Mukarnas Resort And Spa Hotel Okurcalar 850043745 On first initial impression this hotel is lovely, impressive reception area, rooms ok & surrounding gardens very nice. The majority of staff are extremely helpful & friendly, one lady in particular in the snack bar on a dinnertime was extremely helpful & always friendly, the waiter in the main reception bar was great, always making sure we had a drink to hand, also the lady who booked us in for the al’carte evening, she was very attentive & nothing seemed a bother to her, (sorry didn’t get any of their names) however the “customer relations’ lady Valentyna Pikalova I found to be quite rude & unhelpful when we did approach her for some advice on places to visit & how to get to them, i.e by taxis or bus etc she was quite dismissive. The al’carte restaurant is an extra cost per person, however worth paying for, we paid for the Italian night & the food was really good & so many courses & a welcome change from the bustle of the main dinning hall. If you do want to go out anywhere you are quite far away from any Main town, although there is a bazzar a short taxi ride away, which has a lovely restaurant called The Palm, lovely food & great cocktails, it’s worth a visit. 2 days into our holiday we all started suffering with stomach cramps, sickness & diarrhoea (we were a party of 11) & everyone one of us fell ill at some point. This is still ongoing for some us even when we got home. We didn’t find out till our last day that the majority of guests were also suffering with the same thing, it seems the hotel are aware of this bug & it’s been in the hotel for quite some time, but prefer to deny it or cover it up, yes they do have hand sanitizer when you enter the dinning hall & snack bar, but not everyone uses it, food was being spilt on the floor & not cleaned up properly. This hotel is lovely if you can avoid the sickness & diarrhoea bug.
