This hotel is absolutely beautiful & the staff were great! We stayed in a Double Room Sea View (breakfast included). The room was clean, had welcome refreshments and the view was amazing. Sleeping to the sound of the ocean was all I wanted. Breakfast had different options; same thing everyday but different options so you don’t have to eat the same thing everyday- I genuinely don’t get what some reviews are complaining about. I came with my husband and 9month baby. High chairs were made available at breakfast and restaurants. Cot was already made up when we got to the hotel. & they had a colouring set left out which was a cute touch. Staff was kind to us and our baby.. Tbh everyone, even the guests were kind to us. Husband uses crutches & he thought the hotels facility’s were accessible. There’s lifts & ramps which is good for people with buggies or disability. We came to celebrate my 30th & the hotel had prepared a lovely surprise when we got back in from our lunch. The overall service we received was great. Faro Airport is €24 & Old town €5 Euros by Uber. Rides were pretty cheap! We didn’t have a car seat but we found out that if you had a baby carrier then you could get into the Uber. The only thing is we came early March & the weather was just starting to get warm so we had some rainy days. But would definitely return again and recommend this place. If you’re thinking of booking it , I recommend Sea View & at least breakfast included.

3/5 Lovely resort but pools all freezing. If you are going with children it is highly unlikely they will want to go near the water. This affects the holiday and it’s sad the kids can’t get into the water. They should heat one pool outside. The indoor pool is also cold! As it was quiet they closed most of the restaurants so most of the guests were herded into 2 restaurants each night. This made it feel crowded but you could access all the facilities. They only open all the restaurants in July and August. So although they advertise the gourmet restaurants most of the year you can’t eat at them. The cleaners in the room were fantastic and our 2 bed apartments was very spacious and opened up directly onto the ocean suites pool which was nice. There was no entertainment in the evenings so it was very quiet once the sunset. It would have been nice to have one of the bars with a singer or a band in the evenings.

The Garden Suites are the newest rooms at Pine Cliffs and they are stunning! We previously stayed at the Pine Cliffs Hotel in 2019, and we can’t fault it, it was lovely but the Garden suites are so luxurious and modern!! The beds are so comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped with plates, cutlery, cups etc and if you are self catering there is a FABULOUS supermarket just around a 5 minute walk from the Garden suites. The pool is lovely, and is often fairly quiet because the Garden suites are towards the back of the resort. It’s about a 10 minute walk to breakfast, which is no problem, it’s a lovely walk, and you get to see a lot of the resorts (including some adorable cats). Everything is clean!!! The cleaners are fabulous and so kind!! We are returning in a few weeks, for the 3rd time in the past year, what can I say, we LOVE IT! The balconies are a lovely size, we were absolutely blessed last time with 2 MASSIVE balconies, can’t even explain how amazing it was to sit on them after dinner and play a game of UNO with the family!! Best resort, fully worth of its 5 stars!!

Our second time in the Algarve and so pleased to have stayed at the pretty Pine Cliffs - think comfort in splendid surroundings. The Ocean Suites are very well designed for privacy and functionality. The kitchen and living room are so gorgeous and perfectly equipped (there is everything you need). So we opt out of breakfast, as it was very easy and only a short morning walk to the nearest shops for fruits and snacks for the children. There is a pool a few steps away from your Ocean Suite. If you stay at the OS you have free access to the spa which is lovely too. We prefer the sea though - and Praia da Falesia is absolutely stunning - it reminded me of Brazil with fun waves and golden sands. In February the sea is cold ( and so clean!) but not a problem for us as we are big fans of cold water. Just wished they had more options on their Beach Restaurant bar menu. The walk to the beach is easy offering a beautiful view of the falesias. My recommendation is to read the website to understand the difference between the residence/Ocean suites and the hotel. The resort has plenty to offer in an elegant relaxing way and their service was really good. You know when you arrive at your hotel room for the first day and everything is spotted on? Everyday, the cleaners were so good that it felt like we had just arrived - the bed, bathroom, kitchen everywhere was organised as if it was our first day there. We dined at the Pescador most of the nights and the food was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We ventured out to Olhos d'agua once but most restaurants are closed in February. We hope to come back next year. Have a good season!

Stayed here this week, 3 adults and 2 children under 10. Was so worried when reading previous reviews. How wrong I was to. It really is amazing. We stayed in a newly renovated 2 bedroom apar**ent. Spotlessly clean on arrival and cleaned every day with lovely cleaners who were so friendly. Pool area quiet and peaceful. The walk right next to the beach was just perfect. Would recommend anyone staying here. Area was quiet with a 10-15 minute ride to albufeira old town costing around £7 in a Uber. Please take other reviews with a pinch of salt. Would come back in a heart beat. Had no issues at all.

