The Reef Island Resort Mactan, Cebu

The room is beautiful amd well decorated, i just wish I’m located on a better view but still had an ocean view to enjoy the balcony. No bath robes, subject for request. Breakfast food are ok, I suggest they provide different types of milk (I’m lactose intolerant). There are several pools to enjoy and has direct access to the beach! The best part are the people, their service & smiles!

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and well kept with a balcony featuring a sea view. The provate beach is clean, although small it has a large swimming area. The restaurants have good food but the prices are a bit high and portions small. The breakfast is outstanding. The pool is nice.

Excellent place to stay at, excellent view, the ameneties were great and the beach is right below. Gym was fantastic and breakfast buffet was amazing! Overall an excellent seaside get away! The spa was so good with the massages by loila and lovely

The hotel room is nice and service is effective. Food is great. Compared with Tambuli Resort is much more better. Worth it! And the view of the room is fantastic. I enjoyed the days in the Reef.

Huge resort with a spectacular private beach and pool. Staff are friendly and helpful with a pleasant greeting at all times. Just feel that the location is a little far away and there are any convenience stores close by. Only allowed 2 bottles of water per day per stay and if you exceed the amount then you have to pay a extra for water consumption. Other than that good hotel.

It is amazing! Great view and sea, serene and big private beach, perfectly clear waters! Comfy and nice resort rooms! Wear appropriate footwear into the sea!

The team at The Reef were always friendly and helpful. Anytime I asked for something, it was almost always delivered immediately. Thank you, team. The resort was beautiful, especially the pool and the gym looked great however I didn’t use it. The room I stayed in was spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The WiFi in the room however wasn’t the strongest so there was no watching Netflix in the room. Just as well I had shows downloaded on my iPad. The proximity to the beach was great, a few steps down and you’re practically in the water with access to water activities such as kayaking, jet skis and parasailing among the few which made it convenient when you didn’t want to leave the resort. The breakfast buffet had a good range with a beautiful view. Would like to see an espresso machine given they’re available in the cafe. The improvement areas for me: 1. There were a lot of housekeeping and maintenance staff around all the time. At times, getting a lift to the top level in the second building (I think 18), it would stop upwards of 4-5 times, but when the lift stopped, the staff wouldn’t get in, so it made it pointless. 2. Appreciate this wouldn’t apply to most, but being a smoker and staying in the second building and there only being one designated smoking area on the other end of where my room was, which also sadly felt like a back of a car park when I was still in the resort was inconvenient. 3. There was only one restaurant in the resort. Whilst breakfast was fine, the a la cart menu felt limited and quite expensive for what you got. 4. There is no room service. Inconvenient because I was unwell during my stay. The other suggestion is that this should be briefed in upon checking in
