Hotel Reveron Plaza

Our experience of 12 nights, was a bit mixed : at this time (November 2024), a major renovation was underway. With some inconveniences. Among others, no air conditioning available (the hotel provided us with a mobile fan, but it made too much noise to sleep with). The swimming pool, at the top, was already very nicely renovated but freezing cold because it was not heated. The renovated rooms are decent (although not soundproof (a problem, since a lot of street noise)). Breakfast is a combination of a simple buffet with a well-appreciated and free à la carte option. But our pleasant stay was mostly made by the service of the staff, which was truly outstanding. Both by the staff at reception, and by the staff at breakfast, and by the maintenance staff, etc. They lifted the stay ! So thanks and congratulations !

We have stayed at the Reveron several times before and enjoyed it each time. It has been closed for refurbishment and the changes are amazing. The rooms have been updated and now have walk in showers and the bathrooms and rooms have been refurbished to an excellent standard. The pool has also been updated and is great. There were a few things that I am sure were due to only reopening recently but just to mention from a help point of view rather than complaint: The air conditioning was not working the whole time of our stay which was difficult especially at night; the pillows that are now on the beds are the most uncomfortable I have slept on. They have no substance or support; the dining room no longer displays much fresh fruit as they used to eg: no melon slices orange slices, no kiwi, or pineapple slices. Something I have previously loved at breakfast. However, the menu is more varied and very nice. Sadly I was unable to recharge a mobility scooter as the lower floor and garage were still under refurbishment which was a bit difficult. Despite these niggles , and that is all they are we were given as much help as we requested at all times to ensure our stay was a good one. The staff were as friendly and helpful as ever and it is lovely to see the same faces as well as new ones during our stay. We hope to return again next year and I’m sure the work will continue to improve the hotel facilities that are not quite there yet. Thank you for a good stay and all your hard work.

Paid extra for the larger bedroom with a big balcony. Hotel was very dated and has apparently been sold and is closing for refurbishment. The room upgrade was ok, nothing special. The balcony area was the reason I’d upgraded. The balcony was large with sun beds and furniture. Not very aesthetically pleasing as it was old and dated. The problem was the nesting pigeons which were all over the balcony. There was pigeon poo on the furniture, the floor, the windows and on my beach towel that was drying outside. I narrowly avoided being pooed on. As a result, the balcony was not a pleasant experience and was a waste of money as I was put off using it. I complained to the hotel but nothing was done and apparently my complaint wasn’t passed to management. Sat around the pool at about 3pm day 2. Phoned down to reception for a bar drink. I was told the bar was closed. Signage and website said the bar closes at 6.30 pm. Well, that’s not true, they close it at 3pm. This was really inconvenient because I couldn’t enjoy the last of the sun around the pool with a drink. Had to get dressed and go out. Not what you expect in a 4 star hotel. The hotel was covered in unsightly rope and netting which was either to deter the pigeon infestation or in preparation for closing down. Jet2 weren’t interested in my complaint and said no other customers were unhappy. The other customers hadn’t paid extra for a lovely big balcony and received a balcony full of pigeon poo Staff were very nice and the breakfasts were lovely.

This hotel is one of my all time favourite’s to stay at. I feel like I’m at home, the staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. It’s just the right size.I love the art deco feel of the hotel and always like a browse of the books left behind by other travellers. The views over the church are fantastic. It’s central and in walking distance to all the best restaurants and the beach. Well worth a visit.

Perfect location. Lovely staff. Love to return after the refurbishment. Nice quiet pool & roof terrace overlooking the bay. Waiter service if required. Only downside was our room directly below the kitchen which opened at 6am. But we just had a daily siesta

The hotel is beautiful and feels like there's a lot of history to it. The room was clean and we both loved the charm, and the location, close to both the pier for the ferries and the beach. We both loved the hotel, but I must highlight your concierge Rodolfo. When we were checking out my wife had left her purse with our passports in the bathroom of the reception level. My wife and I had to catch a ferry to La Palma in 30 minutes when she realized where it was. By then we were at the pier. She called the front desk while I ran back to the hotel and Rodolfo picked up. My wife was of course nervous because of everything in her purse aside from our passports. Rodolfo kept her calm and on the line, and immediately got my wife's purse and put it in the locked box in the reception. He had also been keeping an eye on the lobby so he knew that no one else had used that bathroom since my wife had used it. He also helped to calm her down. When I arrived running back he immediately gave me her purse and reassured us that everything was ok. Indeed it was and I was able to run back and catch the ferry on time. The staff at this hotel is amazing and definitely its best asset, and Rodolfo is at the top. Gracias Rodolfo! Hasta la proxima!
