The location is quite close to the ancient city gate, making it very convenient for taxis and shopping. The owner is very enthusiastic and recommends great food and attractions every day. If you don't want to bother with planning, this is the place to stay; the owner/manager will sort everything out for you perfectly.

We chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. Its classic architectural style with an antique charm is truly captivating. The facilities are excellent, featuring 24-hour hot water and smart toilets. Both the courtyard and the rooms were impeccably clean. The staff were warm and incredibly attentive. The owner was exceptionally helpful, providing abundant local food recommendations and travel information, which significantly saved us time and prevented unnecessary expenses during our trip. The guesthouse is just a few minutes' walk from the transport links, allowing us to soak in the ancient town's atmosphere while also providing convenient access for getting around. My whole family thought it was excellent. The stone pot wild mushroom restaurant right outside the guesthouse was also incredibly delicious; my family even concluded it was the best meal we had in Lijiang. The owner, a fellow native of Hunan, was incredibly helpful, answering all sorts of questions we had during our trip and truly living up to my expectations for specifically choosing a guesthouse run by a fellow native. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance was wonderful! We even managed to pick some rainy-season mushrooms and explore Tiger Leaping Gorge. All in all, a truly enjoyable trip!

Facilities: The room was great, equipped with air conditioning and a smart toilet. The shower had incredibly hot water, which was a huge comfort after we got caught in the rain.
Hygiene: It was spotlessly clean. I had even brought disposable bedding but didn't need to use it at all.
Environment: The guesthouse's ambiance was beautiful, truly living up to its name.
Service: The service was excellent. The young man who helped us with our luggage was very friendly and enthusiastic, and he gave us great recommendations for local food and activities.

We booked two rooms today and unexpectedly found the most delightful guesthouse. It boasts a balcony, perfect for enjoying tea. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the rooms were very quiet. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, even recommending the Lijiang Naxi Restaurant. What truly stood out was that their guesthouse is a traditional old house, which made the stay even more special.

This hotel is beyond imagination. Helpful staff, friendly receptionist. A lot of complimentary. The room we got was amazing with wonderful garden. The environment is so pleasing, especially nice for couples or those seeking for ancient vibes. Really recommend staying here.

For our family trip to Yunnan, we noticed Lijiang's hotel scene has expanded so much in the last decade. After careful selection, we booked this hotel because of its proximity to the South Gate. The North Gate, with its famous Big Waterwheel, is simply too bustling for a relaxing stay, whereas the South Gate is much less crowded, making it convenient for both heading out and coming back. Plus, it's very close to popular eateries like Jiuge, Pigsty Cafe Mantou, Zhazha, and Sakura Restaurant. The setting is simply perfect, with the Yuhe River running right behind it – a popular photo op for travelers.
The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, which was a pleasant surprise; we ended up having tea and a lovely chat for a whole morning after we arrived.
Cleanliness was also top-notch; we could keep the balcony doors and windows of our suite open without a single mosquito, which was wonderfully comfortable.
They even recommended an itinerary: Mu Mansion, Zhongyi Night Market, Sakura Restaurant, the Big Waterwheel, Bridge Archway, and the Bar Street, followed by a relaxing return to the hotel. It covers all the dining, entertainment, and sightseeing – simply perfect! Highly recommend for families.

Facilities: Air conditioning was crucial, as Lijiang gets very hot at noon.
Cleanliness: We first booked a mahjong suite, then two loft rooms. Both had tatami mats, and we didn't encounter any bugs. The overall hygiene was excellent.
Ambiance: The hotel is located inside the ancient town. The scenery outside is beautiful, perfect for a casual stroll anytime. Inside, the architecture is ancient and charming, full of character, and great for photos.
Service: This aspect truly deserves special praise. There was someone to help us with our luggage to the entrance gate. The hotel's airport transfer service was impeccably arranged. The entire service was warm, enthusiastic, and thoughtful.
I had originally planned to try a different hotel for our return trip, but this hotel was so good that I specifically booked a room here again for the way back (we switched to a different room type for a new experience).

The atmosphere had a charming, rustic feel, and I especially loved the terrace. The location, the two-bedroom setup, and the terrace all perfectly suited my needs. I imagine it offers even better value for money on weekdays. It was my first time staying in an ancient town, and I felt it was definitely worth it. The location was also very convenient, being quite close to the bar street.
The only downsides were that the bathroom lacked proper ventilation, and the exhaust fan wasn't very effective. One of the rooms faced a corridor, so we couldn't open the window for safety reasons. Better ventilation for that room would have been a great improvement.

We traveled to Lijiang with our children, and the owner generously upgraded our room free of charge. They even went the extra mile to add an additional bed for the kids, which we truly appreciated. The hotel's ambiance was wonderful, and the service was superb, truly making us feel at home. They also gave us excellent recommendations for local restaurants. The night before our visit to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the owner provided a detailed explanation of all the necessary precautions and tips, and even supplied us with oxygen and water for the trip. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and trip.

After my trip to Yunnan, I took some time to rest and reflect. Now, I can finally write a review for each place I stayed. My stop in Lijiang was an absolute must!
The hotel is located in the Mu Mansion area, within the Old Town. It's easily accessible, which was a huge relief, as dragging luggage to guesthouses deep within the winding alleys can be quite a nightmare. This makes it an excellent choice for its location.
Late at night, the owner's sister personally came to pick us up and helped us pull our luggage to the hotel using a trolley. While we were still a bit disoriented, she gave us a lot of sound advice. The owner also treated us to tea. It was particularly thoughtful when she brought me water during my severe cold. Although she's from Hunan, her warmth and enthusiasm were just like that of a Yunnan local, making us feel completely at ease. Her advice proved incredibly helpful throughout the rest of our trip.
Their service was exceptionally warm and enthusiastic; they helped us sort out our room arrangements and were very accommodating with our needs. Even though the hotel was bustling with guests, the soundproofing was excellent, and it was wonderfully quiet at night.
Just before we left, they even booked a complimentary airport transfer service for us! This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise that put a perfect end to our Yunnan trip.
