I really love staying here for the excellent location and abundant space in the room. It’s very comfortable.

The location is near to many amenities nearby. Walking distance to many restaurants.

Impeccably clean, beautifully appointed, gracious and attentive service. Very affordable, about $150 a night with breakfast. Location, location, location. Middle of Old Madrid, surrounded by pedestrian only streets, easy walk to Prado museum and Palacio Real de Madrid and numerous other sights. Definitely a great choice.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful from arrival onwards. Room excellent, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Location ideal for walking to large galleries - Thyssen and Reine Sofia, Prado, and the Atocha station. Would book again!

The Catalonia Las Cortes is literally in a perfect location in the historic part of Madrid. There are excellent restaurants, a variety of shops, local sites, and access to taxis. We came from the airport and when we drove up, a very nice and welcoming gentleman came out and took our bags through this large glass sliding door inside to the front desk. Our check in was easy and, no exaggeration, every staff member during out stay greeted us with a warm hello and were so professional. If you are planning on taking a train anywhere, need restaurant advice, where to go and what to see, or friendly banter, the front desk is ready to assist you. They went above and beyond helping us and making sure our stay was perfect. I love the fact that the staff worked as a team and were cross trained. Remember to join the Catalonia Rewards because not only will you get a much better rate than any discount site, you receive free drinks and percentages off of food and beverages you order at the hotel. They do have free snacks and beverages during certain times of the day and there is breakfast available. We didn't eat breakfast there since we already had planned a breakfast elsewhere. It was popular, so it must have been good. As you leave for your room, there is a parlor/bar area where you can take a break and get all sorts of drinks. For your free drink, you have a choice of Cava (the favorite of the Spanish sparkling wine), a beer, or soda. The bar was well stocked, and you could order food. The bartender was charming and had great advice on where to go and knowledge of the area. He and his wife were taking turns running the bar. They did an excellent job. Everything was clean and they were quick to take care of you. Finally we are up to the room. We had reserved a king with a balcony window. That doesn't mean you will be sitting out there. This is originally a building in the historic district and they kept the feel of being in the historic district with up to date ammenities. Our huge bathroom had both a shower and a tub. The beds were comfortable, the view was of the side street which meant it was quieter. Really loved the feel of the room. There is an elevator. This lovely hotel is an absolute must as it is in a safe location, so close to everything, and you couldn't have asked for better hotel staff. They are genuine and professional.

Great breakfast, comfortable room, excellent service, good location – would stay here again Nice hotel in central Madrid, convenient to attractions and public transportation. We stayed here 4 nights in a premium room in April 2024 after Easter. We were able to check in early, this was great since we just arrived in Spain and were exhausted. Room and bathroom were spacious – separate huge shower with rain shower and nozzle shower heads. Huge pillows. And, a real top sheet (not just a comforter!). Nicely appointed room, attentive staff. Initially, the A/C was not working, but the hotel promptly addressed the issue. Fast, working elevators. Quiet. Small refrigerator in room, no microwave. Lighting good in room, including overhead lights. Black-out curtains. Awesome WiFi. Desk and lots of storage space. Breakfast in hotel: Delightful! A wonderful buffet of regional hot dishes, breads, jams, pastries, fruit, cereals, charcuterrie (Iberia ham) and made to order eggs and omeletes. Fresh Valencia orange juice. Espresso and coffee of all types. Hotel also has a dinner service, we ate here and the food was good. They also provide free snacks for happy hour. During our stay, one member of our family had a medical issue and after seeking assistance from the front desk, the immediately called a doctor and made sure we had a cab to the hospital (no ambulance was needed). Hotel clearly had a written protocol for this type of situation, glad they did! Luckily, our medical event resolved quickly and we were able to continue our vacation. We were grateful for how the hotel handled this for us.

Ending our 2 week trip with our 9th hotel, this extravagant location on the Calle de Prado, beats several 5* places that cost much more! We couldn’t be more thrilled with the upgraded room we received! 15 foot ceilings with tray lighting and 3D painted art, and the bed is enormous- size of 2 doubles put together. The walls have panels of padded fabric outlined in silk cording, double glass doors on both large closets, and 12’ French doors open to a juliet balcony overlooking a lovely, quiet side street. Room 202 is the best!! And the staff is sweet and accommodating, this place is a find and we will absolutely return on our next visit to Madrid!