So first of all I would like to say that my experience with the hotel was not horrible, unfortunately it was my experience with the European families that swarm to this hotel. It's not for the faint of heart. It was my experience that NONE of the parents ever stopped their children from screeching while at the pool. I'm a parent, I don't hate kids. But when the kids ring your doorbell or bang on your door at 2am 3 nights in a row and the parents do nothing??? I have a problem with the hotel not addressing our concerns. The room was satisfactory, the bed was decent and the cleaning staff was attentive. It's NOT a hotel for couples who would like to relax. There is a restaurant in this hotel and the Maria Luisa beach is walking distance away. I will never come back though. VRBO for me in the future if I'm ever coming back to any European country. Sorry folks but European parents do not handle their kids properly.

Super holiday! We have just spent 10days on half board here at the Porto bay Falesia. We had a fantastic time. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, bending over backwards to make the experience all the more pleasurable. We stayed in a sea view room on the 3rd floor and it was amazing! Great size room with lovely bathroom and rituals products. Cleaning staff were so lovely and kept our room spruced up throughout our stay. The food was really good. The selection was so good, always something for everyone, I prefer fish and my husband prefers meat and neither were disappointed. We also had a meal at il basilica which was great. We spent most of the week relaxing by the pool or on the beach and walking. The pool area is perfect for reading a book, plenty of loungers. The beach is accessed by around 120 steps which we loved but I can see they may be an issue if not so mobile or able. The beach is incredible! We walked to vila moura which took around 2 hours, had lunch and walked back. There was also a lovely walk along the cliff top in the other direction going via the town of olhos de agua. This walk was spectacular! It takes you all the way to Maria Luisa beach via a restaurant on the beach called passaro azul ( definitely worth a visit). We spent a morning at the indoor pool, sauna and steam room which was nice as it was raining outside. My husband also used the gym which was adequate. The town is sweet with a selection of restaurants and shops plus a small supermarket for supplies! All in all we had a fantastic 10days and will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a great holiday!

The Alfagar village exceeded our expectations. The gardens are beautiful. The pool areas are spotless with an army of cleaners early every morning. The children’s pool with water slides was perfect for our 4 year old granddaughter. There are quieter areas too. We especially liked the Cafeteria to enjoy a sangria (or two) after the more hectic children’s pool. Yes the water is cold, but this is not unusual in resorts. We found the staff in all areas to be pleasant and helpful. The one bed apartments were more spacious than expected, with lovely garden views and sea glimpses. The half board option suited our family. Very varied choice at breakfast and dinner to suit all ages. Staff very attentive. A very enjoyable 5 day stay.

Local lindo, infraestrutura bacana. Porém, os apartamentos....um grande problema. Problemas: 1) ar condicionado: painéis na parede, nada de controle remoto. Falham o tempo todo e não possuem controle de velocidade, sendo as opções existentes ”desligado” ou, ”potencia máxima”. Porém, potencia máxima é muito barulhento, impossível dormir. E delisgado....nem precisa comentar; 2) wifi: sinal super fraco, e conexão cai o tempo todo. Há uma opção de wifi paga, acho que o ”já incluso” existe justamente para empurrar a contratação do pago. Péssimo. 3) Primeiro apto contratado via airbnb que chego após dezenas e dezenas em diferentes países, que não tinha uma bucha de lavar louca e um detergente. Ao consultar, disseram ”você pode ir ao mini market comprar”. Há um mini market dentro do local, e eu fui lá comprar várias coisas, mas deixar uma bucha e um detergente, especialmente em nosso caso que chegamos de viageme acabamos dormindo com uma pilha de louça suja, só para empurrar a venda no mini market, seria algo básico e gentil. Considerações importantes: 1) Falésias: devido a geologia do local, o acesso a praia se dá por longas escadas devido as falésias.Se alguém tiver restrição de mobilidade, questões de idade, etc, será um grande problemas. 2) apartamento: ficamos em um localizado no terceiro andar. Os prédios não tem elevadores, então vale a mesma ressalva referente a restrições de mobilidade; Não se trata de um ”resort”. Se trata sim de um conjunto de prédios, beira-mar, muito agradável, com várias piscinas. Um resort contém diversas atrações, opções de lazer, etc, não é o caso. Por fim: funcionários. Um jovem nos atendeu super bem humorado e prestativo na chegada. Forneceu todas as informações e tudo mais. Sua chefe/supervisora no local no momento o corta e diz ”não, está tudo errado, e desculpe, ele é apena sum estagiário”. Super desgradável, e ao final, vimos que as informações fornecidas por ele estavam corretas, complicado o drive dado pela empresas aos funcionários ao se observar esta atitude. Claramente a prorpiedade tem sérias questões de managemente a se observar.
