I can not fault this beautiful boutique hotel, the staff are incredible, the food is amazing and the interior design warm and homely with a dash of elegance. The team are so helpful and will arrange the countless activities that can be found on the doorstep of the hotel including a rib to the se the needles around the Isle of White to foraging the new forest. The beds are super comfy with the most softest pillows, each room individually styled with amazing showers and stan alone baths. Can't wait to return.

Stanwell House Hotel is the absolute epitome of a Boutique Hotel. Perfect location in the heart of Lymington High Street. Fabulous decor , interior design, furniture and furnishings , great attention to detail and of a very high standard . The most comfortable bed, duvet and pillows, like sleeping on a cloud. Service was second to none, high standard of cleanliness . Excellent Breakfasts and Restaurant Food Cosy Bar. Car Parking available nearby. Very highly recommended, will definitely return in the future, our go to place to stay when visiting The New Forest

Congratulations to Stanwell House on their first Wine Dinner since the hotel’s refurbishment. It was wonderful evening of quality food/service and expert advice from Gusbourne Wine Ambassador Steve Kirkham. The fish course felt like it would test my boundaries! My only previous experience of cockles has been of an intense vinegar and gritty morsels served in a paper cup at the beach. However, The Turbot, squid ink linguine and cockle cream dish was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to seeing which wine is featured next.

We came for 3 nights and loved everything: fab decor, friendly but professional staff, great room, perfect location. Food all locally sourced and high quality, delicious produce. Beautifully and recently renovated, no expensive spared. Breakfast up there with the best. Menu good, only small thing would be to have 3 starters with Sunday lunch as little on the daily menu offers small starters. Small thing. Loved our stay and considering we came for a rest from a tough time and family loss, this hotel has made us feel so relaxed, welcome and valued customers. Will be back.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Beautiful Accommodation, great food and friendly attentive staff. The hotel makes good use of its various spaces with a formal but relaxed restaurant, a casual dog friendly dining space, bar and a garden that is perfect for any occasion.

We live in Lymington and use the Salt Bar at the Stanwell House Hotel every week. In a town with many pubs this hotel ‘bar’ is worth a visit. The staff are friendly and the drinks menu extensive. My husband is a Guinness drinker and says this is one of the best pints in town. The cocktail menu is interesting and prices are comparable to other places in the town. If you are visiting Lymington try this bar. If the sun is shining there is a huge south facing garden which has its own bar in the summer. The bar gets busy at the weekend reflecting how popular this hotel is.

We simply popped in for a cocktail on a Saturday evening We waited 10 minutes to be served, a further 20 minutes before reminding the bar staff that we were awaiting our drinks. It was busy and I know things can be tough, but when still no drink 10 minutes later we decided to give up. I went and told the bar staff that we had to cancel our order, and whilst there was an apology this was accompanied by excuses, excuses, excuses and a comment about how this wasn't a pub. Staff looked tired, disengaged and fed up. Should they train the staff better? Maybe. Should they look at staffing levels? Maybe. Should the management and leadership look at how they are supporting their staff during what was clearly a very busy time? Definitely.

The hotel is situated on the main high street in Lymington, so very central for all local amenities . We stayed in room 12, a garden room, which was clean and nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable and a great shower that was actually hot. All staff were friendly and polite, cocktail bar to die for. Smooth check in and our bags were put in the room, as we arrived early

We had a fantastic family lunch in The Orangery. Beautiful setting and wonderful food. The service provided by all the staff was excellent, especially from our waitress, Bethan. The dining experience was all the better for Bethan’s caring nature and sparkling personality. Nice garden area too!! We look forward to returning again soon.
