Hotel berhampiran Quai Rauba Capeu, Nice

My partner and i were there for 2 days. The location is very good. Other than this the hotel has very basic amenities, the hotel rooms are small and not in good condition. The shower is over the bath and the space is small. An old style of shower. There is no room service to order meals to your room so you have to be out to get something to eat. Upon arrival i asked the girl at the reception desk to freeze my icepack for my medication. When we checked out she gave me a completey thawed and soft icepack. When i asked her why it wasn't frozen, she literally just shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know. She didn't care that i was travelling with medication and that i had carefully explained to her when we checked in why i needed the icepack frozen. She didn't apologise either, was completely non-chalant despite the fact that i was clearly upset and anxious about my meds that i had to take on a flight with me. Her colleague then offered to run to the pharmacy to buy me a icepack. We expected a better quality stay and a better hotel experience but we were dissapointed. I would not recommend this hotel especially to older couples. We would rather pay more for a more comfortable stay. Tanya G South Africa

La ubicación es excelente y la habitación que nos tocó era espaciosa y cómoda, pero sumamente ruidosa: estaba en el primer piso y no tenía cortinas: sólo tenía black-out, es decir, que teníamos dos opciones: o estar sin luz natural o exponernos a la mirada de vecinos y transeúntes. El baño, si bien era antiguo, estaba limpio, pero no tiene enchufes y no ponen amenities. La puerta de la habitación no tiene traba y el wifi no es bueno y es incompatible con los Iphone, inconcebible hoy en día, en que una gran parte de los pasajeros tienen Iphone. Y lo peor al respecto fue la pésima atención de la recepcionista que estaba cuando llegamos al hotel el sábado 8 de abril por la mañana, quien cuando le pedimos ayuda para conectarnos nos respondió a la defensiva y de modo grosero y mostró muy poca predisposición para ayudarnos, pero terminó reconociendo que la red que ofrece el hotel no es segura y, por lo tanto, no es compatible con los Iphone. Así que si tienes un Iphone, este hotel es la peor elección. Y un último detalle, no menor: el hotel no respetó las normas de la plataforma Booking, a través de la cual hice la reserva (cancelable y sin pago anticipado), según la cual tenía tiempo hasta el 5 de abril a las 23:59 hs. para cancelar la reserva. Sin embargo, dos días antes, el hotel hizo efectivo el pago. En conclusión, mi experiencia con este hotel no fue buena. Por el mismo precio, hay muchos otros hoteles bien ubicados y que ofrecen mejor servicio.

We had a brilliant stay here, just after New Year. It was comparatively warm weather and we had come down from Paris slowly taking a bit more than a week to reach the Riviera. Nice was still dressed for Christmas and we wanted to be walking distance from the old Town. This is a very nicely done hotel in a heritage building, so the typical tiny old fashioned lift. Big bedrooms and bathrooms, and 2 minutes walk to the central plaza. Parking is in a separate building a block - and 2 minutes - away so convenient enough not to be a problem. Excellent staff, spotlessly clean rooms and crisp linens. A lovely spot place to spend some time.

We arrived slightly early but they let us in a room that had been finished. It was the room just at the top of the first flight of stairs after the reception it was ok clean and small, the bathroom was tiny and the toilet you had to sit on sideways, I think it was put in wrong and it also had hot water, the cistern was warm. The breakfast was ok not brilliant but we managed to have a couple of things. But we weren't staying all day in the hotel so it was fine for location and price, I found it funny to be given ear plugs but it was noisy, especially when the bin men came round at midnight and somebody used the old lift slamming the door. also we had no fridge and no little milk sachets so I had to keep going down for milk if I wanted a brew, thankfully we took our own coffee etc.

Don’t stay at this hotel if you want to get some rest. There is a restaurant downstairs so people will be coming after midnight and talking loudly. You will be hearing cars throughout the night. In terms of cleanliness it was ok. The room was a bit small. Not the worst place to stay for the price. Just a bit loud.

