Hotel Palia Tropico Playa - New Opening 2024

Had a brilliant stay here at Tropico Playa at the beginning of August. Staff are friendly especially Ahmed on reception who always said hello and Thomas doing aqua aerobics and the bingo quiz(he was so entertaining and had many nationalities to deal with). Restaurant and bar staff worked hard and restaurant and rooms lovely and clean. Plenty of food and drink all day, my sons loved the pizza especially. Some nights were slightly themed like Mexican and Chinese but there was always other choices too. Maybe the cold meats, cheese and salad could be covered as I saw an occasional fly. Pool area was great, no issues with sun beds. Pool noodles and balls were bought out at times, one day this led to a mass pool dodgeball game which my 15 years loved. Only disappointment is that it closed at 6pm, during high season with the heat it would be nice to stay open later. Music was played at the right level. Entertainment is slightly lacking, I would say this hotel isn’t aimed at younger children. My teenagers played darts but there could be more things arranged. Suggested a pool Table in the pool bar area, doesn’t have to be live entertainment although I’m sure this would be appreciated. We had 2 rooms and both did not have working safes. We did report but it wasn’t fixed so had to hold of passports. Hotel is across the road from the beach, sometimes after eating in the air conditioned restaurant we would sit out the front and watch the world go by, evenings spent at the pool bar. Went up to look at the roof terrace area, view was amazing but we didn’t stay as it was so hot in the August heat . Despite any issues we had a wonderful time and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again!

Lovely experience, unlimited drinks, food, and sea entertainment. More of kids activities required. After dinner live music and other entertainment should be included everyday. Hospitality of the staffs is amazing. Perfect holiday.

Perfect meals in all inclusive. Rooms are new staff included. Very nice hotel. All crew were very sympatics and opened for help all time. In special case I would like to make big thank you Claudia from Reception for her excellent job and her support all time what we asked for. Thank you very much Claudia. Little minus is no lift in building 3 where are aproximatelly 12 rooms (this I think is not possible to solve). Roof top swimming pool opened only for adults all time. Family with children doesnt have any chance to visit it. Possible solution which we saw in another hotel is limit time during AM for childrens included. For example 10AM-1PM possible visit all and 1PM -6PM only adults. The sea is across street and very large and clean. Our visit was in August24 and was more silent than in El Arenal for example. We like Palmanova :)

Currently staying here now and it’s been a brilliant stay. The staff are all so friendly especially Ahmed on reception. We have a two bed room on the 6th floor which was unexpected. It’s spacious with a huge balcony and gorgeous sea views! It’s always cleaned very well. There is a huge choice of AI drinks including cocktails in large cups instead of the usual pitiful cups provided at AI hotels. Beer and soft drinks are self serve so never any bar queues! The pool opens at 10am which means the door is locked before then. This is a brilliant idea and means you don’t have to get up at 7am to queue for sunbeds! It’s 12pm and there are still plenty available and more upstairs in the adults pool area. There isn’t a kids club or designated entertainment team however I don’t think it’s needed. My kids are 9 and 11 and have found enough entertainment in the pool area where staff supply balls, floats etc. You are literally on the beach and in the centre of Palma nova with rides, trampolines etc. The food is good, there isn’t a huge amount of choice however the hotel isn’t huge and it’s nice to see masses of food not being wasted. Everything is clearly labelled. There is a late breakfast served by the pool then lunch before crepes are freshly made around 4pm. The chefs also come around the pool area with appetisers which is a lovely touch! There isn’t really any evening entertainment which again hasn’t bothered us but maybe something for the hotel to look at next season. We have been having our evening meal then heading to a lovely bar on the beach where the kids play in the sand then we sit by the pool later on at night. Western water park is 5mins in a taxi and well worth a visit. Overall the hotel is excellent, def worth 4 stars and it’s been a lovely relaxing stay!

