Ulasan Opera House Hotel

The room was fantastic – spotless, elegantly decorated with high ceilings, giving it a classic, old-money vibe. Breakfast was also quite good. Its location is super convenient, just a minute or two from the subway station. The only downside is the Bronx itself; it feels a bit rough around the edges, like a mixed urban-rural area. Because of that, I ended up speed-walking from the subway to the hotel every day and didn't explore the neighborhood much, as there were a lot of peculiar characters wandering around.

I had a pleasant stay from 28-31 May 2026. Shout out to the receptionist who walked with me to the store to get the item I need in the store! I enjoy the breakfast, the toasts and croissants are delicious. Despite its location in South Bronx ( as a solo female traveler and I was a little bit scared to walk on the street in the evening ), I really enjoy the vibe and everything!

The accomodation was comfortable and the staff are very nice. Bed and restroom is clean.

The area outside the hotel is quite unsettling, with beggars, trash scattered everywhere, and people who seem intimidating, almost like gang members. As for the rooms, there are no hooks or hangers in the bathroom, which forced me to hang my towel on the door handle. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The hotel's decor and ambiance were quite nice. However, the air conditioning in the room we stayed in was extremely loud, making it impossible to sleep. We contacted the front desk, and they promptly moved us to another room. Their service was excellent.

Quite close to the metro station, also close location to Manhattan for the price. Taxi ride from the hotel to downtown Manhattan was only $36. Inside cleanliness was ok nothing to complain about and staff was very friendly.

The environment is pretty good.
