My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for several days. We would like to give five gold stars to Mr. Willie Howard at the front desk for always going beyond the call of duty and providing outstanding customer service for us. Every time we come down to the lobby Willie always greet us with kindness. No matter how busy he is, he always makes time to talk to us. My husband is very ill with stage four Cancer. Willie always knows what to say to motivate him and also encourages him to exercise. Also there are many times he has jokes for us. We always go back to our room laughing. Willie Howard is a major asset to all guests at this hotel. Please tell him we wish him continued success. In addition we will also share our experience with our friends and family. The Voco The Franklin New York was a great choice. The location is awesome, the bed was the highest point (really comfortable) and the staff always helpful and friendly. We hope to come back soon.

My family of five (two teens and a pre-teen) came to Manhattan for Spring Break. Finding relatively spacious accommodations for five people was a bit of a challenge, but came across The Gardens and booked it without difficulties a few months before this week. The Gardens is to the east of Central Park in Lennox Hill. We really liked the location, which was away from the craziness of the Theatre District, and was a convenient half a block away from the Lexington/63rd subway station. Central Park was also very easy to access. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room up on the sixth floor with two queen beds and a sofa-style pullout for our fifth person. The room was quite spacious, and had a kitchenette - very handy for buying some snacks from the Morton Williams supermarket across the street from the subway access. The room was clean but could use a bit of freshening. The blackout blinds were fantastic for keeping our room dark, and our family kept on an MST schedule for our holiday. The limiting factor for a group our size was the bathroom, which was very small. The hotel was nice and quiet for how busy it seemed to be. Overall a nice stay, The Gardens was a great base of operations for giving our kids a NYC experience.

Over the years we have stayed in a number of 5* hotels in NYC. Finally we have found what we were looking for. 1. Extremely friendly staff from the moment you step out of your car. 2. Concierge team that went out of their way to arrange private guides, transport, wheelchairs, dinner reservations, airport transport and the like. 3. Lively bar and a nice restaurant. 4. Comfortable room and a twin basin bathroom with the best hotel shower I ever had! Luxury towels. Bed was perfect and the bar well stocked with drinks and snacks. 5. The hotel's hotdog stand outside the entrance is a treat. 6. Excellent turndown service. Lastly, this hotel feels like home and is highly recommended.

Loews has very comfortable and clean rooms and a friendly and welcoming staff like no other in New York City. The hotel truly offers a home-away-from home experience with very friendly service throughout the hotel. The Regency Bar & Grill offers excellent food in a light and enjoyable setting with fantastic service. The gym is nicely equipped and a good size, with location near Central Park a plus. I return as often as I can when in the city. Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar which operates adjacent to the hotel is great venue for coffee, and wonderfully crafted snacks, breakfast fare and pastries.

We had two amazing stays at the Pierre. Early and late May 2023. What an amazing hotel. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The standout person and star of the Pierre is Ana Pavloska. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best rooms and looked after us from the moment we checked in until we departed. We will certainly be returning to this wonderful NYC sanctuary. Classy Manhattan establishment. Room and service were exceptional. Could not be in a better location. Received first class treatment from the staff. A lot of character. Would go back in a heartbeat. Kudos to Jacquline Acosta for taking great care of us.

