Village Pierre & Vacances Pont Royal en Provence

We stayed for one week early September, our first family vacation with our 16 month old. First of all, the staff is lovely, always ready to give a helping hand. We were lucky and got upgraded from a flat to a house with a terrace. We had booked the baby pack and the stroller (quite old and rusty but perfectly find to drive baby around in the resort), folding bed and high chair were waiting for us at the house. However, we would have appreciated a changing mat as we had to make do with towels on one of the beds. The pools were beautiful, clean and safe (always 2-3 lifeguards monitoring), with a toddler area that our son loved. Special mention to the mini-farm that our son absolutely LOVED, thanks to the lovely Caroline, whose love for her animal transpires, who is very kind, very knowledgeable, and who shares the animal's back stories with the visitors. Our son also stayed at the baby club during for one day and the staff was lovely as well, making sure he had plenty to do and play with (feeding the fish, ball pool, etc.). The restaurants and bars and shops are not very fancy (the bakery could be better, the bread at the Vival is better than the bakery's - and as a French-native, I know my baguette!) but they offer a lovely view for an early evening/late afternoon drink. We arrived at Pierre Vaccances village club Pont Royal au provenance on Thursday 14th July. We were shown on the map how to get to our room and were then advised there was no air conditioning but we were given a ‘fan’. When we arrived in our room we were horrified that we were put on the third floor with two 2yr old twins! We asked to be moved immediately as our twins are too little to understand not to climb and falling from 3 flights high, is not a risk we were prepared to take even if Pierre Vaccances were! We were advised by a receptionist to come back in the morning to talk and see if another room was available. We went back on Friday morning and we were advised that there would not be another room available until Saturday morning. We said we would like to take that room but could we have another fan as it is so hot. We were given another fan but it is useless. I made it very clear on the booking that there are 5 children and two adults and 2 or 3 fans in the 21st century is quite frankly a disgrace! Why on earth were we not advised In the booking that the accomodation does not have air conditioning? The room is absolutely boiling and there is no relief from the heat. I could not open the windows and doors due to the safety of our twins and our other children are starting to feel sick and unwell due to the heat! I am somewhat shocked that this was not thought orning arrived and so did the new room on the ground floor. However, the heat was still intensifying and are children were starting to become very sick. In the description one of the rooms are listed as an ‘alcove’ with a bunk bed. An ‘alcove’ suggests that it is part of a bigger room, this is horrifyingly not the case. It is a room with a door and a 1ft by 1ft window that opens in wards. There is room for 1 fan and that’s is it!! Our older boys were in this room and temperatures were reaching well over 100 oC with no relief whatsoever from the heat. A severe lack of ventilation and extreme heat which made them incredibly sick! Our two Yr old twins were born premature and one of them was born with a genetic condition which means that being in extreme heat can cause significant harm. We were given a ground floor room on Saturday afternoon which is marginally better however, the garden is not enclosed still causing some concern for our little twins. On the third day, I checked my bank account only to find I have been double charged the deposit by the hotel. The first payment was made by my husband using my card and the second was automatically taken by the village and without my consent! How is that allowed to happen? I spoke to the reception about this and was advised that it could not have been an error on their part because it is listed as ‘Gasoline’. The amount taken was the exact amount taken by Pierre Vaccances and at the same time. We have not been anywhere else for this to be taken by anyone else. Furthermore, your Wi-Fi does not work! Séjour en mai 2024 catastrophique appartement sale, puant, punaises de lit dans la chambre avec lits superposés, confirmé avec la pharmacienne du Village de Mallemort. Délogée à un 1 km du centre par l’hébergeur maeva.com mais aucun dédommagement pour le préjudice subi, vacances stressante, épuisante, gâchées. J’ai dû payer le produit insecticide, les sacs poubelles, les machine à laver, les sèches linges de ma poche, le service client dit n’avoir retrouvé aucune punaise de lit dans l’appartement... résidence Luberon, étrange… chez moi ni à l’aller ni au retour, je n’ai trouvé de punaise de lit (après avoir encore tout laver à 60 degrés encore une fois) pourtant elle étaient bien dans l’appartement (voir vidéo et photos).

Séjour familial avec 4 appartements, nous avons téléphoné pour pouvoir êtres proches les uns des autres, manque de chance, chacun a un coin du village … annoncé cafetière nespresso par téléphone, finalement cafetière filtre .. Domaine accueillant et charmant, très agréable de s’y promener, mais toutefois un peu vieillissant par manque d’entretien (armoires électriques ouvertes, façades noircies… ) en revanche côté végétation, les jardiniers paysagistes font un travail admirable. Notre appartement « rénové «  nous a un peu déçu, hormis une table basse changée et quelques babioles au mur, rien de neuf … la vétusté se retrouve à l’intérieur, notamment dans les pièces d’eau (joints noirs, fond de baignoire tellement rayé qu’il en parait sale …) Dommage. Murs très fin, on peut entendre la conversation du voisin ou les conversations téléphoniques des femmes de ménages pas très discrètes. Problème de boîtier électrique qui sifflait dans la chambre, vite résolu par l’efficace réceptionniste qui a même réussi à nous trouver une cafetière nespresso comme annoncé.

Réservation via Maeva à l'Hôtel du Golf - Piscines à disposition ainsi que les autres facilités du club Pierre et Vacances, très beau cadre avec le Golf et petit étang en fond de vue et la 1ère des 3 piscines, mise à disposition de parasol pour cette piscine et accès internet dans l'appart et l'ensemble des autres accès (piscine à vague, piscine aux rochers compris dans le prix) que demander de plus..... le petit snack bien sympa (pensée aux deux filles ( et en particulier à la dame de Salon de Provence qui y travaille)!!!! Le petit Bémol est le parking Souterrain ou l'ensemble des gens se gare n'importe comment sans respecter les numéro d'appartement (à surveiller!!!!!!). Les petits marchés Provençaux devraient être m’a fois un peu plus provençal également!!!!! Le reste comme le village de château gonflable, les blind test sont de bonnes initiatives.

Un excellent séjour dans ce domaine familial où il fait bon profiter du calme et des espaces aquatiques. Je craignais un peu le séjour au vu des commentaires mais je n’ai pas été déçue. Nous avons profiter d’une petite maison provençale dans le quartier taillades. Bien que sans climatisation il est aisé de ventiler pour obtenir du frais notamment le soir. Nous avons aimé la terrasse et le jardin privatif qui nous donnait l’impression de ne pas être collé aux voisins. Pour les espaces aquatiques, deux endroits différents soit la piscine des rochers soit le piscine à vagues. Les toboggans et la rivière sauvage sont au top! Le personnel est agréable et disponible.
