It is very true that a picture and an image tell their own powerful story! When my husband Guy and I arrived back at the Westin Hotel from Florence, Guy got down on the floor of the hotel reception on both knees to offer a prayer of thanks to Riccardo, the Head Concierge of the Magical Concierge Team. This is how grateful and delighted we were with the services of the Concierge team of Riccardo, Andrea and Silvia. Riccardo was unphased by us not having made Porter reservations for the Railway station. He said he would find a way to help for us with our large luggage. The combination of Riccardo’s skills and connections achieved a mini miracle; our taxi driver to Milan station had been briefed on how to secure porter assistance and the plan was executed with military precision. A young man appeared from nowhere to provide this assistance. This type of service can only be achieved by a Magical Concierge Team. Riccardo, Andrea and Silvia also scored perfection on our return journey from Florence to Milan. As the train arrived at Milan Central, Porter Andrea was holding up a sign with my name on it with the universal thumbs up signal. Watching this Porter lift two suitcases weighing around 20 kilos each from the overhead baggage rack as though they were a feather, was astonishing. Between them Porter Andrea and Mario, the driver of the chauffeur service ensured a seamless arrival back at the Westin. We recommend this Concierge team without any hesitation as the best.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights during a visit to Milan and the northern Italian lakes. I had visited Milan a few times before but this was the first time we stayed here. Overall it was a very good experience. The hotel is conveniently located for a tourist visit to Milan. Not in the busiest part of the center of the city, but sufficiently close and with a metro station very close by that allows you to get to most sights and museums swiftly. There is also a limousine service provided by the hotel to the city center but we didn’t use that. We booked a superior room: spacious with a nice bathroom with separate bathtub and shower (something I like). The furnishing of the room was very stylish and in tune with the rest of the hotel. The room was on a side of the hotel which was fairly quiet. A good bed (a bit soft for my taste, but one adapts). Fresh fruit in the room and every day fresh water for the both of us. We didn’t use the mini-bar but it looked well-stocked. Good-sized safe. Overall good service as regards make-up of the room, turn-down service, etc. My better half enjoyed the pool. We didn’t use the spa services. Breakfast was good without being exceptional, but if you are into a big breakfast lots of additional possibilities are available. We did eat dinner at the restaurant one evening (we usually prefer to explore and eat outside). That was very good with excellent food, a very good selection of wine (obviously heavily tilted to the Italian side), a some nice extra options (I enjoyed a very good port after dinner). Overall service was excellent, friendly and very professional in all departments. The hotel and its facilities and furnishings are very nice, with a lot of nice design touches. All very traditional, luxurious yet tasteful. A very nice touch was that when we got back to our room in the afternoon of the birthday of my better half we found a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and a nice birthday cake. A very nice personal touch which we greatly appreciated. This is obviously not an economy hotel, but I would recommend it highly. It lives up to its luxury rating and really impressed me with its professionalism and service. Worth its price. Would certainly book there again if I went back to Milan.

We selected the hotel for its reputation as a flagship, luxury property within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. We booked a 3 night stay at the beginning of a 3 week trip through Italy,. The hotel has a majestic presence in a wonderful, central Milan location. The common areas of the hotel have magnificent architectural details and are beautifully appointed. The staff is universally professional and well-trained. We were pleasantly greeted upon checking in and assigned a room that we were looking forward to after traveling close to 24 hours end-to-end from our home in California. The room was badly worn and very disappointing. The leather on the exterior of the door was literally peeling off. Inside; the leather headboard was also in horrible condition; the leather desk chair had holes in it and showed considerable wear; the leather-covered drawers were worn through and peeling; and the long wood laminate counter was badly chipped. The room should have been renovated years ago, and certainly had no place being in a 5-star, luxury hotel. We were exhausted from our long journey, otherwise we would have requested a change in rooms. We unpacked and prepared to refresh with a shower when we realized that the temperature control for the shower was not functioning. We called the front desk and they promptly sent up a tech. He worked on it and then summoned another associate. Neither could fix it. We called the front desk again, and they said that they’d move us to another room within 10-15 minutes. We packed up everything and waited. About an hour passed and I went down to the front desk to personally discuss the matter and find out why we had not been moved. The desk clerk was very kind, and stated that they were still working on finding us another room. He stated that the hotel is very aware of the condition of the rooms, but doesn’t want to close off any rooms for renovation when the hotel is busy during prime season. He assured me that the new room would be ready soon and that they would be moving us to a “much larger” one. Finally, after waiting about 2 hours, we were moved to our new room. Again, the leather on the door was badly peeling and should have been replaced. The room was not substantially larger, and seemed roughly the same size as the first one. Overall, it was badly worn, the carpet had stains in it, and the bathroom had mildew in the grout around the shower/tub. The bathroom felt dirty. Upon checking out, the desk manager asked me how our stay was before realizing that she recognized our name. She told me that our situation had come up in a staff meeting and that the hotel wanted to try and make things right by offering to credit our Bonvoy account for one of the three nights of our stay. While this gesture was appreciated, the experience at the hotel was extremely disappointing. My boyfriend and I got this hotel in a package deal with easy jet. It was very reasonably priced and upon reading a few reviews we felt a little apprehensive about staying here. However we felt as though our stay was good, the room was very clean, modern and the bathroom was rather big. We got welcomed when we arrived and welcomed at breakfast every morning. The two only complaints is the noise from the street however what else can you expect when staying in the middle of the city, also the walls are rather thin we found ourself hearing other people’s alarms in the morning. Yet I do recommend staying here.

