Hotel Villa Garuti

Beautiful hotel just in front of the lakeside. Situated in a small village but ideal to start your visit of the lake by car - no trrafic jams like in the touristic villages. Everything was just perfect. Big, clean and quiet rooms with climatisation, huge bath room with all amenities, lovely terrace with ocean view, and a lovely park with big private parking just in front of the entrance. The staff was amazing - very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredibly good, lots of choices & homemade cakes. The two ladies working there were absolutely lovely & the breakfast terrace has a breathtaking view on the lake & mountains. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent and has a nice terrace & bar with view on the lake and a tiny harbour. There is absolutely nothing negative to say. This hotel deserves its stars and we will for sure be back. You can book it without hesitation.

We stayed at Villa Garuti for 3 nights as a couple, before travelling on to see the other Italian lakes. The hotel isn’t very big but does have a pool area and surrounding gardens. On the plus side the rooms are very good, lovely shower, large airy bedroom area and tea and coffee making facilities, fridge etc. Breakfast was fairly average, not much choice of fruit and constantly running out of cereal bowls, we were told to use a large coffee cup instead on one occasion! The breakfast terrace area is lovely and overlooks the lake, however this area is used again later in the day and promoted as a ‘roof terrace’ between 2-8pm for drinks .. except there’s no bar so the waiter produced lukewarm beer and G&T from a small cupboard area, no ice or lemon - it was all very odd. There’s a restaurant next to the hotel, apparently part of the hotel but we couldn’t get in on any of the evenings we stayed, really disappointing as the hotel wasn’t full so clearly locals were being given precedence. That wouldn’t have been so bad but the location of the hotel isn’t close to a lot of other amenities so choices to eat out are quite limited. We mentioned this to the reception staff, they just tried to book us into other restaurants further away. The head receptionist was very aloof and unhelpful but the other receptionists, Susannah and Roberta were lovely. There’s a short promenade and a beach area but apart from that you’re limited in seeing the lake side. We managed a day trip to Sirmione via the ferry (10 euros each return), it was very pretty and very busy! Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay at this hotel again due to the location and limited options with no bar and no restaurant for residents.

Esperienza PESSIMA!!! Appartamento piccolo, sporco mal conservato pieno di insetti frigorifero non funzionante in più il box doccia era talmente logoro e pieno di calcare che una delle porte si è divelta dalle guide frantumandosi…abbiamo deciso di soggiogare qui perché con noi c’era il nostro cane un pastore peccato che di fianco a noi c’era un altra famiglia anch’essa con un cane giocando purtroppo hanno rotto la porta. A questo punto mi reco alla reception spiegando l accaduto e chiedendo gentilmente di farmi pervenire il conto della porta giustamente essendo stata rotta da noi. La titolare con toni a dir poco scortesi mi presenta il conto della porta e del box doccia a questo punto gli fornisco foto dello stato di esso e vengo trattata in malo modo mi ha persino dato della pagliaccia!!! Mi spiace signora cara oltre a farle una pubblicità pessima le ribadisco che qui l unica pagliaccia è lei che alla tenera età di 77 anni non è capace a gestire le situazioni e a trattare con i clienti in quanto maleducata e ignorante.Da signori quali siamo abbiamo pagato l intero conto presentatoci su carta straccia fatto a mano. Cornice perfetta ma una volta entrati l orrore è non assolutamente adatta x soggiornare con animali. Rapporto qualità prezzo scandaloso!!!! Ovviamente c’è ne siamo andati un giorno prima e nessuno ci ha domandato nulla hanno fatto come se nulla fosse… alla faccia della struttura a 4 stelle cadenti mi vien da dire… nemmeno fossimo stati in un ostello!!! Dopo una giornata a Gardaland con la famiglia (5 persone) la frizione della macchina ha pensato bene di rompersi...a 260 km da casa.. alle 22... Mille peripezie per carro attrezzi ecc e nel mezzo abbiamo dovuto cercare un posto dove passare la notte perché non c'erano altre possibilità per tornare a casa. Il signore molto disponibile ha detto che ci dava un appartamento e che ci avrebbe aspettato anche tutta la notte. All'arrivo ci ha accolti con gentilezza e disponibilità. Appartamento bello..spazioso.. 2 bagni...vista mozzafiato sul lago. La mattina presto si è preoccupato di trovarci una soluzione per poter raggiungere la stazione. Quindi struttura molto bella..personale disponibilissimo...da tornarci in situazioni più piacevoli 😉

Ein tolles Appartement mit ausreichend Platz und schöner Terrasse. Wenige Schritte zum See und schöne Poolanlage. Nettes Personal. Wir haben auch das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse genossen und das hoteleigene Restaurant „Bistrot Lago“ mit innovativer italienischer Küche. Erholsame Dreigenerationenferien.

Hotel sul lago con porticciolo molto tranquillo. Splendida vista sul lago e camere molto accoglienti e ben curate. Sopra l'Hotel si può far colazione ammirando il lago e sono presenti delle magnifiche vasche idromassaggio. Il giardino molto curato con piscina incorniciata dal verde. Hotel molto curato nei minimi particolari.
