan dengan perubahan kerana harga bilik lebih banyak daripada yang kami pesan walaupun tidak 50sqm berbanding Spa Suite tetapi ia mempunyai tab mandi yang sangat besar dan ia berada di bangunan baru. Sarapan bufet disertakan yang tidak begitu luas tetapi sesuai untuk harga bilik dan citarasa sesuai untuk orang Filipina. Kami juga mencuba pizza mereka di Cafe Delfinos dan itu bagus. Yang tidak kami gemari ialah koktel yang hanya terasa seperti jus oren dan bukan Tequila Sunrise yang saya harapkan. Perkhidmatan kakitangan terpuji dalam melaksanakan protokol kesihatan semasa check-in tetapi ketika di kawasan pantai dan kolam renang, orang ramai (berhati-hati dengan terlalu banyak pengguna hari dan penyedia keahlian, tetamu di rumah adalah orang yang perlu menyesuaikan diri 😂) tidak mengikuti protokol dan hanya diperhatikan oleh keselamatan dan tidak dipanggil. Juga, yang memerlukan penambahbaikan adalah Spa Attendant kerana dia cenderung bertengkar dengan pelanggan (semasa sesi gim saya kerana saya meminta cawan kertas untuk air dan tisu sehingga saya dapat menghapus mesin yang saya gunakan tetapi dia sangat sombong dalam berkomunikasi) dan Atendan Perkhidmatan Pengemasan kerana mereka lupa memasukkan air percuma di bilik kami dan sudu teh untuk kopi / teh. Pantai juga tidak kondusif untuk berenang (hanya untuk berendam), cukup kotor dan mengharapkan orang luar menawarkan pulau untuk anda.

My wife, son, and I went there for my birthday. We wanted to try a new resort in Cebu. Wow were we overwhelmed and surprised. The Sheraton staff treated us with kindness and as if we had been there multiple times. Every single staff member greeted us. From the housekeeping to the guards at both entrances. They even took my son by the hand and kept him entertained while we were checking in. They gave him popcorn. I was also shocked at the one restaurant when they sang happy birthday and gave me a wonderfully delightful cake. It was so smooth and silky. The food was also perfect and tender. The sauce for the fries was very creamy and tasty. For the first time in the almost twelve years in Cebu, even having been to numerous Cebuano resorts including Shangri-la everything was 100 percent perfect. The wifi was strong and no lag, the food was perfect, parking perfect, staff were perfect, beach and pool were clean and perfect. We even go to feed the fish as well which the guard at the water activities area gave us. I mean it was all around perfect for the first time here in Cebu. At Breakfast they even gave me a thank you cake for staying there. I couldn't believe it. It really felt homey and that warm feeling. For the money we spent it was 100 percent worth it. Oh by the way the atmosphere was perfect too. No loud people on cellphones everywhere talking or taking selfies and the like.

We had a late and delayed flight but grateful the van (free airport shuttle) waited for us. The lobby was simple & check-in was easy. Before going up to our room, they asked us to get the amenities we need (dental kits, shaving kits & combs). We stayed at the Twin C Room, it has a big ref, kitchen sink, tv, microwave, dining table & chairs & 2 big beds. The bathroom was like the ones in Japan, compact & small. There were no cabinets too. The beds were comfortable to sleep on & the ac was working well. Breakfast was served in what was like a cafeteria hall, it was supposed to be plated but it was served buffet style, breakfast menu was simple. It changes everyday. Location of the hotel is superb & convenient because its connected to J Centre Mall and there were pharmacies, banks, convenience stores & a spa nearby. Happy to have our massage there. The hotel was also beside the Skywater theme park but unfortunately it was indefinitely closed. Checkout was easy too. They allowed us to leave our luggage because we have a late flight, we just came back for it. We weren’t able to avail of the free shuttle going back to the airport because we weren’t able to book a day before (it’s not automatic even if they have your flight information), good thing we have relatives to bring us to the airport. Overall, price was reasonable and we had a nice & comfortable stay here.

I stayed here twice in April & May 2023 and was consistently impressed with the staff & the property. The staff was very friendly, helpful, accommodating and very courteous. The deluxe room had a great view, was large, clean, modern and very comfortable all around. The buffet breakfast was excellent with good selection of Western and Pilipino dishes. And the table service was excellent—shout out to Ariel and staff for a very attentive service! I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality & selection of drink’s & pastries at the Cafe also punctuated by excellent service. The property has 3 great pools, a small private beach , picnic area & fitness center. For me the only service missing is the food room service but it’s a minor item for what I needed. The location is an about 30 min from Mactan airport in a secluded gated area. Getting here was through local neighborhood and inconvenient from other restaurants & services so you’re pretty much will be staying on the property unless you want to go out for a long drive. I paid 650 pesos for a Grab ride around noon time from IT park to Reef. I have been to many 5 star Western style resort hotels in US, Europe & Asia and Reef compares well especially if you can book a discounted room for less than $150 USD. Overall, I highly recommend the Reef Island Resort hotel and will return again when I’m in the area. Definitely a good value for the money and excellent staff.

