Orana House

This is the place to stay when in Hobart. Nina is the very best host. She’s amazing! There is so much attention to detail in this accommodation. Guests are truly looked after. And the house and gardens are traditional and well maintained. It’s like taking a step back in time.

Absolutely beautiful house, Nina is amazing, nothing is too much trouble for her. She provides a fabulous breakfast including homemade bread, scones and more. The house was spotless, gardens were well looked after. There is nothing to dislike about this beautiful environment. I’ll be staying again and couldn’t rate this accommodation highly enough.

Amazing home! Spotless. Spacious and very comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast. And Nina takes hosting to a new level. Absolutely faultless. Will definitely return. A great privilege to stay in this home as Nina described the BMW view - bridge, mountain, water! So true

Nina is amazing and her touch of detail on every corner cannot be spoken enough about. I can not imagine a better person to manage this historical house. Beautifully clean and organized. Amazing freshly baked rolls too!

A great look for a bit of history, built in 1909. Formerly owned by a son’s British convict John Pearce. I took my daughter here for 2 nights stay to experience a more than century old Heritage hotel at Hobart, Tasmania! Pauline, the owner was so hospitable and really lived up to what “Orana” means in Aboriginal word, means “Welcome!” - and we were welcomed, the Tasmanian, Australian way!

We stayed here for 1 night after our tour of Tasmania. I wished we had booked here for longer!! We were greeted by the lovely owner Pauline. She gave us a tour of the house and a welcome pack with the history of the house and things to do around the area. Pauline also gave us some ideas of things to do and where to eat locally. The house itself is a beautiful heritage house and has been decorated in keeping with that in mind. It was like stepping back in time, it was so nice to see that it has been kept authentic. Breakfast is included with options of cereal, yoghurt, toast and a selection of yummy treats cooked by Pauline. There is an option to upgrade and pay for a cooked breakfast, pancakes or eggs. This was cooked by Nina who cooks a great breakfast. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very clean with a lovely comfy bed. There was a tv/dvd player, tea/ coffee making facilities and toiletries. Our room had a view of the beautiful gardens and Mt William. It was nice to sit outside and have a cup of tea and enjoy the view. We would highly recommend staying here. Pauline and Nina make you feel so welcome. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