I am currently staying a that the Holiday Inn Nice in order to make an early flight tomorrow. I chose this location for one night only for the convenience to the airport. However, as a self-proclaimed 4-star resort, I am very, very disappointed. I arrived at 1430 (check in is at 1500) and was told my room was not ready. Fine, I am early. I am happy to wait for 30 minutes. The front desk agent told me he would call me when it’s ready if I wanted to enjoy the area. I agreed. However, at 1600, no call so I decided to walk back. As I enter I see the agent leaving the hotel in street clothes—no call. I asked the new agent about my room and he had no idea he was to call me. He called housekeeping to verify if my room was ready and again, STILL not ready! I was asked to wait in the lobby until it was ready. If check in is at 1500, the room should be ready at 1500. I received no apology for their error. I reserved a Premium Queen Seaview at a cost of 400 Euros/night. The room is frankly gross. There are long hairs in the shower (I’m bald—not me!), mold growing around the tub, stains on the walls, and stains on the furnishings. I wish I could find a more profound way of describing the hotel other than gross, but I cannot. See my attached photos of the actual room. The lobby is deceiving. You walk into a remodeled, modern space and think , “nice, this will be a good stay.” But beware, as soon as you enter your room, it all goes downhill. Not only is the room gross, but there is not a coffee maker in the room, the shower products are empty, and they do not provide any lotion. Additionally for a 4-star resort, I would expect something more than paper cups in the room (glass cups and a wine opener, perhaps?). The hotel markets having a free airport shuttle. However, the shuttle does not run convenient to flight departures, so I have to pay 40 euros for a 4 minute ride to the airport. Again, disappointing. Lastly, the hotel provides free access to the Bay Star Beach Club (owned by the hotel it seems). I was excited to check out the beach on my last night in France. However, the beach club is very small with extremely dated (and dirty) furniture. Smoking was supposedly not allowed, but guests were smoking everywhere and staff did not interject. The provided towels have holes and are stained. It was very unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel is ANYONE! There are many more hotels by the airport at 50% less cost. Avoid at all costs!

What a Pity!!! I am not usual to leave reviews. Me and my wife have the fortune to visit best places and hotels all over the world. But in this case I feel I have to do it. It is very easy to say this is one of the best location in the world, iconic, historic a reach of glamour same think for the facilities. Yes it needs to be restored, windows are hold and ruined and when you spend 5.000 euro per night and your outstanding view through the window is opaque because they are hold and impossible to clean I think this is an issue. But the strong delusion come from the total below standard for a four season of the general level of service: 1. Poor set up of the rooms Amenities for the bathroom, not in line no with other hotel like Bristol Paris, Park Hyatt, Rocco Forte or what I consider the top in this Moment in French Riviera chateau de la Mesardiere a St.Tropez.,but maybe for a normal 4 stars hotel. 2. My wife ask for an hair Straightener like she uses to do in such hotels like this, no way to have it complimentary (belmond, Rocco Forte, doucherster is now a standard when you spend half price … 3. Shuttle service from 9 to 7 pm. With a Mercedes uncleaned V. We wanna talk about of the 5 Tesla of the breakers @Palm Beach or the 4 Rolls Royce Culmigham @ Le Mesardiere a total disposal for customers h24. Four Seassom Kyoto (one of the best in the world 5 years ago had a Bentley) 4 other minor (maybe) issue that I don’t want to mention for space reasons. Details which make the difference at this level and is what your are looking for. I had the opportunity to talk to Mr Camerana head of Marketing, he said ok I see, I understand you probably right but at the end…after two nights I paid my bill for total approx 11.000 euro with just 400 euro of extras. I didn’t pretend anything but is seems like no one cared of my complaints. So beautiful location (the only think it is worth to pay today if u never been there), facilities to be renovated and level of service below standard. Having breakfast or dinner (in this case five star top) under the secolary pine woods worth the experience. Lorenzo Guidotti

Hotel molto bello con ottimi servizi. Pulizia da curare un po’ di piu’. Buono stato delle camere, ben dotate. Colazione continentale adeguata e varia personale poco attento e cordiale. Eccellente il personale del servizio parking

Muniti di wifi gli appartamenti sono molto carini con cucina piccola e munita del necessario. Alla reception il personale molto accogliente cordiale e risponde a tutte le esigenze del cliente e munisce al check in di tutte le info necessarie per il soggiorno.
