The more I speak to my friends about my recent experience at this property the more I realise I have been utterly ****** in and ripped off. Like the title says.... Please research this accommodation properly. I am trying to think of a time i had met such unfriendly uncooperative service at an accommodation I had booked online. I am quite dumbfounded by what we were greeted with quite late at night, tiered and with children in tow. I am sure these people have broken a contract with me and in not offering the service, that I paid £500 for, have in turn stolen from me and therefore have broken the law. But how do you go about taking people like this to court? Let me explain... I have used ********** as a booking agent for years. It's always been easy. On arrival to any accommodation, I offer my name and card, for security, and then friendly staff offer a key to your room, just like that, right? Now, I admit, on the small print from **********, for this particular accommodation, it said - you 'may' need photo I.D. I didn't take much notice of this because 'may' means to me - if a premises was unsure of who you are for whatever reason, 'may' want some kind of extra proof. So, what was my proof you ask? First of all, there was my booking reference through **********, which is generally enough but I also had a train pass photo I.D. + my credit cards + our Covid passports + N.I. numbers + Facebook page I D. However, with all this and still the 'little' chappie behind his desk wouldn't let us stay because he said we 'had' to have government photo I.D. I would like to add here that we don't refer to 'little' as in small of stature, because this insinuates, I have a problem with smaller people, not at all. In fact, I mean to insinuate that he has a very 'little' minded brain, due to his thinking nothing of keeping my money whilst throwing us out on the street at 11 pm with two children. What kind of accommodation provider, with all that ID offered, would have such a mean heart as to do that? And I reiterate it did not say HAD to have, but MAY need. My partner started swearing at the Bully behind the counter, out of severe frustration that such nastiness can come out of any human being, to have such a pungent nature as to be able to treat any person, let alone a child, with such an abhorrent uncaring manor. He threatened to call the police and now I wish we had stayed so he would - surely the police would have taken our side, this cold-hearted bully was in the process of steeling my money after all. It really is the true meaning of daylight robbery. We have all struggled so much haven't we, for two years! We personally haven't been able to have a family holiday since this mess started and just our luck, we bump into the real life Mr Scrooge a month before Christmas..