The hotel has been refurbished and has just reopened, it is modern and kept spotlessly clean at all times. A man spends ages every morning cleaning pool and pool area. Toilets by pool always clean and tidy. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed. Breakfast Very Good every day and so was Lunch. Most Evening Dinner’s were Good a couple Excellent. Not really a Hotel for Children as didn’t see any child facilities apart from the Pool. No child entertainment. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Loved this hotel. Recently re-opened and the early reviews nearly put us off, but I'm so glad we booked it anyway. The location is perfect if you like lovely sea views, right on the little Palma Nova '*****', in a resort that's got plenty going on but not in a Magaluf way (which is only 3km away and the buses go frequently if that is your thing) - set just on the other side of the road from the lovely beach, and amongst lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We thought the food was fantastic - plentiful and lovely and lots of perfectly ripe fruit always available, brilliant cooked breakfast options and choices, variety of dishes at all meals, constantly refilled, and then in addition to that there were snacks at the bar most of the day. Pool bar staff were particularly good, very efficient and friendly and every so often even came around with trays of snacks or drinks. We were there the first week of July so probably not the busiest but there were always sunbeds free, we never had to queue for the bar or a table in the restaurant. Rooftop pool has a view to die for (and a small bar and cushioned sunbeds), but even from the terrace in front of the restaurant at the front of the hotel you have a lovely view of the sea. Everything everywhere is very clean and smart as I think its just been refurbished. Its very much a hotel that has all inclusive as an option rather than being a resort in itself, so depends what you are looking for, but it sits in a resort with lots to do and a stunning beach, and Palma is easy to get to by public bus or taxi. I would have given it 5 stars other than... 1. our AC never worked properly all week, even though we reported it multiple times. Someone would come and look at it, agree it wasn't working, say someone will be in tomorrow to fix it, then that wouldn't happen. Once someone did come and actually replaced the unit in the room and it still didn't work, so they hadn't figured out the problem. (loo stopped flushing one day, and that was very quickly fixed when we reported it to reception though.) 2. because of our flight times we arrived after dinner was finished and left before breakfast opened, and on both arrival and departure the reception staff told us there would be some food for us in the restaurant, but the restaurant was closed and wouldn't serve us anything either time, so they need to get the story straight one way or another between reception and restaurant staff!, 3. the all-inclusive wine was pretty rough (but I guess it usually is in an all inclusive hotel) and there were only 4 cocktails as part of the all inclusive deal (though they were very nice!... mojito, caparinha, tequila sunrise, pina colada). Probably the AC was just our room though, and the rest is only very minor *******, overall we loved this hotel and the resort and definitely hope to return one day soon! Thank you very much!

My friend and I (both 25) stayed here for 5 nights during September. Hotel is very nice. Newly refurbished. The room was okay, fixtures and fittings need more attention to detail. The view from our room was lovely. Coffee machine and kettle in room, unfortunately this is not refreshed, you need to ask at reception each day for coffee pods. Food and drink selection is amazing! 4 cocktails offered in all inclusive, this are made well and are not watered down! Food variety is very good for all meals and a selection of food at the pool bar between meals. Amazing Seafood and meat options. Salad bar, pizza area and dessert selection were all great. Very good quality, large selections of condiments as well. Soft drinks are all branded, Coke, Fanta and Sprite. As well as juice and smoothie machine. Tea and coffee available throughout the day and evening. Pool area is nice, very spacious. No issues with finding sunbeds. General decor and cleanness was very nice, and well kept throughout the hotel. Location of the hotel is perfect. Beach across the road. Magaluf is around a 15 min walk. Buses run regularly to Palma and other excursions such as Marineland and Western Waterpark. Not much entertainment during the evenings, but we just did our own thing so we didn’t really mind. Board and card games available to play at the pool bar. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. No real issues with the hotel at all. If those small issues were fixed in the room and the coffee/tea was refreshed in the rooms we would happily give 5 stars. Definitely recommend staying here!!

Excellent hotel , just been refurnished to high standard , everything clean staff friendly and hard working , food delicious, snack bar excellent throughout the day by the pool serving hot and cold food lovely prepared fruit on skewers crisps nuts etc , pool area power washed daily roof top pool area for adults lovely , lovely walks along promenade each way at night hotel right across from the beach which is clean sand and water

Outstanding & Highly recommend excellent. The Palia Tropico Playa is now the best hotel in Palma Nova we just returned from this stunning hotel completely renovated to a very high standard stunning rooms pool views & amazing roof top pool also excellent pool on first floor restaurant &food is excellent high quality with great dishes & fresh baked pizzas from the big ovens roast beef & lamb joints hams roast chickens great lunch & dinners breakfast all fresh baked pastries omelettes fruits amazing food thank you Jose Antonio &team . All inclusive drinks were brilliant cocktails wines sangria you want it they make it at bars kitchen too nothing a trouble for this hotel . I cannot express how special we & I noticed all guests are treated here, Gabriela (Manager) is amazing always attentive to anything you require also Ahmed &Simone reception welcomed us helped with our arrival to our rooms & all came to our room later to check we were content. To the owner of the Tropico , your hard work with your renovation of the hotel is amazing the hotel is beautiful brilliant restaurants excellent rooms stunning spotless clean every detail has been thought of but a special mention to your crew we thought we were on board a super yacht the Gabriela Ahmed Simone Anna Valentina Gabriel Hose Antonio Paco Mamadou thank you all. We are returning twice a year to this hotel so happy so taken care of great hotel high standards of excellence in rooms restaurant bars pool all over we just had nothing to worry about did not want to leave this hotel shows the others how it should be excellent value excellent place to stay if you want the best then book .
