Rainha Santa Isabel - Óbidos History Hotel

Let's start with the positives: Perfect Location within the castle walls. Large room for a family of 4. Beds were super comfortable. Price was reasonable compared to the other options. The lady over the phone was super nice and gave us a small fridge to keep our kids snacks fresh. Now the reason for the 1 star: The AC in the room did not work. It was a stand AC with the hose pipe attached to the back of the unit from the outside wall. That pipe was overheating and was counter acting the effect of the AC. So the room was DREADFULLY stuffy, hot and smelled of bad humidity. The gentleman downstairs gave us a fan, but didn't even care about the malfunctioning AC or why it wasn't actually working. The rooms were so dusty and dingy and the 2 glasses left in the bathroom were dirty - one of them even had lip marks from a previous guest! In the morning during breakfast, most of the eating utensils looked like they had been used and not washed. They still had food on them and marks of being used by previous guests. Like they literally just didn't use soap or a sponge!! I had to wipe them all down with the alcohol pads I happen to always carry in my purse! The food had flies all over it. It was pretty gross. The worst part is that we left that place with BED BUGS. The next morning, my husband and daughter had bites all over their skin! I would never stay here again! Thank goodness it was only one night. The only thing that saves this hotel is it's perfect location. Waking up in the morning and being able to walk around without all the people was great. We found free parking JUST outside of the castle walls. You can't park your call within the walls, but the HUGE large parking outside was perfect. I would 100% choose a different space if I were to ever go to Obidos again. I'd rather pay more and not stay in such a dirty, dingy place.

EXCELENTE UBICACIÓN EN UNA CASA SEÑORIAL RESTAURADA PARA LA CAUSA. BIEN AISLADO A PESAR DE ESTAR EN LA CALLE PRINCIPAL. BUENAS CAMAS Y LIMPIEZA Un poco desagradable la recepcionista . El desayuno a pesar de estar incluido en el precio resuta un poco escaso y repetitivo

WiFi ranged from horrible to non existent. Rooms were clean and basic with nice historical tidbits available (I was in the Maiden Room). Size was bigger than most European hotel rooms. Location is fabulous. Breakfast was heavy on bread products but fine by my standards. I looked the automatic lights.

Posizione fantastica nella via centrale di Obidos, ti permette di godere della città quando si svuota dai turisti. Tutto il resto sarebbe da rivedere: camere grandi ma da rimodernare, colazione mediocre e pulizia che lascia molto a desiderare... Nel complesso per una notte è ok se non si hanno molte pretese.

La casa de los horrores,no le puntúo en negativo xq no puedo.Pasamos una sola noche y horrible es poco.. Primero, presumen de q tienen párking y es mentira,te mandan a una explanada de tierra a 500 metros del hotel,con lo q subir con maletas por calles empedradas es de todo menos cómodo.Llegamos al hotel y no funciona el ascensor y no tienen la decencia ni de ayudarte a subir las maletas,huele a viejo y humedad por todas partes,la habitación con un ventanuco al ras del suelo donde veíamos los pies de la gente de la calle,sin aire acondicionado,el lavabo perdiendo agua,la puerta no se puede cerrar por dentro, insonorización nula,el desayuno buffet... Había más moscas volando q surtido de productos....En fin..Una MIER....COMO UNA CATEDRAL DE GRANDE

... albergaria bastante agradável e acolhedora, o quarto onde ficamos acomodados era confortável. O pequeno almoço podia ter mais variedade mas o que tinha á nossa disposição era muito bom e fresco. A localização perto do castelo tb é uma mais valia...
