I stay here regularly when in town because the location is great and the Accor group has a commitment to Covid-safe cleaning practices.
On this stay, there were very high winds and I discovered this trip that the building has a unique wind-tunnelling issue.
The hallways "sing" with a high-pitched squeal through the vents.
No worries, the rooms have fire doors and the minute the door to the room is shut, the sound is blocked out.
In my case, the little mechanism at the bottom of the door didn't seal off, which meant the sound continued.
The concierge changed my room immediately - brilliant!
Only issue was that there are many fingermarks on door handle backplates, so I cleaned them all myself.
Also, I was verbally harassed by a guest for choosing to wear a mask in the lift.
Not at all the Sebel's fault; just a disappointing end to a lovely stay.
