We booked a two-night stay at your Lion Suite and paid close to £800 with all associated fees. Prior to the arrival we requested foam pillows and extra toiletries as we have lost ours ( none was provided) Upon arrival on a very hot July afternoon, we were greeted by a very sour receptionist named Silvia who makes sure you know that she is annoyed that you disturbed her. I asked about luggage assistance, but she snapped to say there is no luggage assistance and ” I will tell you aout that later.” As she enters our details onthe computer we asked for some water as there was none whatsoever at the reception. (note the head and temperature Italy around 1:30 PM) A waiter later gave us a bottle of water ( no glasses to drink from) This water was later charged to us on check out. Silvia proceeded to explain all the facilities, opening times, rules and that we have the bikes that we rented available to us tomorrow at any time. She checked us into a property a drive away from the main property. We thanked and tipped her and off she went. The property is nice, the views are fantastic, the sink and shower were spectacular and sheets to die for but the bed being very old and unstable makes a lot of noise at every little move, no chair or comfortable seat inside the room, the doors, windows, and bed corners are deadly, and you can hear people next door very well. The next day we woke up early planning to cycle before the it gets hot, but the reception was not open to redeem the bikes and did not open until 9 AM. We were greeted by Sarah who asked wether we will be having lunch and dinner at the property and demanded exact timing so that the chef can prepare. Sunday lunch time arrived, my partner and I have been walking and hiking all day, sweaty and rather dirty but wanting to keep our strict lunch booking, we asked if we could sit at the free table at the farther end of the restaurant as a lot fof well-dressed families were having their Sunday lunch at the restaurant. We were given a firm no; we do not use that table for lunch ( it was simply a matter of moving the tablecloth) so we complied and sat where they wanted. We waited 15 minutes for some water and when I asked for some bread Sarah snapped at me saying “ we ony serve bread after we take the order” We waited another 10 minutes for the order to be taken only then were we allowed to have some bread. The same attitude happened when asking for the bill. The same attitude of annoyance at being disturbed. When we finally had a chance to use the bicycles that we booked for 180 Euro, my partner was assisted by Silvia after queuing for 15 minutes. She took him downstairs, made him sign all the paperwork she required and showed us the bike. We asked about the details who to call in case of emergency, where to go etc. Silvia proceed to inform us that the bikes are third party provided and that there is an app that we an download. Note that none of this information was given to us prior despite 5
