Ramee California Hotel

It was very nice experiance. We have stayed there two nights and we are really happy for the services we have got. Rooms are very neat and clean, good room services, staff's are friendly.

I did not yet checked out while doing this review. I booked for non-smoking room but upon arrival, and upon opening my hotel room, someone is inside which made it awkward and a bit of disappointment. I went down and the receptionist transferred me to another room but the smell is full of smoke attached to all the pillows, comforter, curtains... I thought it will disappear in few hours but no, I slept with the smell overnight. The internet is also not good at all, very disappointing even after the restart as confirmed by the receptionist. still very slow. I called the receptionist at night what time is the gym and swimming pool the next day, they confirmed 9 am onwards. Upon delaying my sleep to 9 AM, the receptionist said that the facilities are under maintenance. The good thing is that I did not book with breakfast, I left to have breakfast and internet coverage at nearby cafe and returned only past 12 for check out. Not recommendable period.

I chose this hotel as it offered a very good rate for my 2 nights stay. I was not disappointed. When you book a hotel at a rate well below the rest, your expectations should be realistic. Had stayed in this hotel many years back and was concerned to see the property noticeably run down during the past years. Impact of COVID-19 may be the key reason. My room, #402 on 4th floor was adequately spacious and had a good view of the intersection and the surrounding. It was relaxing until the discos in ground and first levels started playing loud music. Music goes on till the dawn and due to poor soundproofing, you could feel the vibration from the room beside noise. Managed to sleep well despite this hence no complaints. Bathroom was bit compact but was good enough for a solo traveler. Good quality toiletries were available but missed the dental kit. Tea coffee making facility was available and complementary bottle of drinking water was available on arrival. Comfort of the was average. Mattresses and pillows were bit hard than I prefer. I smelt tobacco not only in my room bur in all areas I moved through and hanged around. Overall, the stay met with my expectations though it could have been better. I shall consider staying here again when I am on a tight budget.