This is my third review of The Carlyle over the years (across probably 25 stays), and, sadly, the first one where I didn't feel I could give the hotel five stars. Although this is specifically about a stay in November 2022, it relates more generally to the renovated rooms at The Carlyle -- and here, the 11/22 stay was our third in a renovated room. Two were in Superior Suites, and one was in a Rosewood Suite. First, the good: The service continues to terrific, and greetings from the staff are genuine and caring. Across the board, when I raised an issue, someone tried to make things better. Housekeeping did not miss a beat. The bedding and linens are top notch. I found the beds in all three rooms terrific. And, the renovations fixed what had been a tendency for the HVAC to be spotty, depending on the room. The renovated systems worked flawlessly. And, the rooms are quiet -- no street noise or noise from adjoining rooms. In the Superior Suites, the bathrooms are small. In one of the two we stayed in, we had a half bath, which made things a bit better. But, if you want a big bathroom, then look elsewhere. I find the baths adequate, and the showers delightful (as they have been across 30 years). Now, the not so good: The lighting the renovated rooms is atrocious. In the living rooms of all three suites, there wasn't enough light to read in the evening, other than in the one chair that they equipped with a reading light. The desk lamp -- while stylish -- gives off about the equivalent of a 40 watt light bulb. Who does that? There are wall mounted sconces -- with the equivalent of 15 watt bulbs in them. One room had a ceiling unit that had 3 bulbs with the equivalent of 40 watt bulbs. Why? The traditional Carlyle had great lighting -- three way bulbs with up to 150 watts in total in each of 3 or 4 lamps in the room. In this version, I feel depressed in the rooms in the evening. And then there's the bedroom. While there are lamps on the end tables next to the bed, they are on one switch. Either both are on, or neither. Why? Why not have them separately switched? There's a spot-like reading light on each side of the bed -- but that's a poor substitute from the warmth of the bedside table light. Why would anyone design a hotel room this way? I suppose if all one does in a hotel room is look at one's phone or computer, or watch TV, the lighting will suffice. But if you want to read? Forget it. And then you get to storage. In each of the three suites there was no storage at all for your things (I've seen reviews that show some rooms having dressers). Each of the living room and bedroom had shelving, but the room designers filled the shelves with design stuff that serves no purpose, leaving those unavailable to the guest. Even the closets lack usable shelving, other than a high shelf above the hanging clothes. The old Carlyle rooms had vast amounts of storage space in large dressers. It's almost as if the room design

The first thing I will mention is that the hotel is 5 star and is expectedly, very expensive, being in the heart of Times Square. I took this into account when writing my review. If I am paying that much, my expectations would be higher than normal. I stayed for 12 nights over the Christmas and NY period so I obtained a very comprehensive view of the hotel and everything about it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the staff were always there to attend to any requests and issues. The moment I got out of my transfer car, there was a lovely young gentleman waiting to get all my bags and transport me upstairs to the reception. The check-in was reasonably flawless but there was a bit of confusion around the payment because of resort fees the hotel charges daily. I prepaid my booking and there was confusion over whether it included or excluded the resort fee. The reception area is immaculately presented and the bar and restaurant are both located here. I intended to use the gym during my stay, but didn't have time to even take a peek. Nor did I visit the bar or restaurant. There's way too many options outside to do that. The very polite and courteous young gentleman then took me up to my room. He showed me everything and away he went. I got a bit of a room upgrade which I highly appreciated and had a beautiful view of Times Square. I was on the 2nd highest floor, floor 39. The room is not big. It was adequate for one person but nothing more. I don't think I would be able to stay here if I was with another person. It would be too uncomfortable and I had to find space for my 2 suitcases and carry-on. The bathroom is open plan, with a door for the shower and toilet. A big problem I had in my room was that if it was windy you will hear a loud whistle coming through the bottom of the front door. It really annoyed me. I had to take the cover off the bed and make a snake shape to block the gap underneath the door to stop the noise. Even a bath towel didn't work. They need to fix this. The hotel is very new and the rooms are very beautifully equipped, presented and maintained. I was pleased to see that most of the things I requested before I arrived (some extra bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, mini fridge, bathroom scale) were mostly there upon arrival. I quantified the number of towels I needed as I was not getting any housekeeping during my 12 night stay but I did not get the quantity requested. I expected a bit more attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Before I arrived I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion and Guest Services pushed up my expectations as I was celebrating a special occassion and they said something nice, I assume maybe a cake or some alcohol would be waiting for me in the room. When I arrived there was nothing. And there was never going to be anything throughout my stay. I didn't mind and only remembered towards the end of the stay. When I enquired via email I was met with silence. They