I was looking for a hotel near the airport and near the grocery and restaurants during a recent trip to Cebu. My usual stay had a big price increase and since it was far from the airport, I tried looking for a new hotel. I used to stay at other hotels near Felicity and thought that the prices were a bit steep for hotels without pools. I chanced on them while browsing Google Maps and gave them a call. It's good that they had a vacancy and so I made my way from the client site to the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the bright lobby. The single room, though, had a weird layout with the sink just behind the door but not inside the bathroom. Still it was value for money because it had hot and cold water, a cool air conditioner, a refrigerator, a flat screen TV and clean sheets. Since it was just beside the highway, I expected to hear scooters darting across. Well, most of the noise came from fellow guests walking through the corridors after making bar crawls, I guess. Aside from that, the hotel is great value for money. I'm looking forward to staying with them in future trips.

This visit to Marco Polo truly saddened me. If you read some of my past reviews of this hotel I noted it was my favorite place to stay anywhere in the world. This was my first post Covid visit and I was shocked and disappointed. - Basic maintenance has not been completed. For example, there is a glass elevator that goes to Blu their rooftop restaurant. This elevator was out of order and when I asked why I was told “Covid.” Covid travel restrictions were lifted a long time ago and that’s no excuse. In a second example, we returned to our room after a long night and the key did not work. It turned out the battery in the electronic device on the door needed to be replaced and the front desk understand the issue immediately, so this must happen often. Good hotels replace these batteries on a schedule so the guests never suffer from dead batteries. - Service, which used to be outstanding?@, is now unacceptable. First, the English language skills of most employees we encountered were sub par. Second, the person who checked me in was being trained, so the check in process was very slow. Third, service at the poolside bar during lunch was slow, the waitstaff inattentive and they failed to include my banana shake on the bill so as we are leaving the grab us and give us a second bill to pay. Fourth, service at breakfast was terrible. I had to ask for black tea three times before I got it, seeking some out 3 times as no one ever came to check on us. When we arrived around 9 AM there was no bacon (later replenished with bacon that looked so bad I did not even try it, fatty and not crisp), there was 1 banana, which was never replenished, there were no juice glasses (later replenished). The food quality was adequate but not nearly up to pre-Covid standards. Overall the service was lacking. - I was also disappointed that the lobby lounge, which used to have live music every night now has piano music only and only 1 night per week I am told. - There was a cart of dirty linens in our hallway both days Some of these things are not expensive or hard to fix. It doesn’t cost a lot to have live music in the lounge nightly as there are lots of singers groups looking for opportunities. It doesn’t cost a lot to make sure you change door card batteries regularly Others are basic requirements if doing business. For example you don’t leave a glass elevator to one of the most expensive restaurants in Cebu out of order for month/years. I am purchasing a condo unit in Marco Polo residences and expected to regularly visit the hotel for meals/drinks, but if this is the quality and service we can expect, then I will not be utilizing their services.

The rooms impress with their cleanliness, featuring cozy beds and a delightful atmosphere. The hotel's four restaurants provide diverse dining options, although prices are on the higher side due to its secluded location. The majority of the staff is friendly and supportive. The complimentary shuttle service to the city center, operating twice a day, adds a convenient touch. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering a variety of choices. While the experience is satisfactory, it falls short of delivering a ”wow” factor compared to other hotels of the same rating we've visited before.

Plantation Bay is again my favorite hotel on Mactan. I was there August of 22, January of this year and just finished a stay in May. Here are some things to consider about Plantation Bay: - It’s the only large Filipino owned resort on Mactan and they must treat there staff incredibly well because everyone I spoke with has worked there 10+years - unlike other resorts they have a no tipping policy - The large salt water lagoons are beautiful and large enough that they never feel crowded - Plantation Bay offers a variety of food options for every taste - They have a wide variety of on site activities and offer multiple excursions outside the resort for reasonable prices To be fair there were a couple of things that could improve but those are minor - The beach towels need to be replaced. The bathroom towels are great but the beach towels were old and thin - During busy periods when you call bell service or guest relations the phone just rings with no answer. Overall though, this is the best place to stay on Mactan. Great service, unique activities, great staff, and some of the best swimming pools anywhere Here are some tips: - if you are not traveling with kids, the waters edge rooms are amazing. You can step from your deck directly into the lagoon - Consider the Route 66 Diner for breakfast. Good food and never crowded -A romantic dinner at Palermo’s is a great option on site - I paid the extra $50 to have a car drop us off and pick us up at our room and it was definitely worth it. You get checked in/out at your room saving time Highly recommend this great hotel
