Nagano is a quiet city. The only tourist spot would be Zenkoji temple and chestnuts sweets. Choices of Restaurants and shops are not what tourists usually expect. This hotel is just right next to the JR and high speed train station or you could say “in the station” as there is a bridge connecting to the 2nd floor of the hotel ( reception at 1st floor). Supermarket at the station is small and just like convenient store. But there are souvenir shops in the station. So do consider and plan for dinner. The hotel also offer good deals for body massage services. In short this is a up to standard business hotel but not quite recommended for tourists.

Saya tidak pandai bau tembakau dan saya sangat sensitif dengan baunya, jadi apabila saya bertanya lebih awal jika saya boleh menukar ke bilik larangan merokok, bangunan utama telah dinaik taraf dari bangunan selatan. Saya mahu tinggal lagi^^ Terdapat 2 set kemudahan dalam bakul Berus gigi, pisau cukur, krim pencukur, berus rambut, tuala mandi (lembut) Botol mini gel mandian, syampu, perapi Terdapat juga sabun ajaib (Lavender lavender), jadi anda boleh melakukan apa sahaja dari menanggalkan solek wanita hingga mencuci muka, yang sangat menarik. Walau bagaimanapun, saya fikir ia tidak dapat dielakkan secara struktur, tetapi saya tidak boleh tidur kerana saya bimbang tentang bunyi bolong ketika saya mula-mula masuk ke dalam bilik.

The hotel located in the area of government buildings. It is therefore very good for business people. They have five restaurants. But because we did not arrange for hotel breakfast, it was a bit difficult to get breakfast around the hotel. But there is a convenient store nearby. The room was clean. Reception gave us a high floor room with beautiful city view. Appreciate that. The hotel has three big car parks. Hotel guest needed to pay parking fee of 1000 yen for throughout the stay, which I think is reasonable. The hotel is actually well located - close enough to the sightseeing spots in the city centre.

駐車場が広いので、よく出張で泊まります。コロナ禍のときは、閑散として寂しい時もありましたが、今回は駐車場も混雑してて久々に活気がありました。夕方5時半にチェックインをしたところ、部屋の準備がまだなので、喫茶コーナーでお待ちください。とのこと・・・思わず、なんでこの時間で部屋に入れないんだ！と少し怒りましたが・・仕方がないので、喫茶コーナーで待ちました。ほかにも、７～８組待っているお客さんがいました。ホテルの係員が部屋の準備ができ次第　案内してましたが平身低頭、お客さんを案内して、少しでも早くと一生懸命動き回ってました。支配人もお客さんそれぞれに謝っていて、ホテルの係員みんなで何とか早くご案内を！って気持ちを感じました。考えてみれば、これだけ大箱のホテルが旅行支援でいきなり満室になったら、人手が足りる訳がありません。都心じゃなく、地方なんだから。そんな中、一生懸命　走り回って頑張ってる係員を見ているとクレームどころか、また泊まりたいな。と思いました。

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really clean and comfortable hotel and just a 7 minute walk from Nagano Station, a 7 minute walk to bus stop 23 for the Snow Monkey Park and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. It is also 15/20 minutes to Zenko-Ji which is a beautiful Buddhist temple and well worth visiting. We didn’t have breakfast included during our stay but other guests said that it was really good. Our room was really clean, spacious and comfortable with a firm mattress, a tv, toiletries and a kettle. In reception you can help yourself to teas, coffee and other toiletries for free which was helpful. The staff were really friendly and patient as we don’t speak Japanese. Our room was next to the railway line but the sound proofing was excellent and it was so quiet and we had two good nights of sleep. A comfortable and clean hotel that is conveniently located for exploring Negano.

Nice & cosy hotel that provides free tasty soba noodles every night. There’s also free coffee machine at the lobby. The onsen is great & there’s even free ice cream at night and free yakult drinks in the morning. We also washed our clothes using the washing machines at the onsen area. There is a charge of 100 yen for using the dryer for 20 mins which I personally feel it’s reasonably priced. Will stay in this hotel again!

I visited Nagano both to visit family and to work. The reception was completely understanding of my need to have the hotel room for video calls overseas and kindly helped me arrange servicing of the room accordingly. The room size for one was comfortable enough for a foreigner about 6 foot 1 in height. The bed was cozy, and overall the room was quiet despite being there over the New Year holiday. The Chinese dinner box was pretty good, and the 16th floor breakfast buffet has both an amazing view and a delicious buffet. It's quite Japanese-themed, but has enough western food variety to make trying it more than once during the trip possible.

JR長野駅からすぐの場所にあり雨天時は地下通路が使えるので傘いらずです。東急百貨店や駅ビルも隣接、すぐ隣に農協の売店もあり地元のリンゴや野菜を安く変えました。部屋は明るくて広く清潔感があり、駅前にもかかわらず静かで快適でした。朝食が品数が多く味付けもよく美味しくいただきました。全国旅行割の活用でお得に宿泊できましたが、次回も長野での宿泊ならここを選びたいと思います。

One of two former Sunroute hotels, one either side of Nagano station, both where we have stayed on previous visits. This has become a Sotetsu Fresa Inn, the other the Courtland. A couple of minutes walk from the station, and directly above a convenience store and with several restaurants very near the hotel, Fresa Inn is ideally located. Despite reserving months in advance, we were very disappointed to find that we had been allocated a smoking room on the 6th floor, directly above reception on the 5th floor. As two former smokers, we find the acrid stench of stale cigarette smoke extremely unpleasant. We asked for a non smoking room but none was available. The portable aircon/air freshener did not succeed in clearing the unpleasant odour. The room was reasonable in size, with good facilities and the buffet breakfast was very good, though the slowness of the two toasters was a bit annoying. Good hotel in general, but unfortunate in receiving a smoking room, at the front of the hotel, on the lowest floor, subject to noise from the street below.
