Spacious clean and close to the city

I stayed at this small independent hotel for three nights, though I paid for four. I was not happy to spend a few hours sitting up on a bench at the train station the last night but it was better than dealing with the glowering, unfriendly innkeeper. Check this out: The hotel is located a few blocks from stores, cafes, public transport and is about a half mile from Milano Centrale Station. The area is OK. The innkeeper was fairly friendly at first, checked me in, and directed me to my room on the fourth floor. The hotel has vault ceilings, so the fourth floor is really like the SIXTH floor of a normal building. Be prepared for a multiple workouts. I had to go back downstairs for the wifi password, not long after arriving, so this became an issue right away. He didn't volunteer it upon check-in and he seemed surprised when I asked for it....with perspiration running down my face. The room was basic but quite clean with a TV, lights, single bed, desk and had a shower with bidet. You cannot flush the toilet paper, if you use it. There was a sign above the desk directing you NOT to put your luggage ON the desk, apparently to avoid scratching it. I found it an odd request, but I didn't mind using the luggage rack. The booking website said they had A/C which was true but the unit was seven feet off the ground and there was no way to activate it or control it. I went out shortly after arriving, around 9 p.m. for some food, and when I came back, noticed it took the innkeeper a minute or two to remotely unlock the sliding glass door. He seemed a bit annoyed that I was out until close to 10. I told him I typically go running early in the morning and asked if that was a problem, he became more annoyed and asked that I write down when I plan to leave and return each day. I tried to communicate in basic English that the front desk hours listed on the booking website didn't indicate this would be a problem, but he again lost his patience. He did so nearly every time I tried to speak to him, saying his English is no good. The booking website said the staff spoke English, not that they spoke English but it's bad and they'll get annoyed with you as a result. Also, you have to surrender and obtain your room from him EVERY time you come and go. Not terribly uncommon, but not convenient, particularly given this guy's attitude. The first morning I chose to go out at 8:30 a.m. and go for my jog later, so as not to upset the innkeeper, though it was inconvenient to me. On Saturday, I had to go out at 7:15 a.m. Now mind you, the desk hours are listed as 6:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. and at 7:15 a.m., the sun was already up. Well, the glass door was locked and the outside gates were locked. That's comforting. What do you do if there's a fire? I knock on the wall near the front desk, I hear the innkeeper JUMP UP and he starts saying "MARONE A MIA!'' and shaking his head as he comes out. I said, 'Senore, it's 7:15 a.m.,

Very nice, clean and friendly little hotel! The room was tiny, but cute, and had everything in good condition and clean. The area is convenient for moving around the city having metro stations in a few minutes reach, and big shopping street Corso Buenos Aires leading to the centrum a block away. The area itself has several similar small hotels and a small shop to get water and fruits around the corner. Otherwise quiet, no noisy bars etc. The owner couple was very friendly and seemed to really care for their customers, greeting with my name every time. Definitely coming back to this place whenever in Milan!

It is a budget friendly place, near public translation which makes it easy to come and go from attractions.

Struttura accogliante facile da raggiungere con la metro di p.le Loreto vicinissima, gestori gentilissimi e sempre disponibili ,camera recentemente ristrutturate ( materasso ottimo ) reception aperta tutta la notte , ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo Zona tranquilla ma con tutto il necessario raggiungibile a pochi passi ( bar, ristoranti, caffetterie,forno etc)

Prima impressione negativa perché all'esterno c'è una sola stella e poi ci sono le scale che scendono non proprio accoglienti. Ma la cortesia dei gestori e la stanza grande e pulita ti fanno sentire a casa, ottimo qualità prezzo, bagno un po' datato ma pulito. Lo consiglio. Peccato non siamo la colazione ma di fronte c'è un panificio bar pasticceria ottimo.

Me hospede en el hotel en Nov 2023. Está atendido por dueños, los cuales son muy serviciales. Está cerca caminando de la Stazione Centrale de trenes, y cerca de la estación de metro Loreto. El hotel no cuenta con ascensor, pero te ayudan a transportar el equipaje hasta la habitación. La habitación es muy acogedora, limpia, bien decorada, con un mini balcón a la calle, totalmente aislada de los ruidos de afuera. Al no tener desayuno, me hubiese gustado que tuviera una pava/ jarra eléctrica, para poder calentarse un té, café, después de las largas jornadas de turismo. Otro detalle, con el que no tuve suerte, fue la ducha que no tenia buena presión, y el chorro era escaso. No salía tan tan caliente el agua. El pago me lo efectuaron a la salida de la estadía Tuve una buena estadía

Pulito adeguato ed Anna ottima... padrona di casa con glu ospiti. Stanze ampie e bagno ottimo soprattutto pulito. Esperienza positiva. Buonissini iconsigli ricevuti sui locali/ristoranti /bar e pasticceriae. Zona adeguata e ben servita dalla metropolitana. Qualità /prezzo ok

Ogni volta che vengo a Milano è la mia prima scelta per rapporto qualità prezzo, cordialità e simpatia dei gestori. Situato in zona strategica, non lontano dalla stazione Centrale. Ci si arriva anche a piedi se piace camminare e si ha bagaglio leggero percorrendo la via dello shopping di C.so Buenos Aires, vicino anche a stazione metro Loreto e Lima. Ottimo.