A deposit of €150 has been taken from me which was supposed to be refunded but not yet received it back in my card. I would request to refund it asap. I checked in at around 2:am on 3rd June, I opted for late check out, hotel informed that late check out can be possible max till 14:00 and they changed €50 for that, in the morning when asked to extend my reservation till next day, they didn't adjust the amount €50 which I gave for late check out, on top of that they charged me €110 more for this extension, I would have expected better service here.

Hotel nothing like the pictures on booking.com or Expedia. The rooms are extremely dated and badly in need of refurbishment. The toilet has a tap to flush which drips loudly all night. Wish we had booked another hotel. We paid a lot of money for the rooms and the quality was poor.

We have been traveling in Europe for decades. Hotel Sanpi is a pleasant surprise. It is an extremely well-maintained, well-preserved example of what we used to find long ago. Today, It seems that most hotels are cookie-cutter copies of Marriot and Hilton; the same tan/beige color palette, same furniture, furnishings, same floor plan, etc. This hotel is a pleasant change from the usual. It's in a old building that has been restored to top condition. The hotel staff is among the best we have ever encountered--professional, accommodating and polite. Our room was spotless with a huge bathroom and beautiful birch cabinetry. We love the 12-foot ceilings and the small balcony. Also, the location is great with several restaurants nearby. Tired of staying in the same ”corporate” style hotel? Then stay here. We will be back.

3 day/2night city break to Milan. This hotel is perfect !! Spotlessly clean, lovely ambience, lighting, chic and the whole stay was faultless. Easy location to access Metro at Porta Venezia, tram stops and buses. Only a 15 minute walk from the central train station. Lovely restaurants close by. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 206 small twin ! Extremely comfortable beds with heavenly products in the bathroom including shower gel, hand wash, shampoo. Non smoking room. It was compact but perfectly adequate for our needs. Situated on inner courtyard so very quiet and cosy. Breakfast was superb.. plenty of selection including fresh fruit salad, granola, yogurt selection, continental meats, cheeses, very tasty scrambled egg, boiled eggs, bacon and sausage. Great selection of croissants, bread rolls, cake. All plentiful and a bright and pleasant breakfast room on ground floor and the staff were efficient and courteous. Would most definitely stay here again in our next trip to Milan

The room was tiny and a bit old-fashioned, but well arranged. Every single corner was utterly clean. Only negative comment: I would have really appreciated a kettle in the room. Breakfast is fine. The staff is extremely kind and supportive. The hotel is located just out of the metro station, which is very convenient. The city centre (Piazza del Duomo) can be reached also by foot. Probably because of this location, the hotel is a bit expensive for what it provides. Overall recommended, despite not a business hotel.

I´m not sure how it is like to stay at Ostelzzz for several nights, but I find it a very convenient solution for me who arrived around midnight in Milan, and already had leave from Milano Centrale by noon on the next day. I had a proper sleep for one night in a capsule. It really was a hostel, but with so much better privacy. Staffs were extremely kind and helpful. They gave me a welcome drink. Online check-in in advance made my actual check-in so much easier. Had everything I needed, incl breakfast, towel too. Clean and well-organized. Breakfast was simple, but more than good enough for me. I wouln´t hesitate to choose Ostelzzz next time.

Clean, great location, friendly staff. The area is away from tourist attractions but close enough to walk. The hotel is also around plenty of other more local bars and restaurants as well as a park.
