Edgewater Dive and Spa Resort has secured a spot in the top 5 of our travel list due to its exceptional location, accommodation, and staff. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were greeted with warmth and received outstanding care. The owners, Richard and Vika, are present almost daily and display a genuine interest in their guests' well-being. Richard, being a passionate diver, provided us with valuable advice on dive spots and answered all our related questions. Thanks to him, we had incredible dives. Billy and Jun, the dive masters, took excellent care of us and introduced us to a variety of dive locations. The resort's convenient proximity to everything made our stay even more enjoyable. Speaking of accommodation, what you see is exactly what you get at Edgewater Dive and Spa Resort. We were delighted to find two spacious and clean rooms equipped with air conditioning and fans. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. Additionally, we indulged in the outdoor spa, which added to our overall relaxation. We cannot praise the hotel and restaurant staff enough. Jeff and his team made sure we never went hungry. The food was not only delicious but also served with a warm and friendly attitude. Our child especially loved the attention he received. In terms of managing expectations, it's important to note that the resort does not have a beach right on its premises. However, this was not an issue for us as they have a lovely little pool, and with only 12 rooms, it never felt crowded. It's worth mentioning that food preparation may take some time, so it's advisable to place your order ahead of time if you're in a hurry. The resort's slightly secluded location was something we appreciated, as it provided a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Despite this, the hotel staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as effortless and convenient as possible. They are more than willing to assist with booking boats for beach tours, arranging tuktuks, or any other transportation needs. We enjoyed our stay at Edgewater Dive and Spa Resort so much that we have already made plans for our next visit. I've been coming to Sabang for 15 years. I've stayed at this place more than 5 times during various visits, its now my most favorite place to stay in Sabang and White beach. things have changed since the pandemic, access and travel time, but well worth the effort. once you arrive, I don't even have to check in, I just show up and tell them which rooms I'd prefer, and its done. the rooms are large, 11, 12 and 14, my favs. their clean, good aircon, good wifi, great bathrooms and shower, warm water, TV works, has cable, viewing deck comfortable and glass slider access. food is the best I've had on the island, Mel, the chef, is great and very accommodating, he gave me my own personal access to the early morning bar to make my own brewed coffee, that'll never happen anywhere else folks, and he's a great cook. the staff is very friendly and accommodating, they speak good English, the place stays open until the visitors are finished with their entertainment. the pool is small, yet wonderful, access within walking distance from your get off taxi, but not very wheelchair friendly, not much of the PI is unfortunately, I plan to make this my only option to stay when visiting the island. I recommend calling ahead to check availability and have a back up plan because they fill up during high season. access to the island has changed a bit. Batangas seaport is your beginning and you can only arrive in PeurtoGaler, then can only take a tricycle and/or Tuktuk to get there, takes about 35 minutes, cost about 350 pesos and is better then white beach hands down. has walking distance to bars, clubs, nightlife, yet far enough away to be silent for sleeping, many scuba shops and options, its a scuba mecca, you can YouTube many themes here and you should, I can't recommend this place enough and if your on the fence, pull the trigger, its worth it. good luck and be nice.

Just spent 12 days here rooms are comfortable and were recently renovated nice bathroom. Nice space for meals and the food was very good with a large menu. Even made me some local dishes that were not offered on the menu. So the absolute highlight of this resort is the staff! Kind and so very helpful everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Fantastic value for your money already looking forward to next year.

I'd like to graciously comment that to some extent, we had a good and fulfilling stay except for an uncomfortable experience in meeting a few ”defensive” staff of Jack Daniel Apartments. I would kindly suggest that next time, please welcome your guests warmly first before telling it to their face the cost of (e.g.) extra mattress for each night, missing bath towel, etc. I think it's intimidating to confront the guests with ”this and that prices” when they have just arrived. I regret to say that some staff were defensive in their explanation. Another intimidating act was the suggestion of Ms. Jocie for us to book another room with two superior bedrooms, when our booking confirmation stated 4 adults and 4 children. It was just relieving when she finally honoured the Agoda Booking Confirmation, but not after hours of long discussions 😢. Anyhow, I wasn't very glad to pay Php 2,000. for two extra mattresses for our additional two school children; and even this amount is high. We liked the swimming pool and the gardens. The property must have seen long years but well maintained. Despite my experience with a few intimidating staff, I'd like to thank Jack Daniel Apartments.

Excellent place, small and really friendly, staff are brilliant and helpful, especially the Manager, I stayed in one of the nipper huts which had air con and was really clean. Pool is nice and hotel is right in the beach. Also next door in the frog bar they sell top quality, great homemade food . Thoroughly recommend the summer Connection .

Love this family friendly resort. Their family room is big enough for us 3 adults and 2 kids. We added an extra mattress so my mother doesn’t have to go up and down the stairs. We feel at home instantly. There was a typhoon going around in Philippines but the resort has a restaurant and shops are just a 10min-walk. The pool and dive center is just perfect! The crews are fantastic. Special thanks to Joy who helped to check our reservation, although it was paid through Trip.com. The best part is they are trying to reduce single use plastic by using big bottles of shampoo and shower gel. Better for the environment.

Great service . They are always friendly and helpful. Food is best I had in years if I compare another hotels . And bug bonus is that the kit hen also make food on demand . So if not on menu they do on request and it is worth to pay some extra money. Only downside is that trip.xom do not mention that beside the 30 peso terminal fee . And then on tge another side you need to pay 120 peso tourist tax . And as last 300 peso each person to go to the hotel. But for sure I will go back there

I was not sure what to expect on this dive trip, but I was not disappointed at all. From arrival at the resort, we got introduced to the resort facilities and dive schedule. This diving experience and the resort set the standard for what I consider an amazing luxury and dive trip at reasonable price. Asia Divers delivered an organized dive schedule with 5 Dives per day including the night dive. Using Nitrox I managed to enjoy every single dive from 8:00 AM after a lovely breakfast till 6:00 PM night dive. Each dive site had its own beauty and unique creatures. Then came Verdi Island dives and it was a whole new experience with an amazing reef and lush life with trigger fish, anthias and a variety of corals and unique creatures and tiny critters such as pygmy seahorse, mantis shrimp and many others. Tanks and equipment prepared by the dive crew with Nitrox (or air) and we just had to show up and dive. The resort was fun, beautiful atmosphere, exquisite sunrises and sunsets, lush canopy of trees and birds next to the beach. Good rooms that are comfortable and reasonably priced. The food was truly enjoyable. Lovely variety for breakfast and nice collection of coffee flavours and juices. 3 course lunch and 3 course dinner that’s amazing quality. You can’t go wrong with this adventure. I’m definitely going back again!

The outdoor pool, surroundings, garden, and amenities are fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the themed architecture, landscape, and even the common bathrooms within the castle. The availability of free amenities like the billiards, table tennis, and a gym added to the overall experience. The Wifi is also okay. However, if you have a car, be aware that parking is quite limited and occasionally locked due to its location in front of a house with a narrow gate. Clear instructions about parking are necessary, as maneuvering on the small road can be challenging. It took them a while to provide clear instructions for the parking. There's room for improvement in cleanliness, especially with bedsheets that had a lingering smell, possibly indicating insufficient drying. Additionally, the water kettle and cups seemed like they hadn't been washed thoroughly. Overall, my family enjoyed their stay there and with more improvements and the staff being more responsive before and during the stay would even make this place even better.
