We were staying at Premier Inn Uckfield for the week but unfortunately due to a planned power cut we were transferred for the night to Premier Inn Lewes which was only a 15min drive away. It is located in the heart of Lewes and makes for the perfect spot in such a idyllic market town, if you did want to venture further afield both Brighton & Eastbourne are just a 20/30min drive away. There is free parking available opposite the hotel from 5pm - 8am and then only a max 2hr stay throughout the day but other car parks nearby are available. Premier Inn Lewes is such an iconic looking hotel with rooms overlooking the nearby mountains and town centre, it is very clean & tidy with staff being really friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay one to remember. I couldn't believe the size of our room which was located in the corner of the hotel, plenty of room for the whole family. We did stop in the evening for a drink in the bar which is quite pricey and with limited shops in the area it would be advised to stock up before coming. The hotel has a Thyme restaurant which serves both breakfast and evening meals, luckily we were offered breakfast complimentary due to transferring hotels because of the power cut. Breakfast was delicious and definitely set us up for our day of exploring the area, I have to say a big shoutout to Katie at breakfast, she is so bubbly and made our morning with how kind she was, definitely a valued member of staff! Lewes can sometimes be pricey with rooms reaching over £120 a night... so definitely advise booking in advance if you can, Premier Inn seems to be charging over the odds currently!
