Back to Maria Alm for 8th time skiing there. New, extended Hochkonig Tour. My wonderful old standby Pension has changed hands and upped its prices so time for a change. Very, very glad I did. Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly, attentive staff. Solid range of breakfast items - even cooked if you ask. We went for Half Board but supper didn't feel like second best. A choice of 3 different items each night - so 21 choices over the week. And the bar open for hot chocolate mit sahn und rhum when back from skiing. Wellness Centre in basement for some pampering. Handy place to park car. 40 metres from nearest bus stop. 5 minutes from ski lift if you stride out. No nightclub (hurray). I'd like to keep it to myself but that would be selfish. And we have already booked for next year!!!

Wasn't quite sure what to expect. We researched and booked well in advance from UK. Given the price (very reasonable) it really couldn't have been better. The booking process and communications throughout were excellent and very helpful. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the good service carried on for the whole week. The restaurant was a real surprise. Excellent food and service and nice cold beer. No reason at all to want to go out anywhere else for breakfast or dinner. Lots of nice lunch places up in the mountains, and apres-ski at the bottom of the slopes, but dinner's in Hotel Edelweis were just fine. One small thing, which wasn't a problem in the end, breakfast only starts at 0800 which means really early starters risk missing the first gondolas up when they open at 0830. We would cheekily turn up at 0745 though. They wre ready, and I don't think minded, or at least, if they did, no one said anything! Would definitely come back here again!

Wir gehen im Edelweiß jedes Jahr im Urlaub essen und sind jedes Mal total begeistert. Das Essen ist hier wirklich sehr gut und auch der Service passt perfekt. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, die auch gern mal ein paar private Worte wechselt. Für ein sehr gutes Abendessen die absolute Empfehlung!
