We got a room no. 8 at level 3. No elevator only stairs. But room is okay

Wasn’t told to go to a separate location to check in, card machine was broken so had to go withdraw for deposit, the owner flirted with my partner for her number saying he owns the building, receptionists where very nice people, room was very dirty and smelt bad with stains on floor, walls and table. Bed was clean luckily. It was a last minute booking but the pictures where nothing like the room. It’s not far off being a nice place, just needs a little more focus on customer experience. The receptionists where very nice people.

We had a booking for 4 nights in June but cancelled last minute due to bad reviews and the hotel keeping £200 deposits !!. Hotel needs to address issues if it wants people to stay . How can guests feel comfortable booking when guests keep complaining about the same problems ??

The more I speak to my friends about my recent experience at this property the more I realise I have been utterly ****** in and ripped off. Like the title says.... Please research this accommodation properly. I am trying to think of a time i had met such unfriendly uncooperative service at an accommodation I had booked online. I am quite dumbfounded by what we were greeted with quite late at night, tiered and with children in tow. I am sure these people have broken a contract with me and in not offering the service, that I paid £500 for, have in turn stolen from me and therefore have broken the law. But how do you go about taking people like this to court? Let me explain... I have used ********** as a booking agent for years. It's always been easy. On arrival to any accommodation, I offer my name and card, for security, and then friendly staff offer a key to your room, just like that, right? Now, I admit, on the small print from **********, for this particular accommodation, it said - you 'may' need photo I.D. I didn't take much notice of this because 'may' means to me - if a premises was unsure of who you are for whatever reason, 'may' want some kind of extra proof. So, what was my proof you ask? First of all, there was my booking reference through **********, which is generally enough but I also had a train pass photo I.D. + my credit cards + our Covid passports + N.I. numbers + Facebook page I D. However, with all this and still the 'little' chappie behind his desk wouldn't let us stay because he said we 'had' to have government photo I.D. I would like to add here that we don't refer to 'little' as in small of stature, because this insinuates, I have a problem with smaller people, not at all. In fact, I mean to insinuate that he has a very 'little' minded brain, due to his thinking nothing of keeping my money whilst throwing us out on the street at 11 pm with two children. What kind of accommodation provider, with all that ID offered, would have such a mean heart as to do that? And I reiterate it did not say HAD to have, but MAY need. My partner started swearing at the Bully behind the counter, out of severe frustration that such nastiness can come out of any human being, to have such a pungent nature as to be able to treat any person, let alone a child, with such an abhorrent uncaring manor. He threatened to call the police and now I wish we had stayed so he would - surely the police would have taken our side, this cold-hearted bully was in the process of steeling my money after all. It really is the true meaning of daylight robbery. We have all struggled so much haven't we, for two years! We personally haven't been able to have a family holiday since this mess started and just our luck, we bump into the real life Mr Scrooge a month before Christmas.. El personal de recepción que nos atendió fue muy amable, te cobran una fianza de 200 libras a tu tarjeta. Cuando llegamos a la habitación vimos que el suelo del baño estaba roto y sucio, éramos tres y la segunda cama era un sofá cama, no había opción de cama normal. La cocina también bastante sucia, no cocinaría ahí. Solicitamos cambio a otra habitación, ésta tampoco era mucho mejor pero estaba más limpia, hace mucho frio en la habitación porque las ventanas están mal selladas, hay una especie de calentador que no calienta nada.Tenia una mesa pequeña con dos sillas, el menaje muy escaso, no productos de limpieza. El agua de la ducha sale bastante fría. Se escuchan todos los ruidos y de noche a veces hay ruidos raros, no me pareció muy seguro. Lo único bueno es la ubicación, está al lado de las paradas de bayswater y de queensway, hay varios supermercados y restaurantes. No lo recomendaría, muy caro para lo que se ofrece, no se parece a las fotos. No entiendo porque cobran una fianza de 200 libras si tiene muchas cosas rotas y sucias.

Lo único bueno es la ubicación. Se encuentra cerca de la estación de metro Bayswater y de la estación Queensway. Muy cerca de muchos restautantes y mercados. Lo malo es que la habitación no era como se muestra en las fotos. Me toco la habitación 18. Paredes manchadas de humedad, camas incomodas y la ropa de cama tenía muy feo olor. En la habitación había insectos… no nos gusto.

Appartement idéalement situé mais entretient à revoir. Mal nettoyé, avec des petits insectes qui se baladent aléatoirement dans la salle de bain. Il mériterait seulement un bon coup de propre et un petit retapage et il serait parfait selon nous.

Deux étoiles seulement pour l’emplacement par rapport au métro et épiceries. Ainsi que la cuisinette. Vue de la chambre sur la cour arrière aucunement entretenue et avec des travaux et échafaudages. Chambre a SÉRIEUSEMENT besoin de rénovation. Fenêtre de la chambre qui ne se barrent pas, alors les échafaudages donne directement sur notre fenêtre et n’importe qui peut entrer sans problème. Lits extrêmement durs, ressorts du matelas qui sortent sur les côtés. Aucun ménage de la chambre durant le séjour. Avons dû se battre pour avoir des oreillers supplémentaires ou encore des rouleaux de papiers de toilette et des sacs poubelles. Avons dû changer les poubelles nous mêmes et les sortir a l’extérieur car personne ne les a ramasser. Réception de l’hôtel a une adresse, mais votre chambre est quelque bâtisses plus loins avec aucun accès intérieur. Donc quand vous appelez a la réception pour obtenir des fournitures, vous devez allez les chercher cous mêmes. Buanderie sales, ça ne donne pas le gout de nettoyer ses vêtements là. En plus une sécheuse et un laveuse de fonctionnelles. Personnel peut accueillant, nous avons toujours l’impression de les déranger. Bref, séjour peu agréable en général….. payer un peu plus pour avoir une meilleure qualité, car oui c’est pas cher, mais dans des conditions exécrables
