Hotel berhampiran Boussif, Marrakech

Great hotel, good value for money, friendly staff, choice of lively or quiet adult only pool, free shuttle into town for culture and shopping. Buffet food was mostly good, if a little repetitive. Would have appreciated slightly more vegetarian options

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. Nous sommes venus à l'hôtel à plus de 10 personnes. L'accueil est super. Les personnes sont souriantes et disent oui à tout sans même des fois comprendre. Nous sommes arrivés à 19h30 et notre chambre était à moitié faite. Nous ne pouvions nous doucher car les serviettes n'avaient pas été posées. La dame dans le couloir avait refusé de nous les donner. Elle a préféré discuter sur WhatsApp. Les chambres jamais prêtes avant 16 17h. Imaginez lorsque vous vous êtes évadés toute la journée et que vous désirez juste prendre une douche mais pas possible car chambre pas prête. Le service esthétique en bas est à fuir. J'ai fait mes soins dans le hall et vu que l'esthéticienne était longue (un taxi l'attendait 1h apres) je n'ai pas eu la totalité de ma prestation mais j'ai du payer la TOTALITE. Bref je mers un 5/10 car le lieu est sympa et calme. Le service est à revoir sérieusement.

I recently stayed at Palais Mehdi in Marrakesh, Morocco and it was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for on our vacation. An escape from the chaos of the city center to return to at the end of the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. And let's not forget about the beautiful pool, which was the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Free parking too! Overall, we had an amazing stay at Palais Mehdi and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in Marrakesh. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so memorable!

Hotel, very very clean, a bit dated but still nothing to complain about, they have 2 receptions on 2 different streets (back door, front door), back door staff absolutely lovely and welcoming, took case up to room etc, front door staff are not helpful at all, they weren't doing currency exchange until 5pm, so I asked where to get it from, and they sent me totally in wrong direction, walked for ages to find one, then few days later found 1 just round the opposite corner. they had no maps to help you, didn't give you any advice, they really didn't want to know you if you were English. WARNING to all vegetarians my friend got half board as she was a vegetarian, the menu every night are 2 choices, chicken or beef that's it, oh and if you have a bottle of water with your meal expect to pay for it !!! Breakfast was ok, boiled eggs, polony, and cheese triangles, selection of pastries, dried bread, and what can only be described as a pancake made from layers of filo pastry which you needed to tear apart and what looked like syrup next to them was actually oil YUK. But there was jam and marmalade too. AS said before the staff were extremely unhelpful and when leaving I put my case at front desk, only to be told I would be picked up at desk 2, so sat there 45 minutes and rang pick up people they were at main reception on time. They came back for me but not happy, just made my flight home in time, I would not go there again

Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

NE RESERVEZ PAS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS- This hotel must be avoided at all costs!!!!! Do not trust positive ratings, they cannot be trusted and have been paid for. Evitez cet hotel a tout prix!!!! Ne croyez pas les avis postifs, achetes a moindre cout par cet hotel. Ditry bedsheets provided everyday, stained towels everyday, broken plugs in the bathrooms (!!!!), no AC, very small pool, broken shower heads, a very aggressive manager. We left before the end of our stay to a different hotel. This place is not safe! Draps sales, literie douteuse, piscine trop petite, equipements a l'abandon, un manager aggressif, prises murales exposees dans les salle de bains!!, draps dechires, Nous avons exige un remboursement de nos frais. Nous avons quittes l'hotel avant la fin de notre sejour. Nous n'etions pas en securite!

This was a reasonable hotel at reasonable pricing. Was on the 5th floor so good view looking out. The room needs updating was the headboard was detached, light switch loosely connected, shower head holder needing fixing. I travelled solo so this was no biggie. Overall happy with the experience
