I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and well-appointed, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. Highly recommend for a comfortable and pleasant stay! best manager ever

I must say it has been one of the most welcoming hotels i have ever visited especially the staff. We were welcomed by a lovely lady at the reception and even though the lunch was about to be over she offered that we could countinue our check-in after we had eaten. The food is also absolutely delicious. You can find everything there from greek food to french fries. We were also in luck because on one of the days when we stayed there was a live music event. At first we were two boring estonians who refused to dance, however, the barman encouraged us to go and then we danced there and it was so fun. Honorable mention to the receptionist who was always looking out for us and just so friendly and welcoming. As we promised to the receptionist we will go there again for sure. I definitely recommend Solimar Ruby.

The whole stay was sooooo great, hade a blast. The grew were sooo nice. It felt like O made friends with the whole grew. There was live music where they played Greek music and the barmens took us dancing. It was awsome. In addition, foods and coctails were amazing. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We spent our vacation here for a week. The hotel is very welcoming and clean, but excels in terms of the employees. The entire staff is fantastic, they are all passionate about what they do and have welcomed us with love throughout our time here, but I would like to give a special mention to Alecsandros from reception who always helped us with everything, from travel tips to solve any problems or concerns and Nicholas from the bar who was always smiling, welcoming and sociable. Both made us feel at home, surrounded by friends, and gave us a good reason to come back.

A lovely hotel made extra special by the friendliness and helpfulness of every single member of staff. We stayed in the upgraded part and the rooms are lovely. The food was a very high quality and hot compared to most AI buffets. The Cretan specials section was always lovely and the baklava was so nice. The cocktail menu was good and the cocktails were made by the bar staff rather than pre made. The rose wine was also very nice. The hotel is very clean and the maintenance staff were super efficient when we had an issue to resolve. The hotel is close to the beach and to the old town which is beautiful especially on an evening with the tavernas/bars. Malia was very quiet in April/May and I imagine it is much much busier in the summer months. We had a great time exploring the island and the staff gave some helpful recommendations on where to go. George the manager was always on hand to check things and it is him and his excellent team that make this such a wonderful place to stay.

We had a family holiday in this hotel at the beginning of May. The service is one of the best I've ever seen. the food is delicious and varied. delicious ice cream every day. During breaks between meals, delicious and varied snacks are always available. Nice and clean pool. 10 minutes walk to the sea. We definitely recommend this hotel. If we are in Crete again, we will definitely return to this hotel. thanks for a wonderful vacation!

No free wifi. You have to pay 20 Euros. Far from the beach. You have to walk to the beach on a road with no sidewalks, literally with cars honking to make place. Scratched room entry door. We were placed in a sort of a basement room, with dark draperies and no curtains so we had to keep the lights on all the time. Very creepy room. Nothing but a bottle of water in the minibar of the dungeon like room, although we bought the all inclusive package. Definitely not 4 stars.

A lovely hotel with fantastic friendly helpful staff especially Isabelle at reception.Unfortunately it is NOT suitable for disabled persons We stayed in a junior suite. There are no lifts in the three story building with steep steps and no rails. Definitely dangerous! I am disabled and guess what I got! I don’t blame the staff as there was no other room available. It took two days to be transferred to a ground level. Guess what even then there were more steps! However we had a good time even though mobility was a nigh**are. Thank you all staff for your help

I went on holiday here as a single mum with 2 young children. We all had a fabulous time. The room was comfortable and clean. The food was very good and varied. I am vegetarian and there was always plenty. My little boy is a fussy eater but always found something. The drinks are great. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Pool was always clean and never left wanting a sunbed. The beach was a 15 minute walk and you can walk through the main ***** of shops if you don't want to walk on the road with no path - although it was fine. The dolphin watersports is a 20 minute walk and we went para-sailing which was an amazing experience. There is a gorgeous pizza place just up the road and a fresh bakery round the corner if you fancied a walk out for food. Big supermarkets on the doorstep too. When we were due to come home we got caught up in the cancelled flights fiasco with traffic control issues in the UK. The hotel look great care of us, we didn't want for anything. They made us safe, comfortable and ensured I was happy and not worried. The manager stayed in touch with me and messaged regularly to make sure I was ok and ensured I didn't worry. We stayed another couple few days until I could get a flight home. When I spoke to other holiday makers on the way home, they'd all had a nigh**are at their hotels and ripped off for every penny, my experience was totally the opposite and I was so grateful, especially as I was travelling on my own with young children. We would definitely return. Gorgeous place, beautiful beach and such a friendly and welcoming hotel. Thankyou for a lovely stay. 💙
