Hotel berhampiran NANTES RAILWAY STATION, Nantes

Very nice staff, pretty hotel, right across from the gare and tram, around the corner from the castle and old town center. Those are the “goods”. However, we were given family room 111 which faces the street. The air conditioning was not working well, and when we opened the windows, there was the sound of the train, people fighting, or couples. We asked to have the air fixed but were just as uncomfortable the second night. The “rooms” are separated by sliding bamboo curtains, which made it impossible to sleep until the last person went to bed. Breakfast was very sp**** at the €14 per person charge. But reception staff was impeccably nice. I think we would choose a real hotel with real beds and real doors next time.

This hotel is in a fabulous location. Bars, restaurants and shops all nearby. However the staff are not of the same quality. Our room had a bath but the plug did not work and so the water just drained out as fast as it came out of the taps. The device on the side of the bath was broken and thus the plug was useless. I mentioned to the girl on reception that there was a problem with the bath and it needed fixing. She told me she would get it fixed. Nobody arrived to fix it that day so I explained the situation to another girl the following day. Again nothing happened. Both girls were not interested and ghisvreflects very poorly on the hotel and the Mercure group in general.

Excellent surprise for this hotel conveniently located between Nantes city center and on the way to the airport if catching a plane. I booked a one-night stay (04th - 05th December 2021) also based on the positive reviews read on Google and ***********. My stay in room 304 was extremely pleasant as the room is perfectly located on the courtyard, providing a quiet surrounding. The room itself is big and I was particularly impressed by its cleanliness. Furthermore, check in and check out at reception was very smooth and handled professionally. Talking to the reception team, it is obvious they genuinely like their job in the hospitality business. Their commitment, all the more resounding in this time of uncertainty, is pleasant and warm to witness. Next time in Nantes, I have found my preferred hotel :-)

Was an overall good experience. Didn’t have any notable problems with the service, and the room was clean. I went out to Nantes for the afternoon and the bedsheets and towels had been changed. The location isn’t the best but not horrific either. There is a boat that you can get to cross the river to the city centre of Nantes and only costs €1.70 and just takes over 5 minutes to walk over there, with the ticket valid for other public transport in the city.

Bien situé par rapport aux axes de circulation sud est de Nantes.bon accueil plein de bonne humeur.propreté des lieux excellente.isolation phonique et énergétique de la porte d entrée à envisager sans doute pour que tout soit parfait.

Beaucoup trop bruyant. Pub à proximité des chambres (avec musique à fond jusqu’à 2h du matin en semaine). Clients de l’hôtel irrespectueux. La nuit: hurlements, disputes, conversation téléphonique nocturne peu discrète, coups dans les murs et les portes etc. J’y ai passé deux nuits lors d’un déplacement professionnel. Accueil mitigé selon le personnel présent. Chambre, WC et douche propre.

Points positifs, les chambres familiales, très pratiques sur les familles. Le parking privé. J’ai aussi apprécié la douche qui offrait une pression suffisante. La situation de l’hôtel est très pratique, accès au tram, proche périphérique. Points négatifs : problème à l’accueil lors de la remise des cartes pour accéder aux chambres, il manquait une chambre. La personne de l’accueil nous attribue la chambre manquante mais impossible de l’ouvrir, puis finalement impossible d’ouvrir toutes celles dispos à l’étage. Mais elle fait le nécessaire pour nous en attribuer une située à un autre étage. La propreté des chambres seraient à revoir, surtout les moquettes… Le lit de la chambre double que nous occupions était inconfortable, impossible de se tourner sans qu’il ne craque. Et je terminerai par ce qui m’a fortement déplu, la vaisselle et les couverts mis à disposition lors du petit déjeuner étaient sales +++. Aussi, il faudrait remettre à disposition certains aliments car les personnes qui sont arrivées après nous par exemple n’avaient plus autant de choix que lorsque nous sommes passés. Un séjour correct mais seulement pour y passer 1 nuit.

At first we were hesitant as it was far from town, we had no car and had to rely on cabs. You can see that a lot of work has gone into updating the rooms and communal area. They didn’t speak a lot of English so information sharing was hard . Until we met a guy called Juliane , he was very helpful and used an app to translate our conversations. He was helpful and friendly , he was a credit to the company and we thank you for you help.

I absolutely would not recommend this hotel for anyone! We stayed at this hotel recently and were disgusted with the conditions! The rooms were dirty, the bathrooms grout was yellow and dirty with poo on the wall next to toilet. After a long travel and 44 degree heat when we checked in the hotel took 300 euros from our card, in their words to pay for ”damages”. I disputed this as I didn't agree with such a large amount being taken for a security deposit. They told me it would be refunded on check out and the receptionist was rude and did not care. This amount was not for charges to the room as when I checked out I had to pay for a coffee and taxes separate on top of the deposit! When we checked out they would not refund the money and I had to stand and argue with the rude reception staff for 30 minutes before they would refund in front of me. When we went to the room, the air con was broken and the thermostat to change the temperature was damaged with all the buttons broken out. If they are taking £300 for damages this should have been fixed and the room should not have been allowed to have people stay in it. When I complained they took about 3 hours to change our room and then instead of giving me the keys gave the keys to my son who had no idea what was happening so didn't tell me about it! I questioned them as to why they were giving the keys to a child and not an adult and they were rude and did not care. When we moved rooms the room was dirty too and there was an ant infestation. All night and the next morning we were killing ants and found them crawling over our clothes and belongings and then found ant powder all over the floor. clearing the hotel has an ant infestation that they already know about so we shouldn't have been put in that room and also I then had to keep my1 year old baby away from the dangerous chemicals! This is disgusting and the hotel should be removed from sale!!

Lovely and wide with good pressure Comfortable beds ( had singles) Quiet room despite airport near bye Elevator Garden setting Cons: Outdated sad with minimum furniture ( perhaps we had the non yet updated room) A towel was found in my bed however it was clean towel but let me a bit unsettled. I brought it to the reception the next day for them to handle this or add it back to their towels count as we had all our towels accounted for. The staff was surprised. They later sent an email apologizing Breakfast price outrageous ( even for France so we did not get it) Reminds me of a better motel 6 A bit pricey for what is given The sister hotel next door is lovely but outrageous for dinner or a drink in a gorgeous lobby Overall clean enough and good location for one night no more Small room ( very ) Would return for an early departure from airport
